  • Hi everyone! I'm new to the group, I just got the program today and will be starting "officially" on 3/10--I did Burn Circuit 1 today though and loved it! I'm pretty new to doing weights and still have quite a bit of weight to lose but I'm excited. Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • Haha, I never said I wasn't complaining! ;) Thank you though. Today I did Dynamic Core and ChaLEAN Extreme Burn Circuit 1, so it was still two workouts even though they weren't both T25.
  • Mid-way through week 4 of Beta and I've challenged myself to do double days all of this week and next… maybe. So far so good.
  • Blackberries! I've also started buying a bunch of these all-natural fruit strips from Whole Foods when I go grocery shopping, they're small and only 60 calories but they satisfy that need to nibble on something a little sweet every now and then.
  • I really love No More Trouble Zones, but I haven't really done it consistently as part of a program so it's hard to say that any of my results have been specifically from that. Right now I'm doing T25, and on Sunday which is supposed to just be a "stretch" day, I usually do NMTZ and then stretch so I still get a workout in…
  • I've actually heard the opposite--that lots of people have gotten better results with Ripped than with the shred. Personally, I completed the shred in December and bought Ripped in 30 with the intention of doing it alongside T25, but I ended up just doing T25. For some reason it just wasn't as appealing to me anymore once…
  • Awesome! You're one week ahead of me. :) I'm planning on starting ChaLean and Gamma simultaneously if I can handle it.
  • Yeah, I'm working on that. :-/ I'm vegan, and it's proving to be quite difficult to meet my protein goal without also going way over on fat.
  • Awesome, thanks. I ordered it last night and can't wait to start!
  • I messaged you, thanks!
  • I LOVE T25. I have two more weeks of Beta left and I've lost 13 pounds. I really take well to Shaun T's style for whatever reason, I find him motivating and funny and just really enjoy the workouts.
  • Wow! You look amazing, congrats! And go Seahawks ;)
  • Welcome! And congrats on starting your journey. :) You may already know about this but I would suggest checking out Focus T25 if you're not sure if you're ready for Insanity. It's Shaun T's newer program and it's only 25 minutes a day, for ten weeks. I have two weeks left until I finish the program and I've lost 13 pounds,…
  • I haven't done Insanity but just my two cents: I'm going to continue on and do Gamma before I do Insanity. I have the workouts already and they're really great and fun, and I think it will be good preparation.
  • Alpha and Beta are each five weeks. Gamma is sold separately and is four weeks. The idea is that Alpha is your "foundation" stage where you learn the moves and start getting accustomed to the workouts. Beta takes it up a notch, the workouts are a little more intense (but not crazily so) and you start working with dumbbells…
  • I don't think it's designed to take a break, I didn't. Congrats on getting to Beta, I'm starting my third week today. :)
  • I would say to make sure you're eating enough. Since you don't count calories it may be hard to tell, but you may want to take a look at your BMR on an online calculator just to have an idea--that's the amount of calories your body needs just to function, make your organs work, etc. so you need to make sure you aren't…
  • Thanks for this--hemp-fu sounds really interesting! Where do you find it? I don't recall seeing it at my Whole Foods, although I haven't been looking for it exactly.
  • I just finished week 2 of Beta and I love the program. As of today I've lost ten pounds since starting, but honestly even more than that, I feel so much stronger, healthier and happier. I genuinely enjoy the workouts (probably because I just find Shaun T so charming and funny). As for the price, do some checking around on…

  • I've had the Ft4 for almost two months now and really like it. It's simple to use, doesn't have lots of bells and whistles but I wasn't looking for anything fancy--just a way to keep track of calories burned during my workouts without spending a fortune. I can't speak for the other models but I'm really happy with mine so…
  • I'm in Beta now and I've been burning somewhere around 230-250 for Rip't Circuit, Upper Focus and Dynamic Core, and 300+ for Cardio and Speed 2.0. Speed is definitely the highest burn, usually close to 350.
  • Even though I'm only doing 5s right now?
  • Thanks. I'm thinking if I get a pair of 8s and 10s that should probably be good enough to at least start.
  • bump… I'm interested to know what size weights you guys who have done the program used. :)
  • I have a Polar Ft4 that I got for around $60 on Amazon and love it. :)
  • Thanks everyone. :) For those of you who have used dumbbells for ChaLean, what weight did you start with? Right now all I have are 3s and 5s, and I know you're supposed to lift heavier for this program… do you think 8s would be okay, or should I go up to 10s? Keeping in mind I have pretty weak upper body strength even…
  • I started at something like 1360 calories, lost a few pounds then stopped. I did some research on BMR and all that and realized I was probably eating way too little so I upped it to 1650 plus half of my exercise cals, didn't see any loss after about two-three weeks on that, so about a week/week and a half ago I went down…
  • I hear you on the Total Body! I hated it so much. As for calories burned, I burn more with Speed 2.0 than with any of the other T25 workouts. Upper Focus and Dynamic Core are not as high, in the same way that ab intervals was in Alpha.
  • Thanks, yeah, I do stick to my calorie intake, measure and weigh everything so it's that much more frustrating to not see the scale move. Best of luck to you guys!
