  • I just finished week 2 as well and feel great. :) Have lost 5 and a half pounds since starting.
  • I LOVE my Vitamix. We literally use it at least once a day, if not more. It makes the smoothest, creamiest shake and smoothies for breakfast, and then I often will use it again if I'm making a cashew cream for a recipe (which I do often, being vegan). I didn't buy any extra container, but we still use it to grind oats and…
  • If I'm being organized and responsible, I'll usually have a general meal plan for the week and so I can pre-log at least my breakfast and lunch at the beginning of the day. For example, for lunches last week I made a recipe that serves 4, divided it up into 4 tupperwares and those were my lunches Monday-Thursday, so I…
  • I'm currently doing T25 with the intention of doing Insanity afterwards… I felt like I needed to do something first to get my body into better shape so that I can do Insanity with less risk of injury and will be more likely to stick to it. I love T25 so far and highly recommend it!
  • I guess it was only a matter of time before the Beachbody coaches started appearing.
  • I use the RAW brand chocolate flavor, I can't say that it compares to Shakeology because I refuse to pay $120 for thirty beverages, but it is super yummy and has, I think, 17 grams of protein.
  • I generally drink between 8-12 eight ounce cups a day.
  • I've checked, there are plenty of Alpha + Beta sets for unfortunately no Gammas just yet. :( I actually don't like $60 is too bad, I just want to be sure it's worth it before I spend the money!
  • Thanks, yeah I'm thinking I'll probably need at least 5s.
  • There's also some good info on Shaun T's blog here: http://shauntfitness.com/insanity-shoes/
  • I just bought a pair of Nike Flex Trainers, today for cardio was the first time I've worn them for a workout, but I liked them! I'll update if that changes, but hopefully not haha.
  • I took Saturday completely off, and Sunday I did Jillian Michaels's Ripped in 30 and then the stretch video, which I LOVED.
  • I'm still figuring out what will work best for me personally, but I think I'll use it as motivation. For example, yesterday when we were walking past this AMAZING molten chocolate cakery I told my boyfriend: if I do really well keeping up with my calories this week, let's go get Hot Cakes next Sunday. I consider things…
  • Awesome job you guys! I'm still following Tania's modification on burpees for now. I may try again tomorrow, but so far I just can't seem to get them down and I'm concerned about injury from doing them correctly. When I try to come back up, I can't quite jump so that my feet land flat on the floor, I'm always landing on my…
  • I didn't have a HRM at the time, and when I entered it in as circuit training on here for my weight it gave me 220 calories. I'm doing Ripped in 30 now, and according to my HRM I burn around 300-320 for level one, which is comparable in intensity to level one of the shred, I think.
  • I don't want to repeat too much of what everyone else has said, but I've found that the way my partner and I have cut down on our grocery budget is simply with some meal planning. Once a week, we sit down and plan out our dinners and a few lunches for the week, and make our grocery list based on those meals. We usually…
  • I eat vegan, but that's both for health and moral reasons. I don't follow any specific low carb/high fat or vice versa sort of things, I just eat as clean as I can because it makes me feel good. Processed foods and beverages to a minimum.
  • I'm 5'4" and about 180lbs and my first week I burned anywhere from about 220 to 340 calories depending on which workout it was.
  • I did it before I had a HRM, so I logged it as circuit training, 20 minutes.
  • I hate to be an annoying bumper, but was hoping for more input?
  • Also, if I were to use the TDEE method I would be eating around 1850-1900 calories a day. I guess this might be a stupid question, but that just seems so high! Is it reasonable to expect I would still lose 1-1.5 pounds a week with that intake? For reference, I currently weigh 178 and am trying to get to 150. My diary is…
  • My favorite dressing to make is just olive oil, lemon juice, dijon mustard, grated or finely minced garlic, salt and pepper. Low in calories, healthy fats from the EVOO, super tangy and delicious on just about anything: salads, veggies, as a dipping oil for bread, etc.
  • Thanks! I have MFP set at 1.5 pounds a week, and I have anywhere from 30-50 pounds to lose. I've never been much smaller than where I am now as an adult, so I'm aiming for that 30 pound goal and then will reevaluate.
  • I currently have a tupperware of leftover homemade champagne frosting from some cupcakes I made on NYE sitting in the fridge, and it's taking every once of willpower I have not to just sit in front of the TV with a spoon and the tupperware on my lap. UGH. If I don't have those sort of things around the house, I hardly ever…
  • I don't blame you for wanting to catch up, you're not nuts! Also, congrats on the 1.6 pounds, that's great!
  • Quinoa, tofu, tempeh, lentils, nuts. I just started using the RAW brand protein powder because I wanted to up my protein intake after my workouts, so I've been making shakes with that which are pretty tasty and pack in at least 20-25 grams.
  • My legs were shaky after finishing lower focus too! I made it through cardio and it wasn't too bad, but I did have to modify a bit: mostly with the squats/lunges. I feel good though! Looking forward to resting tomorrow and stretching on Sunday. One week down!
  • I recently bought a Polar FT4 from Amazon for about $60 or $70, I can't quite remember. But I love it so far! I bought it knowing all the caveats about it potentially not being entirely accurate, but I thought it would at least give me an idea of what my burns are and from there I can make the decision about how much, if…
