  • I have a tattoo. Would love another. I am a hunter. When I grow up (I'll only be 40 this July, so there is still time) I want to be an opera singer. After years of being nearly 60 pounds heavier than what is on my license, I am now almost 60 pounds lighter. Lame, right? Who was I kidding?
  • Maintaining a 202 lb. loss for 5 years? WOW! I have had some tell me the same...just because of the difference so far I am sure. Still technically obese, still over 200 lbs. I'll stop when I'm done!!
  • Absolutely amazing!! You have a very realistic outlook and strength...keep it up!
  • I will be 40 on July 28. After my third and final baby on October 26 I decided that I would get some weight off by the time I turn 40. My pre-pregnancy weight (and starting weight officially) this go around was 315. I topped out at 349 during pregnancy. I just hit the 100 lbs. lost point this week. I don't have photobucket…
  • I use the ipad app and when I enter a new weight a pop up asks if I want to update. I don't get email, but that may be due to how I have things set up. I would have to check.
  • I originally didn't realize that updating goals when prompted would result in a calorie reduction - I thought it was for changing mini-goals, not calorie goals. I said no a few times because I put in what I think is my ultimate goal weight. When I agreed, I was docked 130 calories! Then I agreed each time until I got to my…
  • To say nothing of someone who plays sax... :) *looking down nose at someone who plays an instrument young enough that the original maker's name is known* About 10 lbs. from being simply "overweight" myself...but I certainly don't feel obese anymore...but again I am using BMI to set my goal weight, so...yes and no, I both…
  • Ooh!! Sign me up! :) Can we do an even trade of dinner with your teenager for dinner with my 5 yr., 4 yr., and 6 month olds? Between cutting food, erasing all trace of pickle juice left on a plate (try squeezing that out of a bun), taking kids to the bathroom (though you did 30 minutes earlier before boarding the car),…

  • I second that!! So far, I just figure consuming a few calories less than logged is fine if it is just a small amount that they pilfer...(unless it is really really yummy), or that it evens out when i lick a smear of peanut butter off my thumb from making their sandwiches (and I mean a truly small smear, nit a measurable…

  • Hi there! Congratulations on your awesome success thus far!! We are in similar boats it appears, as far as what we need/ want to lose. I just passed the 100 lbs lost mark, and honestly, it was anticlimactic. I too had a recent slow down in rate of loss, and I guess I didn't have expectations for reaching the 100 mark.…
  • Weigh in officially on Wednesdays. Occasionally will step on the scale between to see what the number is, but not too concerned about fluctuations the wrong direction. Unless it becomes a trend. My goal is to be vigilant with tracking (and making healthier choices on a more regular basis) and am so far successful not…
  • Normally I try once a week, sometimes I step on to check during but Wednesday is official. I did weigh on Monday to see if I was on track for hitting a mini goal and I had done. This morning my official weigh in showed that I was .2 lbs from my goal. So, I did my scheduled run, came home, drank a few ounces of water,…

  • Got the two as a free sample...cookie dough and cinnamon roll. Microwaved the cookie dough for 10 seconds before tasting...promptly threw 3/4 in the trash (don't know why I ate the 1/4 I did). That was a month ago and I am too chicken to taste the other. I know lots of people like them...I haven't had other protein bars…
  • Yogurt Wrap sandwiches ( or regular...wraps may be easier to eat on the go) Nuts Fruit, fresh and dried Hummus and pita or pretzels Jerky Hard boiled eggs If you can heat things up wherever you are, then a whole host of things you can make and reheat. Some convenience stores have microwaves for items they sell...could you…

  • Possible, yes. I am down 86 pounds since the beginning of November, just over 5 months. I did start at 315 so I had/ have a very large amount to lose. Only started exercising regularly about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Following the calorie allotment from MFP and eating back some exercise calories now. Good luck!
  • Threw my back out pushing a piano down the hall...it helps to have extra weight for that job!
  • I am 5'9". Started at 315 lbs, set at losing 2 lbs a week, lightly active, and was allotted 1860 calories. Now weigh 229 and get 1580 calories. With my last 10 lbs. lost I did not update because I am losing well at this number and don't want to reduce calories again. Started at the beginning of November. Didn't exercise…
  • MFP has an ounce of trimmed sirloin at 33 calories so that would jive with the 200/ 6 oz ETA that on livestrong.com, 3 ounces of trimmed sirloin is 155... Doesn't state raw or cooked though. Is it standard to list it cooked or not? ETA again, that would be for broiled...didn't read carefully.
  • Didn't know about the trimming. Thanks! Yeah, the values start low like 200 calories per 6 ounces and go to over twice that. The ribeye is significantly higher, but I will still be able to fit a nice little amount instead of sirloin depending on what I drink! Thanks for the info!
  • Wore a different bra that "arranged" things differently? This would do it for me...

  • When this happened to me, I scanned the same barcode again and it came correct. I should say that the first product was not the right product, as opposed to, say, the right product with different information. I always check too.
