"Whoever is trying to bring you down is already below you." On my way to reaching my -30 lbs weight loss goal with MFP, people skinny-shamed me too. It was hurtful, and hard to forget the mean comments. At one point, I was eating a healthy lunch at work in the staff room, seated in between two women who were obese. Another…

Thanks @DBL_IronDog :) ... I'd like to get back to my -30 lb goal weight, but I'm grateful for the progress I've made and maintained. Here's to 2016!

Thanks, @jbheller14 ... I stuck to my 1200 calorie daily limit - only going over on days that I exercised - and lost one pound per week for the first 20 weeks straight. I was happy with that pace, because I have seen people drop weight quickly and then struggle to keep it off.

753 days of continuous logging since Day 1. Maintaining at -22.1 lbs. Gained back 7.9 lbs since reaching my final goal of -30 lbs in October 2014. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my MFP peeps! And thank you to @MyFitnessPal. #MFPforLife

Your transformation is absolutely amazing! I have no doubt that you will reach your goal, and agree with you 100%: slow and steady wins this race!!

I was just going to say, it's amazing how our eyes 'grow' when we lose weight! Great work, lady. I'm like you: No pills, no special diet, didn't eliminate any foods ... I just eat within my Daily Calorie Limit and exercise when I want to eat more. I've been maintaining my 30 lb weight loss within 5 lbs of my goal since…

I'm turning 48 in August 2015. My husband and I have four sons, and I work full-time. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (Hashimoto syndrome) in 1994 at age 27, 3 years after the birth of my second son. In 1998, 3 years after the birth of my third son, I lost over 50 lbs using the Weight Watchers POINTS system. I have…

I think I have become even more positive through this process. When there's progress, even if it's small or slow - or both! - you can't help but be encouraged and motivated by it

Thank you

I believe accountability is critical: first, to yourself, but also to others who can support you in your goals. MFP makes it really easy to be accountable in all ways - love that!! Good luck in your personal journey

YOU CAN DO IT !!! Take it one day at a time, one pound at a time. Don't give up. In time, you will reach your goal. I'm sure of it - you're more than halfway there!!

November 30, 2014: Today marks my 1 year anniversary on MyFitnessPal and a #365daystreak Reached my goal weight in early October, then bumped myself up to the maintenance level for my Daily Calorie Limit, and have been successfully maintaining my goal weight ever since with only minor +/- fluctuations. MyFitnessPal for…

@mckaytobe: I'm strict about sticking to my Daily Calorie Limit, but I'm not strict in my food choices. If have a sweet or salty craving, I indulge it - but always *within* my Daily Calorie Limit. So that means I may have just one cookie, instead of half a dozen, or a small bowl of potato chips, instead of the whole…

Thanks for all the encouraging comments, everyone! Not only do I feel great, but now I have so much more FREEDOM when it comes to food. Thanks to MFP: - I enjoy food more now because my portions are reasonable - I no longer feel sick/bloated from over-eating. I am in control of what I eat, and 100% accountable to myself. I…

BEST Success Story *ever* - and I read a lot of Success Stories! Thank you for writing it. Sharing it with all my MFP peeps! :)

Thanks, @rashidat_e_ ... two of your inspirations were mine too: wanting to feel comfortable in my own skin, and wanting to fit back in to all my clothes - and I do now!

Thank you, @tiggsnanny!

It's all thanks to the "family member" who recommended MFP to me, @lauraclake ;)

YOU CAN DO THIS, @Nowolga! Slow and steady wins the race. Stay focused - don't become discouraged by minor fluctuations. Be 100% honest with yourself 100% of the time. And "not fearing the camera" is a great goal!
-
Thanks for the encouragement, @sashafischang! Like you, a couple of my goals were to wear a swimsuit and not be embarrassed and wear shorts and not be embarrassed. Truth be told, I'm still a little embarrassed... stretch marks and cellulite don't disappear with weight loss ;) ... but even so, I feel a lot better about…

Thank you! That's the first time I've heard the "you look younger" compliment and I like it, I really like it! I read your Profile - you and I have very similar goals, and I love ziplining too. Keep up the great work :)
