Zumba is a fantastic workout! I burn about 600-700 calories (usually log 600). It's great for your core because you are stablizing your muscles the entire time. I've seen amazing results and am totally addicited! I'm thinking about adding hand weights too to increase the burn.

Ok, so I Zumba'd my heart out! The total class burn was 600, cooling down I burned an additional 100 making it 700! WOOOO HHHOOO!! I'm only counting 600 in my exercise journal. So super excited!!

In Sept, I started working out 2-3 times a week, starting in Nov I bumped it upto 5-6 times a week and this month I was 3 weeks late. Spoke to my doctor about it yesterday and she said it's normal when you disrupt your routine.

I love Zumba and go 4-5 times a week. My instructor used a HRM to report the calories she burns, it was 600 by the time class was over (she said she usually burns 200 more while her heart rate gets back to normal). Tonight I'm wearing my HRM for the first time to Zumba, I'll report back tomorrow what I burn, but I do turn…
