  • ninerbuff, thanks for chiming in. Do you agree with the process of if you burn slower you % wise burn more fat calories,, but if you do high intense exercise that uses up all you free glucose from muscle and fat, if you don't eat or consume alcohol it will retrieve it from fat stores? (maybe you are saying the same thing.
  • strike that I have gained a little bit of muscle (based on BF)
  • yep. it's 11pm. I'll get to it soon!
  • Yay I love learning about new aspects.. Now I have to figure out what to do with my high resting heart rate. lol.
  • I should add that I can routinely do 120bbp and can peak as high as 170 but I'm sure that is getting close to my maximal.. I have another question but I'll make another treat about it.
  • will a walk in clinic do? I don't have a primary doctor.
  • those bento boxes look really full. don't get get crushed andhow do you carry them?
  • sidescale: yep. I"m not going to be anal about it (exact labels) but close enough to give me a close enough. I hope I don't too hyperfocused on it. I"m at a 800 deficit when I was doing 1300.. I dont' know if I should take it easy or go do something. It's still early.
  • I strongly believe in calorie counting with the proper macro nutrients and with MFP its a lot easier.. however I would say that I beginning to forecast ahead what I will eat but I don't know if that will work long term. I have friends who will want to try going off modern grains so that will change what they eat and…
  • I should add I'm not just eating chicken. I eat a rice porriage with protien , normal salada fruit and snacks. I have a resting bmr or 2000 and been exercising between 300 an 600 daily. I roughly eat 1400 calories and don't get hungry. My attitude is a lot better where i hope i left a bout of depression behind.
  • For bodymedia products it tracks TDEE, but by subtracting exercise times you can arrive at BMR. my exercise is pretty focused and you can see it very clearly in the tracking. The other fitness band just estimates time.l I'm still working on understanding how MFP works with the adjustmjent factor in BMR. I keep track using…
  • @ lzepeda89, do you know what specific areas it is inaccurate? I don't think there are any cheap/consumer level products that measures HR that can doit long term. OR do you mean when you most need it during exercise it's said to be out?
  • From a technical standpoint if you are debating over the 30 dollar difference consider the following. In general. Having a hart rate monitor is most useful when actually exercising. The fitbit product line is not waterproof and likely the hr monitor will be innacurte t.and I have not heard people use is in water for this…
  • they have introduced a new model that builds on the bodymedia, made it a band and made it truely water proof for swimming. Too soon to tell if it will work as well as it is backordered.
  • where can you get a display for the up3? it looks like it has a heart rate monitor but how do youuse it when you are swimming? Also with bodymedia purchased, can you still buy it used and will jawbone still support it? I just activated my body media and I will not be happy if they decide to drop support (subscription)..…
  • if anyone is still reading this. I'm writing this on behalf a friend who doesn't have access to the boards. She has a mix of PCOS/Fibro and a bunch of other maladies that makes her weight difficult to manage. in terms of diet in her words "I changed my eating habits drastically. I am vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free. I…
