I'm SO relieved to hear this. I've had cramping since day one and it hasn't gone away. I had a few really bad ones yesterday -the worse and most painful yet- but no spotting. I've been so incredibly worried. My first official OB appointment is tomorrow, so my doctor will be hounded with all the questions I have!! :)

This is something my husband and I have discussed a little, but not in any real depth. We do have 7 more months to go! :) We're thinking of hiring a lady we go to church with, who is a stay at home mom with her own 3. We feel better about her than a day care because, number one, we know her personally and like her, but…

I was like this yesterday. I wanted to inhale everything! I brought yogurt and fruit with me today at work and it helped to bridge the time between real meals. We'll see how the rest of the day goes. Good luck!

I can fit into my skinny jeans (size 8), but I can't walk, bend or move! :) I'd LOVE to be in a size 6, but it's a no go right now.

I started pairing protiens with carbs as a balance, and it's really helped. Something like Tuna on a salad. I try to avoid breads as carbs and eat veggies as carbs. They both turn to sugar, but you can eat A LOT more of the veggies than you can bread. And I LOVE bread...I eat it, but more sparingly now. I chew gum after…

You look great! Congrats!

When I read this I was kind of shocked because I haven't seen anything like you're describing on MFP and I thought that certainly *I* have never had those types of feelings for another person. But then I remembered an old roommate I had. She thought she was a greek goddess and was very rude and put me down a lot. I saw her…

I do this workout 3 times a week. It's only 20 minutes and I usually burn 300-340 kcals on level 1, and 340-380 on level 2. I haven't done level 3 yet. I have a Polar F4 heart rate monitor. I HIGHLY recommend getting a heart rate monitor. It will change your workouts.

I needed that. Thanks.

I'm 9 days late, but I'd like to join in, if that's ok. I'm doing a biggest loser competition at work as well, but I'm going to use my home scale over the one at work. My stats: Goal for February 28th: 158 February 1st (starting weight): 168 February 8th: 164.8 February 15th: February 22nd: February 28th:

Woot! That's awesome!

I do a combination of strength and cardio. I generally do a Jillian Michael's workout dvd and then run afterward outside. It depends on which dvd I do. If I do a shorter video, like 30 day shred, I'll go for a run after. If I do a 45 minute workout, I don't go run after.

I've never thought of using coconut water. I've only ever seen coconut milk in the store. I'll have to look for it.

I made 1/2 cup of oatmeal with pecans and craisens after my work out yesterday and I couldn't eat it all; it was very satisfying and filling if you can stand oatmeal. I know some people don't like it. I'm going to get some southwest egg beaters, Crystal, for sure!

Thank you for all your help and advice! I don't have any protein powders or anything like that, but I do have apples and peanut butter. And eggs with jalepenos and tomatoes sounds amazing.

I secretly have a crush on Mike Rowe from Dirtiest Jobs.

What podcasts do you listen to? I need something to listen to while I work out and I'm open to anything!

It sounds like you're already onto a great start! Just do your best. You'll start to improve and get motivation from that. Celebrate the small victories, like making it a few feet farther than you did last time, or being able to take a hill that you could only walk up before. I like to run in our neighborhood because I use…

So true! I've made brownies with refried beans and they taste great! Also, as a peanut butter lover, I grind my peanut butter with tofu in the food processor to make it A LOT less fattening. And it goes a long way. It tastes amazing, too.

Thanks everyone for the information. I don't really balance proteins and carbs consciously, but I'll pay more attention to that, for sure. I don't eat a lot of meat, as a general rule, but I love all kinds of beans and eat them regularly. My protien levels are good. I do know I need to eat more for breakfasts -or rather…

Awesome job on the measurements! You should be proud. I haven't measured myself for about a month...I'm going to do it today when I get home from work. Good idea! Thanks for the vote of confidence!

I'm checking in and I'm feeling a little frustrated. I started at 168, went down to 162 and now I'm back up to 165.4. Why? I've been counting my calories, working out regularly. Could it be I'm not drinking enough water? I'm up by 3.4 lbs. Lame.

First of all, I want to say how wonderful this thread is. I feel that it's really important to share both our struggles and successes. When one person is down and feeling they cannot endure the daily fight, reading a stranger's success, however small, boosts our confidence and allows us to continue. My story is probably…

You are an amazing inspiration! Way to go!

That happens from time to time. Just start again. It's a change in life-style and it's not going to happen over night. Stick with it. You can do it!

Thanks, jtintx. There is a running club here but I've been aprehensive about joining because I assumed I'd be to slow for everyone. I didn't want to be the only one having to walk between miles. I'll certainly check it out.

You're all amazing inspirations! I've never run more than 7 miles in my life and, because I've injured myself two years ago, I've been afraid to push myself too hard. Do you hurt when you run? Do you run through pain? I would LOVE to say I've run a marathon, but it seems impossible. Would you recommend getting a coach or…

I LOVE zumba! Keep it up! Way to go!

This is so motivating. I just want to say thanks to everyone for being so uplifting and supportive. I'm more motivated to lose weight than I have been in months thanks to all of you.

I want to do it! I've been a member for months but I haven't really seen any change; I think a support system would be more helpful for me\-? I would LOVE to lose 30 lbs by Christmas but I don't know if it's even possible. I'm 5'8", just to give you a reference, and my weight boucnes back and forth DAILY from 162-168. I…
