Hey! I'm Diana and I'm just south of Seattle! :) I did NS over three years ago and did well. I got down to a pretty happy weight - even though it wasn't my goal weight. Unfortunately, I've been sick and my weight has ballooned way past where it's ever been. My doctor told me not to diet and count calories - which is why…

Thank you for clarifying! I understand what you mean much better. I agree with you - health should be our focus! I think the pressure we are under from media, from society, is so extreme. We should have each others backs. Even if it means watching how we say stuff so as not to upset people. I know women who would gladly…

Mmmmmmmm.....Sherlock... I think if you think you might be a geek - you are! :)

I really hate hearing people judging anyone on WEIGHT. It's a number! And it's different for everyone! No ones body is like your own and we do not all fit into those boxes. Even at the exact same height my 169 can be drastically different from someone else's. I have a very large frame and I really pack on muscle. Even if…

This made me LOL...still chuckling...

I'm 5' 8"+ and I originally thought I would be happy at 169. But I see pics of me at 162 and I was way too skinny; I was 175 in high school and in super good shape. So now I don't really have a weight goal! I'll see when I get there. As long as I'm super strong and flexible! :)

I'm a gamer - PC, console, arcade, board - I adore games. Sci-fi/fantasy geek - books above all but Trekky, Whovian, etc...this list gets too long. Huge science nerd - I taught 'Mad Science' to kids for years - dry ice ftw. I love PAX and my webcomics. Cosplay and anime. Nerd music - Weird Al, Jonathan Coulton, Dr.…

Me! In 3 months I've only lost 9 pounds BUT I've lost 8 inches. That's almost an inch a pound! Crazy. It can get really discouraging watching friends drop weight like crazy while we go slow but steady. Feel free to add me!

I am 5' 9" and 160 is UNDER my bodies happy weight. It could be that 40 pounds ago you were starving and your body wants to be this weight for a reason. You may not be the best judge of what your body needs and may have a very skewed idea of what weight you should be. I agree whololeheartedly with other posters - please…

Strawberries filled with very lightly sweetened cream cheese or even marscapone.

As I mentioned because it happened in June - it doesn't just happen in the cold - sweat can cool the body enough to make it happen. I'm glad that the cold is your friend and you don't have this. Good luck!!

Spent a lovely evening with friends doing a 'Taste of Tacoma' - we go to multiple places, order one thing (the BEST thing on the menu), and share it between everyone. What a blast!

My DH is home for the weekend and just found out that he doesn't have to travel next week!

The only thing you can control in life is you - what you DO, what you think, how you respond to out side influences. You can't control anyones comments - you can only control how you react to them. Shrug them off. Give up that negative energy and focus on all of the good! Good people here helping you! Good advice! Good…

Most the women in my family have it and never talk about it! I mentioned it to my Grandmother and she was like 'yeah, me and all my sisters and their kids have it too." Thanks Grandma. lol it skipped me - thank goodness - because I love the cold! My daughter unfortunately has a slightly severe case that is actually getting…

I'm not a runner but I wanted to just put my two cents in - just in case - since this is close to what my daughter goes through. She has 'cold urticaria' - which is basically an allergy to the cold. When she would run in gym class she would swell up, be unable to breath, and her tongue would swell up. If she had only…

Love this thread! I have none of my own. I'm afraid that once I get one I will be addicted and get a bunch more. :)

Washington!!!!! ;) I just hid my scale in a closet. I will let it come out once a month, when it will hopefully have learned it's lesson. Measurements ftw!
-
My hubby finally home from a work trip, all of us going out for dinner, my daughter spontaneously getting up for open mic night and KILLING it. SO happy tonight!!! =)

The scale may not show it but fat is definitely missing...but why all in the right boob???

Bring a healthy snack or pre-plan what you are going to stop for. There are options out there, even at fast food places.

Just like bras! However, I'm not going without my bra.

I did this for 3 months and my hair was gorgeous. lol Seriously. It took two weeks of crappy hair and then it was definitely better. It smelled great and felt great. I only stopped because of swimming. I HAVE to get chlorine out of my hair asap. Now I use all natural products when I need to and dry shampoo is my best…
