I had this happen recently where someone I hadn't seen for three months said I looked slimmer. I had gained 15 pounds. Just say thank you and ignore it. Either they don't have a good enough eye to accurately evaluate your weight (who does?) or they're trying to be polite/nice and give you a compliment. You're not losing…

Over a 50lbs range, I can wear the same size shirt, but my pants size changes four times. 90% of my fat goes below my waist.
-
I don't have personal experience, but a quick Google search estimates 300-500 extra calories a day. Add those to your daily goal and see where you are after a few weeks.
-
I have a hard goal of 120lbs, but if I can maintain under 130lbs I will be happy. Once I get there, I'll start lifting and then I'll switch to monitoring waist/hip measurements and not weight.

I won a Fitbit One in a contest. I really didn't think I would ever use it (I didn't even really want it when I won it), but I thought "What the hell" and started using it. That was an awesome decision. I had no idea how active or inactive I was from day to day (it can vary a lot with my job) or how many steps I took on a…

It depends on why you weigh yourself. If you're weighing yourself every day because you are obsessed with your weight and are terrified of fluctuations so you have to check often, then yes, it's bad. IF, however, you want to track you weight for health purposes (example: weight vs calories consumed), then no, it's not bad.…

Maybe after you barf from drinking too much? :p

I trade fats. I drink skim milk and eat light cheese and yogurt so I can eat full fat ice cream! :p

That's when you start lifting to get muscles. Then you feed the muscles! More food, yay!

Lost 30 pounds but I wear baggy clothes so no one has noticed. XD

Mini omelettes. Cook five of them on Sunday and package them in tupperware. Then take one to work each morning. Omelettes can have a huge variety of ingredients so you can make several different ones.

I have a TON of junk in my trunk and it is definitely the last place to shrink. That an my upper arms.

I gain a little. What usually happens with me is that I just don't lose for a week to 10 days. After that, I drop like, 2 pounds literally over night. As far as not gaining, try not to give in to PMS food cravings. Also, just know your body will retain water and you will either stop losing or gain a bit every month. BUT…

I noted the same thing. Since I started eating less, I've actually had less food cravings. I've even found myself feeling full more quickly. I can still hit my calorie goals every day but I have a pretty sedentary life, so my intake is quite low. If you need more calories, you can poke around the forums for one of those…

Nope nope nope. While I always make sure it fits my calories for the day, never go without my booze. I don't drink often (never on work nights), but I could NEVER give up booze entirely. I just eat a tiny breakfast and lunch and then I have tons of calories for booze and the resulting food binge.

I got a Fitbit One for free from work (yay raffle) and thought "Ok, cool. But I'll never use it." It sat on my desk for a year before I busted it out and finally started using it. That was 8 months ago. I've never gone a day without it (ok, I forgot to put it on once or twice). I honestly had no idea how many calories a…

5'2" here. I am comfortable sitting anywhere from 130-135lbs. However, I was really in shape at one point and weighed 125 and liked it. Pick a reasonable goal and reevaluate once you get there.

I drink until my urine looks the color it should in the charts posted. I'm a tiny person and don't sweat a lot. I tried drinking 64oz of water/day and by the end of the week, my kidneys hurt and I was going to the bathroom every 45 minutes (not exaggerating). Urine color is how I judge my hydration levels. Some days it's…

I log daily in Fitbit which I have connected to MFP (it allows for 0.1 pound increments). I'm logging daily at the moment as I am just starting and I want a nice, accurate trend line. After I can confirm that my weight loss matches the rate I expect, I'll go down to once a week, probably Sunday morning.
-
Do you log these "cheat meals"? How big are they? You could be undoing some of the work from the rest of the week by eating a ton for your cheat meal. I used to have cheat meals (or even days) and found out I was nearly wiping out my deficit for the week!

I'll tell you mine to illustrate that everyone is different. At 5'2", 145lbs, I wear a women's size 12 pant. At 125lbs, I go all the way down to a size 10. I have massive hips so my pants size is generally a lot higher than everyone else at my weight/height. Asking others their sizes is interesting, but PLEASE don't use it…

Get under 140lbs. Came close before the holidays. Haven't been there in two years.

I cook my dinners for the week on Sunday. Lunch for me is currently a "usual" as I am busy at work and just keep something simple and fast. For breakfast, I give myself options and then pick 2-3 things in the morning to fill my breakfast calories. I do usually log all of my planned food for the day in the morning. It does…

I don't "measure" with a tape measure but I do notice when clothes start to get tight/loose. Since having clothes fit is my main motivation I don't really care about specific numbers. Once I hit maintenance I will most likely start measuring.

I'm 5'2", 32, 144lbs and currently losing at a rate of 1.5lbs/week. I've been using a Fitbit One for six months and it's been pretty accurate about my calorie burn. I burn about 2100 cals/day so for my 1.5lbs/week loss I eat about 1350 cals/day. I'm pretty active (walk 5 miles every day at a good clip).

Ideal weight for my height is 100-128lbs. I have been 125 before, but want to go a little skinnier this time (also to give me more buffer in my ideal BMI range). I'm aiming for 120 this time around, but really anything under 130 and I'll be very happy. Follow what others are saying. You stop when you feel good about…

I love a style of clothing called "Visual Kei" which is really big in Japan. Unfortunately for me, Japanese people are a LOT smaller than Americans. I bought pants in the biggest size they had, which will fit well if I am at a healthy weight. Unfortunately, I'm not at a healthy weight. I look at those pants at least once a…
