I also use a lot of egg whites. Since I have laying hens, I use whole eggs. I separate the whites out for me and add the yolks to my sons' omelettes. Or I feed them to the dog as a treat.

So do you pop it on the stove in oil? In the air popper? Use microwave popcorn? Do you top with any oil/butter in addition to the hot sauce or just use the hot sauce alone? I'm intrigued.

My experience is similar to yours. I've had 4 babies (plus one adopted). I never gained much excess weight during pregnancy and typically came out of the delivery room in my normal jeans. BUT then with each kid, I would gain twenty pounds or so during nursing. Nursing made me ravenous and tired. I craved sugar ALL the…

Just about everyone who has succeeded in this journey to healthier and better living has started where you are now. Look at the success stories; anything is possible. Doubts are natural. You've taken a huge step in simply thinking about where you are and where you would like to be. It shows hope. A lot of us with weight…

Great job on your incredible achievement! Thank you for sharing your story. I'm so sorry about the loss of your little son. Hugs.

I weigh every day, but only log lower weights. That way the trend on my chart is always down. Also, I find that limiting salt during shark week helps with the bloat. Still, I usually gain 2 pounds the day before, which drops over the first 3-4 days.

I'm also going camping, but will bring my scale to keep tabs every morning. I tend to let things slip on vacation and then "forget" to restart when I return home. I think it can help to be clear upfront. If someone invites me to visit, at the time I accept, I say something like, "Please don't go through any trouble preparing food. I'm following a special diet right now." Or "I will come over after lunch, so please don't prepare a meal." Another option is to offer to bring lunch or a…

This happens to me as well. Whenever I up my protein with foods I enjoy (nuts, full-fat dairy, etc.), my fat intake increases in tandem. This works for me because I find protein + fat satiating. Carbs just make me hungrier. All's well as long as you're meeting your calorie goal and eating in a sustainable way that you…

I love mac and cheese...and I can eat way too much of it. Lately I've been cooking a bag of of frozen broccoli (100 cals in the whole bag with 12 grams of fiber), draining off the water, then melting two deluxe American cheese slices on top. Total cals = 240 calories. While not as good as real mac and cheese, it satisfies…

I graduated with an MS. I celebrated after with a nice hike.

1. Hiking (in mountains or canyons) 2. Old school 90s step aerobics (love me some Gilad, Jane, and Kathy)

Reasons I exercise: 1) muscles are sexy 2) better sleep (I'm an insomniac) 3) migraine reduction 4) I like feeling strong 5) Add years to my life 6) Lessens stress/anxiety/depression Favorite exercise: Hiking! I love being outside in nature-- it improves my perspective (life is so much bigger than me and my problems). I…

You may want to invest in some custom orthotic insoles. My health insurance overs them because I have flat feet, but I would purchase them even if I had to pay out of pocket. Taken care of, they will outlast your shoes for many years and using them, you can transform any shoe into a perfect one. My current prescription…

If you're serious about changing your life and moving on from the control ED has over your life, you'll find and use the services of a therapist. A good therapist will help you identify the reasons underlying your ED and how to heal, which will then impact every aspect of your life, not just your ED. The key here is that…

I agree with this.

Step aerobics is my favorite type of exercise that can be performed in the living room. It's intense cardio and really sculpts your lower body. A step can be bought for pretty cheap on Amazon and stored in a closet or under the bed. There are a lot of dvds and online workouts with a lot of variability. I actually like the…

I do IF and OMAD on a flexible schedule. On days I work, I wait until noon to eat meal #1. I typically have a second meal around 4PM. Then I'm done. However some days I'll eat all my calories at that noon meal and that's it. Other times, when I know I'll be going out for a date night or a party, I'll fast all day and eat…

Wow, great job! I am 5'9" and 170 pounds. I had thought I needed to get down to 140/145, but maybe what I really need is to lift. It's hard because while I can do cardio at home, in order to lift, I need to find time to hit the gym. Also I find weights intimidating for some reason. Still, I love the idea of being strong…

Not a big deal. However check out the Skinny Girl Butter and Sea Salt popcorn. It's only 160 calories for the whole bag and it has real butter in it. It doesn't have a lot of junk ingredients either. One bag is filling and I eat it whenever I have a craving for something salty/fatty.
