I just try to find the closest thing in the database, and guess. I am not eating out every day, so I don't stress. Just try to make sure I drink lots of water that day, because the sodium from eating out is usually crazy.

I have this problem too. But here is another way to look at it that might also help. That food is wasted whether you eat it or not. Splurging can be healthy. Just eat regular healthy food, and you should do fine. Use some olive oil or butter in you meal if you think you will be too full to eat all the calories. You don't have to eat all of them, just try not going under 1200 net calories.

Yes, there is a such thing as starvation mode, but your calorie allowance is higher than a lot of us. You say sometimes you go over a bit, so I would not worry about eating all of them back today if you are full. You need to make sure that you don't go under 1200 calories net each day.
