I wouldn't worry about it. Unless she brings out a sex tape . . .

Seriously!! How is that important or relevant? OP congrats on the weight loss - based on your pics you don't look too thin. You look just fine and I can see a really big transformation from your previous pics. All you need to ask yourself is this: 'Am I happy with how I look?' - if the answer is yes then continue on and…

I've dropped two dress sizes and nobody has noticed outside of my immediate family. It's partly because my extra weight was 'carried well' - meaning it was quite uniform all over my body. I think that once I get closer to my ideal weight it was suddenly be super visible. Until then I just keep going. x.x.
-
I'm 5ft lost 18 pounds and barely anyone has noticed. I think it depends on how you hold the weight and how much you have to lose. As I get to lower numbers there will probably be more noticeable changes in my appearance. x

I see your point. You definitely have a much more positive outlook than I do. I guess I need to stop worrying. Yeah I'd rather not have definition on my back - it just doesn't appeal to me. Arms would be ok. My 1st and primary concern is having a flat stomach so if it means that my body fat has to get so low that I have…

That is a tiny frame - I can't even get mine to meet. They are about an inch away from each other and I'm only 5ft. Large frame -_- Yes its very difficult accepting the fact that I'm never going to look like a supermodel. Just joking. I wouldn't want that responsibility. Tbh I'm not entirely sure that I know what I want my…

Hmmmm . . . you talk a lot of sense. Which is unfortunate for me. Yes you are right about self-confidence issues but I am working on it. I guess I will just carry on lifting but maybe look into strong curves instead. Thanks for the advice. x.x.
-
Agreed, I think I might check that out instead. It really is my lower body that I want to focus on (bum and tum). Thanks for all the advice from everyone. I don't personally think that being too muscly is appealing - I just want to have a very smooth body (for lack of a better word) so no skinny bits but no flabby bits…

30DS is primarily a cardio workout with some strength training. If your anything like me you've envisaged a fit toned body at the end of your weight loss journey. You may want to incorporate some heavy lifting into your exercise regimen - check out stronglifts 5x5 or anything similar. No you will not get bulky as you are…

I'm 5ft, 143lbs. Looking to get to around 126-130. Quite muscly so doing Stronglifts 5x5 + cross trainer to keep muscle and burn fat. Want to look good in time for summer and beyond!!!
-
I was also thinking in between 125-130. You probably just have a lot of LBM as your legs look quite shapely (a good amount of muscle). Scale is not so important. You look great.
-
Exactly this. The poster above who lost loads of weight and ended up quite muscular managed to maintain a substantial amount of her LBM during her weight loss journey. You can't gain on a deficit so this muscle was already underneath her fat. Diet helped her lose the fat and exercise helped her retain the muscle.

It's good to be brown. x

A-mazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best transformations I've seen on here and your tips are going to be very useful to me. :flowerforyou:

I couldn't be skinny if I tried. I'm naturally built too big and too muscly. However I can be fit and toned and tbh that would suit my lifestyle better as I actually like to eat food.
-
Amazing. I am naturally quite muscular but I'd really like a flat stomach so I've just started doing weight training (barbell hip thrusts and deadlifts). When you go to the gym do you solely focus on strength training or do you incorporate cardio into your routine? x
-
I think you look fine in the first picture but you definitely look better in the after pic. As long as your happy no one else matters. You don't look unhealthy - you look fit and slim. X
-
Sounds to me like your skinny fat and no amount of weight loss is going to make you look 'toned'. If you want to look better you are going to have to start weight training bear in mind that you will gain some weight back. It's up to you though you can continue with your plan and become super skinny or start eating right,…

People should take ownership - it's your own responsibility to ensure that your logging is correct. Common sense and google are your friends ( if they'll have you).
-
Seconded. I just started doing these barbell hip thrusts that Bret recommends. I'm using really light weights to start off with (20lbs) but you can increase the weights quite rapidly. He pretty much said that if you could only do one exercise it would be this one as it improves your overall fitness and activates your…

I actually agree with you unlike a lot of people in this thread. When you focus too far in to the future you start to freak out and nothing gets accomplished. Based on the meal plan I think it is a great start to get you on the right track for weight loss providing that you remain at a calorie deficit. Over time you will…

I am 5ft exactly and weigh 143 lbs. I have lost 18lbs. Want to get down to 130 as my next goal but will probably end up at about 125. Think my last bit of stomach will take another two months to go. x - Oh and anyone is welcome to add me I'm very active on here!
-
I'm going to catchup on both tonight. I love Martin Freeman. Already had my daily dose of GOT. x

I stall for a few weeks, often appear to go up on the scale and then I drop several pounds at a time. It happened at exactly the same time each month. Google 'weight losses and whooshes' there should be an article about it xx

I do the elliptical for about an hour, 3-4 times a week. The amount MFP gives is actually slightly lower than my Jawbone UP band. 596 vs 630 and I don't factor in the extra weights I carry while working out. I weight 146 lbs so its perfectly likely that you burnt that amount and maybe even more but I do agree that a HRM…
-
The best thing to do is to avoid talking about it. I only discuss my weight loss goals with my friends list on MFP as we are all going through the same experience of trying to shed some extra weight. It's not obsessive to take care of yourself but what happens is that sometimes it can make other people feel guilty about…

I absolutely would not!
