  • I'm on day 4 of Killer Body & I'm so in love. My body finally feels the way it did when I was running. (I've been injured & can't do any high impact moves) there are a few jumps in the workouts that I modify, but I can do 95% of the moves.
  • In for the sympathy. I'm divorced almost 2 years. I have regrets, but we were both miserable as a married couple. We're much more functional as co-parents.
  • I'm so jealous! I am currently taking time off from jogging due to an injury which may have been caused by overtraining...or not taking breaks (boo). I am also currently on hold for my doctor to discuss said injury and have been on hold for more than 30 minutes (grr!) I can't wait to run again. (sad face).
  • I've only been at goal weight for about 3 weeks, but so far I haven't managed to walk by a mirror without checking to see whether I really look slim. I am totally tired of the "stop losing weight" comments. Although the "you need to eat a cheeseburger" comment was really funny. I've never in my life been accused of needing…
  • I don't really care if I'm fat. It doesn't bother me. Yes it did. And I did something about it.
  • On my treadmill, there's a kind of virtual 1/4 mile track, so I count those as I run and I make them into fractions, so like a 3 mile run is 12 quarter laps, so I do 1/12, then 1/6, then 1/4...countdown. I also listen to music and books on tape. When I run outside its either book on tape or whatever's bugging me or my own…
  • I just watched Joe's story last night. It made me very sad for him. It was powerful as a reminder that we're all on the same spectrum, just at different ends.
  • Is 4 years old old enough to play by him or herself? I forget. Once my kids got old enough, I would walk circles around the playground while they played. Before that, I used to put on my iPod and chase them around the playground. Now I run laps around their soccer field while they practice.
  • I log it under cardio as "strength training".
  • I went for a short, slow run & remembered those days fondly. Exercise is how I get high now! (oh, and beer) I'll def be drinking beer tonight.
  • Vanity. Also I run to "run away" from depression & anxiety.
  • Don't be so hard on yourself! You are attempting to change a bad habit. It's going to take many tries before it sticks. Anyone who has ever quit smoking will tell you they tried and tried and tried before they were successful. Keep trying different things, different workouts, different vegetables, different recipes, just…

  • I love Hoarders! Maybe its evil, but it makes me feel so much better about myself. No matter how messy my house gets, at least I don't have dead cats buried in my stuff! I can't watch 600lb life because I can't stomach the surgery parts.
  • What I *hate* about office parties is not the cake & donuts (which I don't eat) but the fact that everyone assumes that you'll give up your break to go to the party, or that the party counts as your break. I go for a walk on my breaks. Sure, I like Susie, and I want to attend the party, but I get sad when I have to miss my…
  • My kids have decided they are too old for child care, but I'm not comfortable with them waiting in the lobby alone. In 5 years, I think they can come with me into the workout studio (or stay at home if they want).
  • Sounds fun.
  • I think I had a Subway turkey sandwich.
  • I like friends! I want my newsfeed to be new every time I log on, and for that, you need a lot of friends. I don't actually post very much. I have eliminated all of the automatic posts from my own feed except for the workouts and the "she's logged on for x number of days." I don't need people patting me on the back so…
  • I LOVE MFP! I feel so "weird" doing things in real life, like running the track while waiting for my kids' school bus, or walking back and forth in my living room to get my "steps in." But here on MFP, it's all normal!
  • I had to stay up late to work on a research project last night & I kept myself awake by eating all of my son's Girl Scout cookies! (He bought a box of Samoas at the mall yesterday) And I ate them. All. (And I only went over by 78 calories!!)
  • I quit a year and a half ago, and I def ate my cravings. I didn't worry about it though, I figure quitting smoking is more important. Once I hit 100 days smoke free, I joined MFP.
  • I'm not using my fitbit for scientifically accurate measurements. I'm using it to play games with friends, to motivate myself to get up and on my feet more often. Since I started using it, my average steps per day have gone up by 2000. So that's on the same device, and at least means that I'm moving around more than I used…

  • Unfortunately this kind of thing is something you will have to deal with if you make the decision to exercise. People can understand going to the drive thru every day, but for some reason a commitment to exercise is weird. I walk up and down the office steps if it's raining and I can't go for a run over my lunch break.…
  • Wipe down your equipment after you use it. The cardio equipment is all computerized. If you know your way around a copy machine, you'll be able to figure it out. Nobody's ever paid any attention to me, even when I mouth the words to "Roar" as I'm running on the treadmill.
  • I went cold turkey off of coffee & the headache only lasted 2 days. After, I did go back to decaf, because I like the taste. I drink it with whole milk on days that I have oatmeal for breakfast. If I have something higher calorie for breakfast, I'll drink it black with sweet n' low. It works for me. I used to drink cups…
