  • All I can recommend is to let the myfitnesspal calculator figure it out for you. That is what I have done, and when I follow it, it works for me.
  • I do think she overreacted. My only advice is if you two decide to get married, please do the premarital counseling. Of course I think everyone should do it if they plan to get married. There are so many things that it deals with that couples might not think about. And good job with your healthy changes!
  • I hardly ever get sick. If i had a cold, I would probably still be able to eat. I just wouldn't be tempted to eat junk. In the past whenever I felt nauseous I would eat fruit or yougurt to feel better.
  • I started at 190 pounds. I went with about 1400-1500 calories and in a few months lost 20 pounds. I only fell off the wagon because I lost internet. I really need myfitnesspal to do this. So I am back in it again. I am just glad I didn't gain it all back.
  • Bought my teen daughter the Reebok brand, don't know how they are price comparison to Under Armor. I just remember they were on sale, so we bought one. She was in a Christmas parade so she needed them. And they worked great. I would say they are worth it depending on how long you need to be outside. If you don't have to…
  • I will wait a week or two. My teen daughter thinks the book looks twisted, and won't read it. My husband said he is not going. I am hoping that he will change his mind, or else I am going to have to find a freind that is interested but didn't already go on opening day. By the way, I just read the first book Saturday. I am…
  • I disagree that it is wrong to have rules for when you kiss, etc... Plenty of people have them. And it works for them. I am not going to tell you that you should or shouldn't. I have been married for a long time, so I don't have to worry about that now, but based on my value system, if I was starting over, I would have…
  • For my toes I usually like bright red or hot pink. I had an Avon polish called Ruby Slipper, and it was sparkly. Right now I have nothing on them. I am thinking of buying some of Avon's new spring colors. I just bought French Pink, but I will use that for my fingers.
  • Besides water, I drink milk(with most of my meals) coffee and tea. Usually hot tea. I put a little honey or sugar in my tea and just count the calories. Ocassionally I will drink a vitamin water or and Arnold Palmer, but not often.
  • I guess i ate some of the same stuff i do now, just more of it. I have only illiminated a few things from my diet. I don't get McGriddles anymore. I and I usually don't do McDonalds hamburgers, mostly because their hamburgers taste like grease to me now. I used to eat a bunch of chocolate chip cookies when i made them, now…
  • A chocolate vitamuffin top with peanut butter. When I am splurging(i think they are too expensive) i eat one with peanut butter and a banana. Add a glass of milk and that is my 400 cal breakfast.
  • My husband took me to one on Valentine's Day. Eat the crab legs, just don't dip them in butter. I feel they taste just as good without it, and you have to work at getting the meat out, which keeps one occupied. I also love the wonton soup. Not sure how healthy it is, but you can't fit many dumplings in those bowls. And…
  • Whatever works is good. I would never get one because that is just one more thing to add to my busy day. I lost 20 pounds withought a scale, so I don't need one. I always level off, and I won't be to worried about my calories being exact. When I keep track of what I am eating, I probably eat at least 1000 calories less a…
  • I don't even carry shortening in my house. I used to get Smart Balance shortening just for those few things I needed a little for, like pie crust. But they discontinued it.
  • Not being able to go to a doctor sucks. My teenager had that issue, and the doctor had her try eating salty snacks at bedtime. Of course, I wouldn't advise you to do that without talking to your doctor.
  • I am also horrible at push ups. I notice that I don't mind lifting weights, though. So I would try lifting weights until your arms are strong enough for pushups. Right now I only have 2 pound weights. I need to get out and buy some heavier ones so I can work my way up.
  • I don't eat diet versions of food. I just keep to my calorie goal. I have't been doing good with that part lately, but when I keep to my calorie goal, I do well, even though I am eating whole cottage cheese, etc.....
  • How may people are eating it? Divide by the number of people eating it. Or, if it is just you, like the poster above said, probably 1.5.
  • I homeschool my youngest. Feel free to friend me. I just don't buy junk anymore. And if I have to (meaning hubby is complaining-skinny guy, never puts on weight) I buy the junk that I don't like. I don't like doritos, and I don't like oreos too much. If I don't buy it, it is not there.
  • It does get easier, and after a week or two, the trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night will stop. LOL.
  • I go to the movies twice a year. I plan my day, extra exercise, light meals, and I eat the popcorn. Not saying you should, but that is just what I do. I love it, and I don't eat it every day.
  • That must feel great. My husband's family (and in no way are they mean to me) are the only ones I know that haven't said one thing. So I either they can't tell, or aren't the kind of people to mention weight-loss.
  • First, I just want to say congratulations on your weight loss! You seem to be doing really good there. Next, just being confident helps a lot. From your picture, you look like a pretty girl. Just be yourself, and you will find the guy that is right for you. If you really feel that you need more help than that, look to your…

  • What I advice to people who get too full easily, is to stop eating 'diet' food. If you can't eat that much, then don't drink skim milk, diet pop, etc. Drink 2% milk, eat whole cottage cheese, regular organic yogurt, etc..... I am not saying eat a bunch of junk, or drink regular pop. But some 100% juice every now and then…
  • I haven't compared the ingredients on those, but I will say that I tried the Meijer Organic instant oatmeal packets, and the texture was gross. I'll take steel cut oats any day. Right now I am eating BetterOats instant oatmeal, and it is SO yummy. Especially the dark chocolate, which I didn't think I would like. I am…
  • Way too much. Birthday party foods friday, pizza and breadsticks today, and nachos tomorrow.
  • I was 190 to start, I was also sedentary, and MFP gave me 1470 to start with. I lost 10 pounds the first month. I am down to 173 now, and MFP has adjusted my calories to around 1400. So, stick with the 1500 for now. You will see results, and won't be starving(as long as you eat the right filling foods).
  • I went over about that much also. I didn't realize there was going to be so much good food at a party I went to this evening. It was for the youth group, and I geuss I expected hot dogs and chips, which I am pretty good at avoiding. But there was much more. I would have been more careful earlier in the day if I had known.
  • It has been a long time since I had a boyfriend. Of course I was skinny then, so I probably didn't care. I can't imagine not telling my husband. He can see how big I am, what would it matter about the number?
