  • I read up on it a while ago and dismissed it as nonsense, but some things ring true for me. I'm blood type A and I do thrive better on an organic, vegetable based diet with limited meat (which is the way I eat anyway). I also do better with minimum alcohol and caffeine, but figured that most people do anyway, neither are…
  • I'm not easily shocked, I've been calorie aware etc since I was about 12yrs old. I remember houmous surprising me, especially as it has more of a health stigma attached to it. I can also remember raising an eyebrow at granola, 1 portion of my favourite brand is 250kcal without milk and I can easily pack down double that…
  • Interpretation varies and clean eating will always start arguments :) I interpret it as whole food, whole grain and no processed junk, preferably organic. Food as it should be naturally.
  • I like plain greek yogurt. I like the tangy / slightly sour kick to it, but my tastebuds are wired that way. You could also control what you add to it, home-made granola is really good and keeps well in a sealed container!
  • I drink it before a long bike ride, or occasionally if out in town. It's good before a bike ride because I get less muscle pain as well as a bit of an energy boost!! I need to be careful though, it can make my digestive system kick into overdrive if it's too strong. Coffee isn't a daily thing for me because I like it with…
  • As far as fitness and diet goes, I'd like to maintain the good habits that I've established. I want to be strong, fit and flexible. I don't have a set weight loss goal, but I do have an dress I'd like to fit into before my Birthday in June.
  • 1,500... for an active male? I think you're eating far too little.
  • I do the calorie controlled snacking thing. Work can be quite bad for snacks at this time of year, so I will often take some nice G&B chocolate with me and leave it in the car. If the snacking urges get too bad, I fetch it and break it up into little squares and eat them slowly. If there are tins of chocolates and I fancy…
  • I tend to pick a more calorie/protein dense snack, better satiety and I don't feel the need to overeat at my next meal. I work it into my calories Snacks like a boiled egg, piece of fruit and a few nuts, slices of cooked meat, nuts and seeds, yogurt. I personally do well on 3 meals and 1 afternoon snack if I'm hungry. I…
  • We've spent less on food since switching to organic. It makes you mindful of what you're putting in your basket. Preparing food from scratch also cuts down costs.
  • Definitely do something you enjoy. If you used to enjoy doing something but haven't done it for a while, get out there and try it again. It's about getting active. We like to go walking sometimes, so we picked up a booklet of peak district walks for the weekends - otherwise we like to cycle. My Husband has a gym…
  • I quite like lemon in WARM water, but I mostly drink it with a decent squeeze of honey when I have a cold :) I juiced for 2 days before my wedding, I had noooo appetite for food and my dress was on the slightly tight side of 'well fitted'... it's only a quick fix though, the weight went back on within a day of eating!
