The "diet" I am following is really just slowly changing my lifestyle to something I can continue with forever. I still eat all of the foods that I like. So I do not have "cheat days." I allow room for error. I eat at a deficit during the week and aim to stay under my current maintenance calories on the weekends. Sometimes…

^^Absolutely! I haven't changed the kinds of foods I eat very much, if at all, and I have lost over 40lbs since October. The key is really paying attention to your macros (fat, protein, carb) and learning to eat smaller portions and look the cupcake dead in the eyes and say "I can always have you tomorrow instead." You can…

Not even close. It varies every day because every day is NEVER exactly like the day before. I eat about 1800 cals during the week and try to stay under 2400 on the weekends.

:blushing: But we just met. . . Also, take a look at what YOU wrote in your profile: For real, don't be so hard on yourself. And the suggestion below for freezing individual portions would be an excellent idea for future pies, or even the rest of this one. Learn from today and look for future solutions.

I made my boyfriend a homemade carrot cake for his birthday and ate half the cake by myself in less than 48 hours. I didn't bother to log the calories because I haven't entered the recipe yet, but go take a look at my diary and see how often I screw up. You're not unique in falling off the wagon. Everybody does it. Don't…

If I am not feeling hungry, then I do not eat. If I have reached my goals already but I am still genuinely hungry, I'll eat a snack. I can always eat a few calories less over the next couple of days or just not worry about it and move on.

Not necessarily true. If the rest of your food is still more food than you need, you will still not lose weight. At least not a considerable amount. The above statement depends largely on how much of your calories come from sugar. As others have said before me, you need to be in a caloric deficit - eating fewer calories…

That sounds like a rare treat to me rather than a binge. Keep the rest of your day low cal and you'll be fine. I think we all need days like that sometime. It's absurd to expect to NEVER go over maintenance calories on a single day ever or to NEVER overeat at meal ever. We're human. The important thing is to stay at…

protein bars or drinks. You can find some for around 200cals. Fat free Greek yogurt. Mix some honey or peanut butter into it and it's amazing. I put 1/4 of a crushed butterfinger and some honey in it yesterday and it was super good.

Nope, but I usually have some kind of snack right before bed. I do get hungry by 11am (an hour before I clock out for lunch) no matter how much I eat for breakfast. My stomach will always be growling and feel empty by 11am.

The Dr. Scholl's inserts from Walmart are the only that has helped me. The shoes that seem to hold up the best for me are Asics. But again, without the inserts, my feet hurt anyway. If inserts aren't helping you, you may need custom orthotics. Maybe ask your doctor about them?

I'll let somebody else chime in with the details on building muscle since I'm not familiar with lifting, but to drop BF% most effectively, you should be eating at a small caloric deficit and begin a weight lifting regimen to retain the muscle you already have. If you're using the muscle you already have and eating a small…

There is no real way to be 100% sure since each person's metabolism will work differently and each individual food you eat will have a variation in calories. Not all "10g of peanuts" will contain the same exact number of calories or fat or protein. Some may have more moisture and fewer calories and some may be fattier than…

The fat burning zone is a myth. If you are in a caloric deficit, whether that is reached through exercise or just eating less, you will lose weight from fat and muscle. For the best results in reducing overall BF% and actually losing "fat" and not just "weight," lifting weights while staying in a caloric deficit should do…

I'm not sure off the top of my head, but I went from a 36DDD to a 32DDD. The cup size just won't get smaller. I was hoping to be more like a D at this point. . . at least haha. Maybe I can end up at DD by the time I reach my goal. I hope.

I save some calories and some carb and fat macros for a treat and allow myself to have it after dinner. If you don't have a medical condition where you literally can't eat what you want, then it is possible to fit whatever foods you like into a healthy lifestyle. Sure, it's more ideal to get your carbs from vitamin and…

Frequently at school! So I choose to only have a small amount, or ask a friend if I can just try a bite, or decide not to eat it at all OR if I know there will be a treat, I leave 300-400 calories (mostly from fat and carbs) out of my day in case I decide to have something. I have worked hard since November to develop a…

You're fine. I don't make a big deal about going over on anything because food is good for you and important. It's never a good idea to feel guilty about it or make a big deal about it. Most days I try to meet my macros (45%carb 30%fat 25%protein) and some days I don't try as hard. Your body needs fats, carbs and protein.…

My favorite 1200 calorie meal plan is probably lunch.

Not a bit! Because: 1.) I don't have to read any of the posts, let alone click on them at all if I'm not up for it and. . . 2.) I like helping people. And sure, they can search the forum and find a million posts with the same question and a billion answers, but not everybody is familiar with how forums function and since…

Yes and no. Regardless of what types of food you are eating, a caloric deficit is a caloric deficit. If you burn more calories than you take in, you will lose weight, even if all you eat are chocolate bars. However, for optimal health it is important to get the proper balance of protein, fat and carbs for your lifestyle.…

Wear no perfume, Smelling somebody would ruin my tasting of the wine. I'd ditch the perfume and wear a mildly scented lotion if you insist on smelling like anything. There is NOTHING worse at an event like that than somebody making me sneeze and filling my nose and mouth with the residual-alcohol scent of perfume.

Stooooooooooooop iiiiiiiiiiiiiit! PLEASE?????? Many things in this world convert to many other things in this world. I eat sugar, I am getting less and less fat every day. It's impossible for the body to gain weight while in a caloric deficit, regardless of where the calories come from. The ONLY reason sugar should be…

This happens to me a couple times per month. As long as you go back to eating at a deficit, it's not really a big deal. It becomes an issue when this starts to happen every couple of days or every week. One day of going waaaay over won't undo your progress or sabotage your goals, it will just delay your end goal. Just have…

Since these thoughts and behaviors make you feel as though you have lost your identity and you are this unhappy, I am very glad you are seeking professional help. And please keep in mind that my answer was based on my personal experience and some literature I have read. I am by NO means qualified to give out medical advice…

Typically, where eating disorders are concerned, a "binge" is uncontrollable behavior where you feel like you literally can't stop and you consume an excessive amount of calories in private in one sitting. Your behavior/thoughts do sound like an unhealthy food relationship, and I encourage you to continue seeking help if…

If you post incorrect, misleading or downright harmful information, people are going to step up and point it out. This is a community for helping each other. While you may feel like you're being bashed and unsupported (and you may rightfully be on the receiving end of that) please realize it has very little to do with YOU,…

FAAAAALLLLLLLSSSSSSEEEEEE. How much you weigh is EXACTLY due to the amount of calories you consume. What's in those calories matters for optimal health. . . for example, you can eat a caloric deficit in pure table sugar and nothing else and you will lose weight. You can eat a caloric surplus in only lean meat and spinach…

But I love and eat most of those foods often. . . why have I always had a flat stomach? Even when I was 230lbs, my stomach never held much fat. I'm pretty sure it has more to do with overall body shape and BF% than certain foods.

As long as you're using more calories than you're ingesting, you will lose weight. I drink coffee with sugar and whole milk almost every day. I drink both diet and regular soda on occasion. I eat candy, I had sugary cereal for breakfast this morning. I went way over my daily calorie goal the past two days and I am still…
