  • Ran into a couple things last week causing me to discontinue by trainer's challenge. However I did get to strength and yoga classes yesterday. Will see if I can come up with my own daily challenge starting tomorrow (pretty sore today LOL). Weight is steadily coming down in small amounts which I prefer.
  • @Emkaygirl1 I'm waiting for my Fitbit to bite the dust as well. Not sure what I'll replace it with. @HappyDonkey75 My gym has a pool, I was thinking about just walking laps. Had my strength training yesterday and yoga class last night. Sore today as expected but feeling great.

  • Nov SW - 172 Nov 6th - 171 Nov 9th - 170.5 Nov 13th-172 I def ate way more than intended yesterday, having a little anxiety about a test tomorrow. Plus I was bored at work. Overslept 30 min this morning as well and I'm a little out of sorts. Should be fixable with some coffee shortly. I am up and dressed and taking that as…
  • Strength class yesterday then out to dinner with old friends last night. Only ordered some chicken pot stickers and no alcohol. Got in two round of the trainer challenge, will do two more today. Supposed to be Day 1 10 incline pushups, 20 squats and a 30 second plank then add 1/1/5 sec each day. Today will be 'day 3 and…
  • @rileysowner excellent news! I tried jogging a couple years ago but tweaked my left knee and popped an IT band. I keep getting C25K reminders on my phone so maybe I will check out IBX running, sounds interesting. Going to start my trainer's challenge right now and put it on my white board. I'll have to do five days of…
  • Nov SW - 172 Nov 6th - 171 Nov 9th - 170.5 Cleaned out a walking closet yesterday and put it back together today. Not a workout but it was movement and am tossing 3 bags of garbage. Bowling tonight then strength class tomorrow.
  • Still 170.5 and still have not done my challenge yet. But I did clean out two closets this week!
  • Nov SW - 172 Nov 6th - 171 My last meeting of the day turned into me giving a 90 minute demo to a group of 6 via video chat. It was fine but not what I was expecting. Stress level was up but I did not turn to food after. A step in the right direction. Today may be the last really nice day out until spring so I'll either…
  • Nov SW - 172 Nov 5th - 170.5 Had my weekly strength training class on lunch yesterday but yoga was cancelled last night. Can't say I wasn't glad, was not in the right head space. Today is better. Did a load a laundry before starting work and coffee is ready. Long day with a couple meetings on deck.
  • My trainer asked us all to join her in a daily challenge this month and I haven't done it yet!!!! I am currently being a slacker and need to break out of it. Getting on the scale right now to motivate me-ok, better than I expected at 170.5. Writing the challenge on my white board and putting a couple alarms on y phone to…
  • Have been with MFP for what feels like 20 years and looking for a more active group to join. Highest weight 205 (2015 post chemo) Lowest weight 162 (2002) Current weight 172 My ideal goal is 150 but honestly I'd be happy with 160.
  • I had a great month September and got complacent, made bad choices in October. So for me... November will be all about... The Basics: Staying under carbs Staying under calories Logging and measuring Getting in exercise/movement Keeping an eye on electrolyte levels (noticed a big difference in how I felt yesterday after…
  • @rileysowner Now you need a professional meat slicer :> Your leftovers would make a nice bone broth. Winterizing our camper this weekend and I'm making a list of all my other small projects that I need to get going on. Top of the list is reorganizing the furniture in my home office and guest room. So many little steps…
  • Hubby and I had a very active camping weekend with lots a walking and an unintentional climb up & down a mountain. Let's just say the trail map was very deceiving. Rain kind of spoiled the end but we packed up quickly during a brief dry stretch. I totally agree with not wanting to go out in the dark and cold. Rest is your…
  • @baconslave Oh my, you really have been hit hard all around. You're due for an upswing in all things. Sending you a big ole heaping of good vibes for healing you and your community. I just got done with a stressful work project that put my life on hold for 3 weeks. Ready to begin with a fresh start today and was expecting…
  • I didn't pick up a bug after all, it was food poisoning. I got sick a second time because cooked some more chicken (the original culprit). I thought it was a bug because hubby didn't get sick the first time. Oh but we both did the second time, yikes. Life is also returning to normal here!
  • Another spin class today, feeling pretty good about this month.
  • I wish I liked smoked meats, so many of my friends have smokers. In any event, I hope yours works well and you enjoy it! I won't have much to share for a few weeks, 10-12 hour days for a big work project. At least I won't get the urge to snack, I'll be too busy LOL.
  • Saturday we did a short hike, Sunday was a spin class and bowling. Today I had strength training. Hoping to sleep well tonight!
  • Hubby does not want to go to the gym today so suggesting a hike after grocery shopping. After being sick Wed, I'm still not back too 100% energy or desire to eat. Forcing myself to get in my protein though. At this point if my stomach hurts, it's probably just empty and I need to get mentally past that fear of getting sick…
  • Well my Vegas vacation was great but I picked up a bug while there and was ill Wed. Bad way to lose weight but I'll take the loss none the less. Still working back up to a normal appetite and activity. Weather is looking good here too this weekend. I may dismantle my veggie garden except for my tomatoes which are still…
  • Got in an average of 3-4 miles walking each day the past week on vacation. Today went back to my local gym after 4 months. 30 min on the treadmill and 37 on the elliptical. Food has been good so far this month. Will weigh in tomorrow. Starting to feel more like myself and really hoping the seasonal depression continues to…
  • Sept literally is step it up for me. -Walked Sat, Sun, Mon -10 mile bike ride yesterday -Strength on my own today since trainer was closed yesterday. Squats, overhead press and biceps curls.
  • If you have a foam roller, I highly recommend for your sore hip. No squats yesterday but did get some core done, busy day and my intentions slipped away. Putting a big sticky note on my office door to do those squats at lunch.
  • Mine rented a house with some friends, helped that I knew the owner. I still didn't like the condition of the house but they were all safe. Paving appears complete but I will test it out this afternoon on some errands :)
  • My oldest moved out at 19, I get that feeling. After our kids got married I instituted family dinner night so I could see them on a regular basis. My neighborhood is getting paved this week after 30 years 🥳 no more living on Pot Hole Lane.
