  • 5 months 1 week -100 lb.
  • 95 lbs in 5 months. From 4X to XL in shirts (some of them) and 48" to 42" in pants.
  • Hmmm ok ...CW 264 GW 250 If i can get to that weight that'll be the lowest weight I've been at since 1996 or so, eeeK! And it'll be a total of 110 lbs in about 6 months. I guess I better start running. :)
  • Already lost 91 lbs so far in 5 months. Working on the next 50+, specifically shooting for 69 lbs. That'll put me at 200. Trying to get to my weight when I was about 17. Eeekk! 20 yrs ago.
  • For the 1st week or 2 all I was thinking was "maybe I should have tried NutriSystem or an Atkins diet another chance. Those 1-2 weeks are rough. You're hurting and body is in a panic and starving. Plus without a pre-op diet your body and mind is really freaking out because you didn't get a couple weeks before the surgery…
  • In no order because that would be impossible for me...Seinfeld, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spartacus, Sherlock.
  • Atkins has always been the best diet plan I've ever used. I've probably done it right 2-3 times and within 2 months I lost approx 50 lbs each time with little or no exercise. When I've added exercise I would lose even faster but then the carb cravings really made it hard to stick with it. Problem is it's really hard to…

  • I'm almost 5 months out from a sleeve. The only food I haven't been able to eat was fried rice. I have no idea why. I have eaten regular types of rice and it was fine but twice I tried some fried rice 2-3 bites and it came up. :,( no more Chinese food for me.
  • I just posted some today on my profile for a 4 months post-op. Pics are good but it feels even better to pull a shirt or pants out of the closet that I couldn't wear for 10 yrs (Yea, I know I'm a pack rat) and they fit great again. Now I have a new/old wardrobe.
  • There's also liquid forms of B12. Sort of like the sublingual kind, you keep it under the tongue for 30-60sec then swallow it. I'd say either types would be better than the pills.

  • The nutritionist who worked with my surgeon recommends everyone who's getting the surgeries "Don't look at the scale." Which she would then say "nobody listens to me about that". If people keep checking the scale daily, when the weight loss slows down people naturally get bummed out. Just keep doing what you're supposed to…
  • It took me about 2 months to really feel normal after the surgery. Just remember 1st, you just had a major surgery, that takes time to heal up. 2nd, now you're only eating maybe 15-30% the amount of food that you used to eat and at this time you're basically eating baby food. Feeling exhausted would be completely normal.…
  • Yes. P.S. Dear devil, my soul is available for rent or sale. :)
  • Ehh no. kinda gray.
  • Great job on getting the surgery. Especially for getting it when you're young. LOL. I've been 275-360lbs since I was 21. I'm 37 now, just had my sleeve at the end of August and my only regret is that I didn't get to do this surgery sooner. As long as you keep your protein high and your sugars low you'll "fade away" in a…
  • Muscle Milk is the rtd shakes that I get. I'm on bloodthinners and most shakes have vitamin K which I have to avoid. No K in MM and it's at every grocery store around me. They have the usual Choc and vanilla flavors, some stores have Banana cream which is pretty good too. Online there's a couple other flavors but i haven't…
  • I had a sleeve in late August but on Halloween I decided I'd have a few drinks. No beer, I'd rather avoid gas bubbles and all. I stuck w/ shots of rum, vodka and a few long island ice teas. Between the surgery and the fact that I'm on bloodthinners I expected (and was kinda hoping) I'd get a pretty good buzz going but it…
  • I always had trouble snacking at night. I just had a gastric sleeve 3 months ago. Now I don't get the cravings I used to, but if I do I just have a butter flavored rice cake. Only 35 calories on it and if I wanna jazz it up a bit I spray some NoCal Pam, then some cinnamon or popcorn seasoning w white cheddar. Tastes really…
