I agree with this. Weighing yourself every day is great for tracking trends as long as you understand that weight loss is not linear and your weight WILL go up some days. My preference comes down to calories and taste. I use almond milk for my shakes because it has fewer calories. But if I'm cooking and the recipe calls for milk, I use skim cow's milk because the almond flavor doesn't always go with everything (like mac and cheese >.<)

I weigh daily and use Trendweight.com to track my overall trend. Also, down 35 pounds since the beginning of the year. You can do it! Just remember slow and steady.

I took a two week diet break and ate at maintenance for two weeks. I was re-energized and actually excited to getting back to losing weight. I think you should set up specific rules for yourself and pound it into your head that the diet break is temporary and you have more to lose.

Usually my PMS/cravings are unbearable for only one day. So, for that day, I eat at maintenance. I still plan my food and track my calories, but give myself more calories that one day to handle the munchies.

I've lost about 30 pounds so far and I've only been tracking calories. Macro tracking can help you feel more full by making sure you're eating enough protein, but are not required for weight loss.

My mom knew nothing about calories when I lived at home, so I definitely gained weight. Now that I'm on my own and prepare all of my own meals, it's SO MUCH easier to lose. It takes a little more effort because you have to plan your own meals, but overall it's easier to control your intake.
