  • Wait...I just remembered my husband once gave me an iron. LOL. I guess I had blocked that out, because he is such a great husband and normally gives me awesome gifts.
  • Ooooohhh. I think you win. I seriously can't think of one. Once as a teen I got the same gift 2 years in a row from an aunt, but I was just thinking she forgot that she already sent me one. She lives in a different state from all her neices.
  • My family hates wholewheat anything. It is very annoying. I don't want to buy and prepare both.
  • It is less processed, but I believe the calories are the same. It does taste yummier, doesn't it? My husband liked to use it in his coffee when I bought some.
  • I think the small meals is probably best, but only if it works for you. If it doesn't work for you, then do the 3 large meals. Or try 3 meals, plus a snack. Have a good breakfast, and make either lunch or dinner a little smaller. Really the most important thing is sticking to a healthy amount of calories, and not starving…
  • I love breakfast, and have to have a filling one. My breakfasts are usually 300-400 calories. That helps keep me full longer. But I can give you at least one idea if you want a lower cal breafast. A deep chocolate vitatop muffin and a glass of milk will be under 200 calories depending on what kind of milk, and how big a…
  • These are all yummy ideas. I will have to try some of these recipes the next time I go grocery shopping. I just get whatever type of bread is on sale. Flatouts, wholewheat tortillas, pitas...etc.
  • I just made these! I can't wait for them to come out of the oven. I only put them in for 20 minutes to start because I have never had muffins take more than 25 minutes. The batter was certainly yummy! My muffin tins must be smaller than usually. I got about 22 muffins. Filling them almost to the top.
  • Wonderful job! Thanks for sharing.
  • Sounds interesting. I should see if my library has any.
  • I love July. The holiday, the parade(my kids are in Marching Band) the sailboat races. I live near Port Huron we have a big celebration here for the Port Huron to Macinac sailboat race. June is a close second. My birthday is in June, school finally lets out, and it is not stifling hot yet.
  • Whatever veggies I have in the fridge. Could be lettuce, onion, spinach, tomato, cucumbers, bell peppers, avacado. Some meat. Usually Hormel lunch meat(nitrate-free, roast beef is my favorite) or tuna. And cheese. Provalone or Havarti. Also, pickles and Banana peppers.
  • Hhhmmmmmm........I am thinking that I am not very picky. Haha. I do stay away from most processed foods now. But I can't think of anything for this post.
  • Search the forums for this topic. I haven't tried them. I think it may be an aquired tastes. After reading the description I think they would be nasty. I have no desire to try it out.
  • I am guessing she shops at Lane Bryant for their Cacique brand bras. They are the best bras I have ever tried.
  • That's horrible. DId the bras fit? If you can measure yourself, I would buy online from now on. I love Lane Bryants Bras. I thought that I would have to buy a different brand after I lost my weight.
  • Bumping this! I don't think I have tried one before, but I have been wanting homemade recipes for stuff like this. Something I can send to school with my teens so they can have some fuel after school before marching band practice.
  • My daughter would love that! By the way, what is in imitation crab meat?
  • I have no idea if that would be considered rude. If you were allergic to certain foods, than I know it wouldn't be rude. So all I can say is what I would do. I personally would not bring it. I would watch what I ate that day, and guess on the portions and calories. It is just one day. I am not saying pig out, but I…
  • I do think some cereals are slightly good for you. But I am not so sure they are good as a breakfast food. Well, you do get protien from the milk, as long as you put enough in and drink the milk. It can be a balanced breakfast if made with milk and fruit. I have slowly started eating things with more protien for breakfast.…
in cereal??? Comment by perrytyra May 2011
  • I am not giving up cheese. It is good for me. I just only eat one serving, and usually just one serving a day. I was eating the laughing cow cheese wedges, but have decided I would rather have real food. If I want something creamy for my crackers I will just mix cream cheese with whatever flavor I feel like putting into…
  • They do. I also have to make sure I don't linger on the computer too long after breakfast. Even if I am not hungry, I seem to want to snack when I am sitting down. Other than that, I am good for a few hours or so.
  • I love all the Taste of Home brand cookbooks. They always have the tastiest recipes and they always work great. If a recipe has ingredients that I don't want to use, I just change up the ingredients. For instance, I would never use stick margarine, so I always substitute butter for that. I won't use coolwhip, so I make my…
  • Breakfast should have a protien. Lately I have been having: -an egg or two(whole-the yolk is good for you) with some wholegrain toast and whatever fruit I can find -deep chocolate vitatop muffin with 1 T peanut butter and half a banana with 6 oz of 2% milk -an omlette made with 2 eggs, veggies and parmesan cheese -a fruit…
  • That would be good to know. Now I want a hrm.
  • When I take my Mom shopping, she always wants to go out to eat too. At the food court at the mall I chose a junior whopper without mayo. This is the first time I tried it this way, and suprisingly enough it tasted just as good. I drank icewater with it. I thought about a side salad, but I don't like the lowfat dressings at…
  • I am beginning to think that sugar is worse than fat. I think I wouldn't eat a candybar now more than once a week.
  • For me I have to try to keep busy. I eat when I am bored.
  • Awesome job with the exercise. Try to look at it as being healthy instead of the numbers on the scale. That is some good work you are doing. Keep it up, in the end you will be super happy with the results. And, make sure you are eating enough. The weight comes off fast at first, but then it slows down. Feeling good and…
