Ok, sorry. But even the biggest boned woman at 5'5" would be well under a size 10 at 15% to 20% bodyfat. At some point, the big boned explanation ceases to hold weight.

An extra 200 lbs on a 1000 mi flight amounts to somewhere around $30-$45 (iirc). So you're looking at many many millions spent per year due to overweight passengers. All of which are reflected in ticket prices in such a low profit margin industry. Just sayin. The healthcare cost increase is many times higher, and much…

No. No they are not. Your line of thinking has quite literally killed many tens of thousands of people. Especially men who are already prone to heart issues. A number of heart malfunctions can hit WITHOUT prior indication from routine tests and bloodwork. And obesity absolutely increases that risk The bloodwork done on 99%…

So by that reasoning, the obese person with good blood markers is only ever "unhealthy" during the few seconds of their heart attack. The previous 50 years of their life were adequately "healthy". Right.
-
The favored line of the obesity promoters. Healthy for a year or two, yes. There is NO avoiding long term damage from obesity. period. Just think of the extra strain on the heart. This is unavoidable. Go to any given obesity acceptance site. There will be hundreds of people claiming they are healthy and use some absurd…

Nope. Cant fall asleep touching anything besides sheets. I am hot all day. My metabolism is a freakin furnace. Touching all night is too much.Thankfully, my body heat keeps all would-be cuddlers at a safe distance. My arm falls asleep in about 30 seconds of cuddling anyways.

This post was from one of those acceptance sites. The first comment I read on that site yesterday was by someone emphatically stating they are perfectly healthy at a size 20. The rationale? They can hike 5 miles and their doc says all blood markers are normal. Never mind the overwhelming evidence that being that weight…

Almost always prefer it down instead of a pony tail. But pony tail can be gorgeous. A messy bun too. But down is always best.

They need to fire their entire industrial design team. The flex band sucks and falls off. The force gave people rashes and had to be recalled. This stuff shouldn't be complicated. Plastic bands are not some new innovation.

They have classes in gyms? And MFP tells us that men who take classes are nasty old mysoginistic creeps
-
Yes of course, I mentioned that in my first post. But these comments never bring that up. If they bring it up like you did, then it's very valid. But she is being celebrated on purely an appearance standpoint. Anyways, it's totally subjective so hey, whatever floats her boat. I guess if enough girls compete in her shape,…

It's a bikini pageant, the body is judged as well as the face. The judging preferences are known to everyone competing. The other girls ALL hire well known physique coaches to get in contest shape (the winner hired a well known IFBB Bikini pro for contest prep). This girl either didn't hire one or didn't follow the given…

They definitely allow people 400lbs to fly.

lmao. yes, online dating is ridiculous. Take their profile preferences with a grain of salt. Reality says otherwise, like you pointed out. With online dating, you have to realize that it's basically online window shopping for an attractive woman. They get flooded with messages. It comes down to looks, height, wealth, and a…

uh huh.

You are the worst troll on this site. my age changes when I have a birthday, of which I've had two since I first came to MFP
-
yes. I am barely 25. Just look old, thanks to my balding genes and too much sun
-
Why are people celebrating a girl purely because she has a less conditioned physique in a competition where the physique is a major criteria? It's insane. It'd be like congratulating a bodybuilder for coming in soft because the insecure guys out there can more easily relate. Sure, these pageants are also about other things…

some football teens are insanely strong and they don't have developed physiques. If you can't put up 315 on bench and 500 on deadlift your first year lifting, you are not naturally strong. I sure wasnt. Many highschoolers put up those numbers their first year weightlifting. Those are the future competitive powerlifters.
-
Aren't enough teachers? lol, what reality do you live in? The teaching industry has one of the largest supply surpluses in the United States. There are many tens of thousands of teachers waiting for an open spot. Same at the college level....plenty of people waiting for an adjunct position despite those positions only…

yep. If you are bulking for more than a few days and eating sodium and carbs, the bloat is pretty much inevitable. my face always bloats first, it subsides a little as I keep bulking, but will only go away after a maintenance day or two. If you want a successful bulk, you have to overcome mental barriers. It sucks, but…

He'll be 70 when you are 50. 10 years is one thing. 20 is a whole nother ballpark.

that. Just use sunscreen. You will barely tan in a bed if you're wearing spf 50

Fountainhead is probably my favorite book. Atlas Shrugged...ehh, some parts are good (famous Francisco monologue comes to mind) Fountainhead though...brilliant. Much less Objectivist ideology and better storytelling,

yes, agreed on all counts. But populism does drive the tendency towards that strong central command and uses anti-intellectualism to gather support. Either way, it certainly does not serve capitalism. Not in theory and definitely not in history.
-
Anti intellectualism does not serve capitalism. Anti intellectualism is the death of free markets. It fuels populism, often the antithesis to capitalism. edit: so many isms. gross

Exactly. The "myth" of the alpha male did not cause this kid's mental illnesses and subsequent actions (someone actually stated this insane claim in this thread). This mentally ill, depressed, lonely kid USED the alpha male philosophy to justify and fuel his anger. Every mentally ill individual who has gone on to commit…
