  • My mom used to dehydrate fresh sweet corn for use in soups but it never made it to the soup...we ate it By the handful. Not crispy, but a really good chew. I think frozen would taste better than canned, but I've only ever had fresh myself...
  • At 15 to 20 degrees, I am comfortable in fleece running pants, a long sleeved running shirt under a wind and water resistant shell (kind of similar to neoprene), light gloves, and a fleece ear warmer, if it is windy I add a hat. If it is colder, I add tights under the pants and two or three additional layers on top...and a…

  • All the clothes!! Anything that I wear that fits that was not bought with the intention of camouflaging myself is a dream in my book! Loving maxi dresses with light cardigans. Couldn't pull off feminine at 315 lbs. but now I want to be a girly girl. Just bought a pair of skinny jeans at 80% off and have to find some…
  • How wonderful! The power of a mind made up is mighty! Best of luck as you embark on a new school year!
  • Not permanent, but I think a piece that was hanging in the entrance does remain there permanently. My MIL will be giving on a bus tour to St. Louis this fall and one stop will be the botanical gardens...I'll have to ask her to check...though if she is there she could hardly miss it!
  • @lighteningjeanne...do you find with the lower rise styles that they slip off without unfastening sooner? I have to scour the thrift store racks I guess to find something that isn't the stereotypical "mom jean" (but higher rise is coming back in I guess...for those who don't have to tuck in the tummy flab like I do!) but…
  • A few handfuls of candy corn...just saw it in a local store and if I had that many calories left...what I would DO to a bag of candy corn!!!
  • In for answers...I also have this issue. Schedule dictates that I run very first thing in the morning between 4:30 and 5:00. Can't usually squeeze one out (sorry) first and by mile 2 of either 3or 4 planned, about 50% of the time I am expending lots of effort to not unload (sorry again.) Thankfully there are new sidewalks…
  • Thanks for the ideas...are there any good Yoga videos anyone could recommend? Tough to get to a class with the littles...

Not being winded going up a flight of steps Feeling strong running 15-20 miles a week Seeking out activities to do with my kids (including pool visits) rather than avoiding them Just…
  • I always put them in a corral or designated place because guilt... For what it is worth, my MIL who utilizes the handicapped parking spots, leaves her cart near those places because she finds it easier to get into the store with the support of a cart rather than her cane and she figures she is doing someone a favor by…

  • My husband and I used to call my shapeless legs my "mystery knees". Don't remember how that started, but I am sure that I started it. I still think they are a bit shapeless, but in my last 50 lbs. to lose I hope that the mystery is solved!
  • It is not uncommon for pitch to rise as volume increases. Just being aware of it and speaking more quietly should help. When I use a voice assist system, depending on where I am in the classroom I can't really hear what is coming through the speakers so I have to trust that it is working and watch the way my students are…
  • DOUBLE DREAM HANDS! Errata = magic!

  • Anyone have a gif of Christopher Walken from that music video he was in?? ETA: Fatboy Slim's Weapon of Choice. Hot
  • At 315 lbs, I had no major health issues aside from morbid obesity. I had my third baby last October and had a blood pressure situation (averaging 140/105) that required medication. Freaked me out that it may become more and more of a problem so I started November 1 and didn't look back. Blood pressure at time of blood…

Have made her spinach artichoke pizza (I sautéed the onion and garlic first) and a similar barbecue chicken pizza. Going to make a buffalo chicken pizza with wing sauce and some bleu cheese.…
