One of the items I noticed in your diary was "Pane Con Olio, 183 g 553" I believe that is bread and butter. I hope it is REAL BUTTER or OLIVE OIL. Try chopping up some cauliflower up and mixing it with some cheese and baking or broiling it. Get it a little crusty and then pour some butter or oil on it.

edit: great! glad you are willing to try. I looked at your diary. Because of your previous extensive weight, you probably are insulin resistant. Try a low carb diet. Change your macros to 50% fat, 25% protein and 25% carbs or even less carbs. For breakfast, don't eat ANY carbs. I bet you won't be obsessing about food all…

You've received excellent responses. Two other things though. When I drink, it's usually late at night. Unless you are dancing off the "energy" consumed as alcohol, then when you pass out or sleep, the alcohol is converted to fat. You're better off drinking during the day or dancing your butt off literally. The other…

What are you eating for breakfast? If you are eating cereal or carbs, you are starting a blood sugar cycle of hunger cravings every two hours. You really want to eat breakfast every morning but it should be eggs, meat, protein and fat. Try eating no carbs for breakfast and see how the rest of the day is.

How do you know it is going to repeat every weekend? Do you mean, this has happened every weekend in the past and you want to know how to stop it from happening in future weekends? In addition to trigger foods and carb addiction, I suspect your difficulty could also be sleep related. I NEVER felt full. I didn't understand…

As you start eating better and exercising, the depression will lighten up. Try quitting sugar and exercise hard for one minute before eating anything.

I wish I had kept the article but YES there are things you can do in 3 days. No, you're not going to lose a bunch of weight or gain a bunch of tone but food makes your body fluctuate in bloat. TODAY: Eat as much natural vegetable fiber as you can - broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower. Tomorrow: Don't eat gassy fiber vegetables…

You don't. If you have enough fat on your body and eat enough food to get your daily nutrients, don't eat your exercise calories back. However, if you are burning 2000 extra calories a day working out hard, you need to up your protein and eat enough fat or carbs to keep you from starving. Most people will suggest only…

OP - Many have said if you were obese and had a lot to lose this is possible but you are close to an ideal weight so it is much harder in your time frame. However, I'm surprised everyone is touting "calorie in - calorie out" theory which isn't true. Your body doesn't know math. Clinical studies show metabolic advantages…

Most antidepressants cause weight gain. Plus, once you get on it, you will have more side effects trying to get off of it. Don't do it! Yes, try to quit smoking. Use food as medicine. I just heard on Dr. Oz that red pepper flakes give you more of a serotonin boost than pasta or other carb foods. Exercise absolutely boosts…

Great job on the weight loss. I got fat because my dad owned a bar. When he came home at 2 a.m., I'd wake up and have dinner with him. I just completed a sleep study on weight loss. The results won't be publish for a while but it's based on night owls having more trouble with weight.

I'm a night owl who tries not to eat before going to bed.

That is suppose to be .8 grams of protein per kilogram of weight (or 0.37 grams per pound) for a non-athlete. For someone who is trying to build some muscle or doing extensive exercise that can go to 1.2 grams of protein per kilogram of weight. When it comes to the professional body builder, doing 1 gram of protein per…

Have you had a colonoscopy and endoscopy? What about stool tests? [/quote] I had an MRI immediately and a barium X-ray two weeks later. The 2" swollen intestine was completely normal for the 4-hour long X-ray procedure. I also had genetic testing done for Crohn's. Based on last time, it's temporary. I eat cheese all the…

After a couple weeks last time I was slowly able to eat normally again. It's almost like having the flu. What kills me is I'm gaining weight at insufficient calorie levels probably because of stress and lack of a good night's sleep. Basically I'm on an involuntary cleanse. I am trying to get my vitamins and nutrients from…

Thank you everyone for your help. I haven't even eaten 500 calories today and its 8:00 pm. Just thinking about food makes me run to the bathroom.

Thanks, I'll Google all those terms. I tell you, after the first time, I ate foods I haven't eaten in 10 years, like white rice and white bread. This time I ate bananas and that got my sugar cravings back in gear. I'm glad to hear the eggs worked for you. I sure haven't been getting enough protein lately.

Here is the person who can help you. Most low-carb does include animal products. In order to get into Ketosis, you need even fewer carbs than you are getting. It's not impossible but you will want to reduce fruit except for avocado and up those nuts. If you get into Ketosis, the hunger goes away rather quickly and the…

Yeah, I had to give up the Fiber One bars. I make all my own food. I just wonder if the fermentation of tofu along with the active ingredient in yogurt causes a chemical reaction.

Protein is necessary for muscles. Fat and/or Carbs are necessary for energy. If you aren't getting enough protein, you will not get a flat stomach. The only way to get a flat stomach is by building your abdominal muscles. If you are 125 pounds and sedentary, you need 50 grams of protein. If you are 200 pounds and active,…

Wow!!! What is LBM? I weigh myself every morning. One morning I woke up 2 hours early and weighted myself. I was able to get back to sleep and when I weight myself a second time I had lost 2 pounds in 2 hours. Last night my husband got overseas phone calls all night. I woke up 2 pounds heavier than yesterday. I anticipate…

From Psychology Today: "Relapse is now seen as the rule rather than the exception in addiction recovery. And it is no longer viewed as a catastrophe but as an opportunity for learning more and better strategies for overcoming urges and for identifying the moods and situations that are likely to be difficult. What is…

Atkin's has been vindicated - FINALLY!!! The ADA seems to have finally reversed itself on low-carbohydrate diets. http://www.examiner.com/article/study-low-carb-diet-beats-low-fat-diet-for-reducing-diabetic-inflammation…

You look healthier and happier. Some pictures are just not representative of reality. In my profile before and after pictures, these are by no means my highest and lowest weights. I think I was just extra bloated and extra dehydrated and a bad photographer verses a good photographer. However, the necklace is the same and…

Didn't you lose weight getting off of birth control? Try chewing on carrots and/or celery. You might want to retrain your oral fixation.

Buy some inserts for your shoes to help extend use. I think your issue could be the heat and electrolytes. Whenever I get calf pain, I look at my nutrition. If you buy Lite Salt it is about 50/50 sodium and potassium. Last week I was very sick and couldn't keep anything inside me. I made some soup with mostly broth, some…

You should lose weight from your belly first and your butt last. Water retention will change measurements. If you are mostly interested in losing inches than concentrate on eating well and exercising and forget about the scale.

I weigh myself every morning. On morning I woke up unusually early, weighed myself and then went back to bed. Two hours later I got up again and lost 2 pounds in 2 hours. A good night's sleep is vital to weight loss. A day or two before my period my weight goes up and by the end it's back down.

Actually, my goal is just to go from obese to overweight. I am still 50+ pounds over my ideal weight which I have no intention of getting to. My highest weight was 37 pounds more than now. But I did 10 pounds in a couple months and stayed that for a year, then lost another 10 and again kept most of it off for a year before…

I changed my settings and can meet my protein goals no problem without exercise. However, when the goals are increased because of exercise, I really don't know how much protein I should be eating, especially if I'm not eating the calorie goal that MFP sets with large doses of exercise.
