I'm almost 2 years post surgery as of 4/1/14. SW 257, LW 149, CW 151. My goal is to reach 130; however, I've been stuck fluctuating between 149-152 last 6 months. I'm starting to notice that my appetite has picked up, I feel hungry more often even after I up my protein. I've been too tired to exercise lately. Have a follow…

I understand your frustration. I am 5 months out and have experienced several stalls but the scale will move again. You should try walking if you are getting dizzy from exercising. Make sure you are getting your protein in and taking your vitamins.

Thanks everyone for your feedback, I will keep trying different vitamins until I can tolerate them. I love my premier protein shakes they get me through the day when I don't have time for lunch, I especially love the Strawberries and creme shake. But i need to make sure my blood work shows in the next 6 months that my…

I am 5 months out and my calorie goal on MFP is 1200 a day; however I never reach that goal because of the little food that i can intake. My focus is to get my protein in and to get my liquids in as well. I barely eat the 1/3 or 1/2 cup food, I get full so fast and I try to munch on it throughout the course of the day to…

Thanks I was truly worried about that scale. The Dr. says I am obessing over nothing, I get about 600-800 calories in a day and I get around 65-70 grams of protein in. However during the weekend I guess if I became a little bit more active I wouldn't want to eat all the time. My weekend consist of resting because I am up…

Thanks so much ladies, I have truly been watching my sodium intake as well as carb intake. I try not to have more than 25 grams of carb a day. I am always drinking water and Power zero because I swear I am thirsty all the freaking time, I get about 60-70 grams of protein in a day. That freaking scale just isn't moving, I…

Contact your Nurse or Doctor it could be your potassium is low. That happen to me and they gave me some potassium pills to take with all the other medication.

Thanks guys for the feed back. Today I ate the insides of a soft steak taco and I think the steak is hard to digest because I feel like something is stuck in my esophagus. Any suggestions.

Sleeved on April 1st and I go back to work on Monday the 28th. 2 weeks after my surgery I was still exhausted and struggling to get my protein in. Now I get a boost of energy from just walking for some reason it makes me feel better. But yes I'm still tired and it's going on 4 weeks.

I'm the very opposite. I constantly have hot flashes it could be because I had a hysterectomy in 2010 but I'm not even 40 yet so I can't phathom hot flashes before 40. I've learned that weight loss is a Journey and you definitely have to be prepared and put forth the effort. I've lost 35 pounds since April 1st and it feels…

Sleeved 3 weeks ago and down 26 pounds 82 more pounds to lose to reach my goal. I'm also at a stall the scale hasn't moved in a few days.

Yes I was surprised to hear that as well. But I can only take a few bites of Salmon.
-
Thanks I will be shopping for new vitamins.

How did the liquid taste?
-
They are called Bariatric Advantage chewable berry flavor.
-
I do take it after a meal. Then I definitely have to drink something afterwards. But I still get nausea, do you know if they have this vitamin in a gummy form?
-
Sleeved on 4/1 and also removed gall bladder. Was released on April 3rd. It seems like everything except for water makes me nausea. Pain was tolerable I got 5 incisions. No leaks and I guess they drain everything by u awake from surgery. I get my 75-80 grams of protein down but I'm really struggling not to vomit after I…

I have no cramps, I basically stick to the Oikos 0 fat free Strawberry yogurt in the morning. My doctor ordered puree diet second day I was in hospital. He said if I can tolerate it then I can go home. My stomach was able to tolerate it. I'm not sure why every doctor give different instructions for each sleeve gastrectomy patient. The pureed foods I ate in hospital was pureed scrambled eggs. I know after I ate a…

It was truly a challenge, but my liquid diet was for 24 hours only. I did clear chicken broth, lots of water and sugar free jello. 2 weeks prior I was on smart one meals or healthy choice. I cheated once by eating 2 wings from KFC. I felt so guilty afterwards and thought that my liver wasn't going to be small enough since…

I take Nexium which I end up mixing in some applesauce. I ate a softly scrambled egg with cheese and mixed a 1/2 spoon of fat free mayo and now I'm full. I took a few bites and instantly felt full and satisfied.

Hi I had surgery April 1st and once you get pass the 1st week it gets better. I'm looking forward to the summer and losing weight and being successful with my new tool.
-
I also have a desk job; however, returning to work a week after surgery is a bit much. I am exhausted from maintaining medication, drinking water and protein shakes and eating yogurts and cottage cheese. I walk everyday for 30 minutes which truly exhaust me and I find myself needing a nap afterwards. This is my 1st week…

My doctor prescribed a liquid stool softner. The taste makes me vomit, I tried to mask the taste of it but I still vomit so I stop taking it. I will pick up some fiber gummed tomorrow. I get about 4 to 6 cups of water a day not to mention my protein shake. It tough getting it down but I try my best.

I had my surgery on April 1st and I'm not due back to work until the 28th of April. I can't imagine returning to work a week after surgery. I still have pain and I still have not had a bowel movement. I am tired after 30 minutes of walking. I think no one should return to work until after their follow up visit.
-
I had surgery April 1st and I can tell you from experience that you will only need loose fitting clothes, mouth wash, chap stick and maybe a small blanket for the car ride. I used the blanket to support my stomach. Other than that I slept most of the time because I was on morphine which made me incredibly nausea. After a…

Thanks so much for the advice. I will definitely get my rest, I'm tired all the time and I make sure I'm definitely getting my liquids in through water, protein shakes, crystal light. Stomach is really tender and still adjusting to the pain. Have to get my louvenox from Walmart today becuz they didn't have it in stock.
-
Yes I agree with you. It seems doctors give different advice. I was told to do liquids for 2 days then switch to puree.

It's a struggle but I don't want to end up back in hospital. So I am pacing myself and sipping my water. Hopefully I can keep the Refried beans down tonight.
