  • Wow, congratulations! That's really impressive. It took me almost a year to lose 42 pounds so I know 50 will definitely take some more aggressive working out and calorie counting this next year. Though, I take into account there were a few months in the past year where I stopped trying and mostly maintained so I'm hoping…
  • I actually hardly eat back any of my exercise calories at the moment. I like to leave as much room as possible for any calories I might have missed or didn't calculate right. MFP currently has me set at 1520 calories a day, which I'm usually under but occasionally meet or eat a bit over, with anywhere from 200 to 500…
  • Thanks! I've been slowly and surely changing my diet around to be healthier, I'm hoping the better it gets, the easier the weight will come off.
  • Thanks for the encouragement! One pound a week sounds easy but I know from experience it's actually not and that's why I was worried it might be unrealistic, haha!
  • I really enjoy yoga. It's not like, the most intense working out you can do but there's lots of videos on Youtube and I find that it eases my mind and body and puts me in a mood for proper, more vigorous exercise.

  • I have border collie/Australian shepherd mix. He's about four years old and he's often my walking buddy. He usually gets more excited about the walks than I do and sometimes he'll not even let me put my shoes on, he's in such a hurry to get out the door.
  • Amazing the difference 50 lbs can make. You look great! You've given me motivation to keep trying to lose my first 50
  • I'm with you. I always go over my calories when I eat a breakfast over 200 calories. It makes me ravenous for the rest of the day. I prefer a small, or no breakfast, and a medium sized lunch, a small dinner and around 400 extra calories for night time snacking because that's always been my problem. I can't seem to kick the…
  • "You're looking skinny. You're not starving yourself, are you?" Honestly, at the time, I took it as a compliment because I didn't think I'd lost enough weight to even be that noticeable yet. But when I think back on it, it was kind of a rude thing to say, because trust me, my calorie intake ranges anywhere from 1,500 to…
  • I'm 5'8 1/2" and my MFP goal is 145 lbs. I want to get there and see how I look and feel and adjust from there, but I think ultimately I want to try for 129. Like I said, though, it all depends when I get to my first goal of 145, for all I know I could be fine there.
  • My decision to make a change came about a little oddly, I guess. I'm currently in a limbo phase where I'm not sure if I'm pregnant or not. When I realized that I could be, this desire to eat better and more consciously just suddenly clicked in me. Not only did I want to make sure I was getting the nutrients I need, I also…
