So much THIS.

Why was six scared of seven? Because seven ate nine!

CHILL OUT. just send her a message like hey, it's <name here> from PoF. Just thought I'd check I took your number down correctly. How are you doing? Don't ask her what she's been upto lately, she may interpret it as "Why no message me online waaaagh" and don't be like "oh um is it ok for me to send you this / hope you…

Text her, she's probably busy with life - logging on isn't always top of people's priorities - and I say this as somebody who met her partner online ;D As for "it's her turn", if you like her, who cares? Don't play silly games, if you want to text her, text her.

I'm losing under about 1% a month along with my actual weight loss. My BF% has more noticeably started to decrease since I started strength training 2-3 times a week :)
-
This is a fast track route to loose skin UNLESS you pair it with strength training. I've lost over 70lbs and don't really have much loose skin at all, if any -as I still have 30lbs to lose I could possibly end up with some eventually. I make sure I mostly eat nutritious food (I rarely eat junk, although admittedly I've not…

I'm almost at a healthy weight, so I can't really speak any more about the really life-changing things I found as I moved from morbidly obese because I'm currently enjoying them! Being able to fit comfortably on public transport, not being terrified of cameras (although I still approach with trepidation), being able to go…

YES!!!! When I was at my largest, and had just started dieting (on WeightWatchers), I announced with Glee to my co-worked that I had bought some wet look-style skinny pants in a UK size 10 (I was a UK 22) as they were on sale (I think I got them for like 4pounds!). My colleague thrust a really bitc*hy look at me and said,…

You look fantastic! Your waist, arms and face are visibly a lot slimmer, you're carrying yourself better (in the first photo you're a bit hunched, which is what I do when I'm feeling chunky!) and you look so much happier -and- healthier! xx
-
AMEN! I'm 5'0'' with a small frame, so my goal is loosely 108. If anybody wants to add me, please pop a message in with your request please :)
-
Yes, I've dropped about a size and a half, and my feet are now a bit narrower too.
-
You are dead right - apart from the fact that most of us know this. I see countless to-and-fro threads that go like this: Poster: I'm up 2lbs after increasing my exercise!!!!! Helpful but misinformed MFPer: You're putting on muscle, that's why you weigh more! Hoorah! Me / Informed person: No, you're probably retaining…

This. People saying muscle weighs more than fat make me want to slam my head against my desk. It's like saying a pint of beer weighs more than a pint of cider!
-
Great difference, good job!
-
Amen!

Where did you go out to eat and what did you choose? I'm sorry your husband isn't supporting you, but he's probably not very clued-in about healthy food and diabetes- some people just aren't. And sadly, nobody can force him to change that - even though he needs to get healthy himself, that's his prerogative sadly and you…
-
Mine's about the same as the MFP estimates, sometimes lower, but I push myself quite hard.
-
can really see a difference! Good job !

I got some from my local pool - speedos, they were only 10 pounds. I wear contacts because I have HORRIBLE short sightedness (-5 and -7 or something) and like to swim, as well as do aquafit. When wearing my goggles, I can stick my head underwater regularly when doing breaststroke with no problems. The only downside is when…

I also use the Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey protein in strawberry. It's not unpleasant with water, and quite nice with skim milk!

Salted popcorn isn't high in calories (unless they load it up on butter), but I remember from Weight Watchers that's what we were always recommended "points-wise". But be wary of a sodium-related temporary gain. Or FroYo if your cinema do it (most Ben and Jerry's stalls in the UK offer it!).

Bump. Interested to what people say about this. I would have thought that the latter calculation, as it accounts for your arm and forearm maybe somehow is trying to calculate your frame size too? I have no idea! My omron scales put me at 40% body fat, but the US navy one puts me at 29%. (My BMI is 26.8).
-
Bear in mind other factors than BMI. It's a good range to work for, but other things, like body fat are also important- it's better to have a BMI of 27 and 20% body fat, than a BMI of 24 and be 40% fat! Also, bear in mind your frame (size of your bones / skeleton). There is such a thing as being "bigger-boned" as well as…

TEAM MORE! However, most of the time I'm exercising to eat more *healthy* foods. I'll do extra exercise AND eat less if I have a calorific event on the way.
-
Wait.. what? He won't LET you? Provided its not his money and you can afford it, you're more than entitled to buy yourself a scale!

tuna!

As this is the internet, and a very large community, I expect at least a handful of people to post here to disprove this point but - I find that mostly, the people who claim they can't meet their 1200 goal in threads etc., are generally the people with the most to lose, which is why I generally call bull on the "I can't…

AMEN! That said, if I were one of the people on this site that do simply amazing workouts (like running marathons, or burning over 1000calories reguarly) I would find it quite difficult to eat my calories back without resorting to unhealthy foods. I generally try to eat clean, but if I've burnt a lot of calories I'll eat a…

I love bodies that are still feminine, but with some muscle tone - Beyonce, Jessica Biel (before she lost weight recently), Jennifer Aniston and Fergie all have bodies that I aspire to.

i'd be up for this, been stuck between 138 and 141 for practically two months now :(
