  • Hi there, I'm on Day 13 of my Whole30 and have slightly modified it as I am pescetarian (not comparable to vegan, but closer?). I allow myself peanut butter and tofu, both forbidden on the Whole30, just a couple of times a week. And a couple vodka/sodas on Saturdays but that is a different story. :) Whole30 was the right…
  • Good idea - thank you! Would not want them to go to waste.
  • Just learned that the 1 large banana in my AM green smoothie is self-sabotage... will be using only 1/2 a banana until the last couple are gone and then not buying again. Darn it!
  • Be careful. I had no idea about the effects of a LC diet and after 6 days I ended up so dizzy about to pass out on the bathroom floor and I couldn't even get up to call my boyfriend to help me. Had to wait until he found me there and brought me an ice pack and fluids! I made veggie broth from a bouillon cube, drank it…
  • This looks delicious, looking it up now!!
  • I don't eat meat (I do occasionally eat seafood), so doing LC is more complicated for me. I'm on the Whole30 right now as well so cannot have dairy products. I made these Whole30 compliant fish "tacos" the other night and they are going to be a new staple to get me through this. Large tilapia fillet pan fried in EVOO with…
  • I also do vodka and soda, with a generous squeeze of a couple lime wedges. Perfect for summer.
  • I don't have an exact measurement but it's a small dinner spoonful (not heaping). A little goes a long way, and as chia seeds expand many times their original size inside your gut, you need to drink plenty of water with it. But works gently and like a charm! Also has great omega-3 content!
  • Probiotics and chia seeds. Seriously, chia seeds are amazing and it will happen within 2 hours of eating them. I put them in my AM green drink but I know some people make "chia seed pudding" and such. I go at least once a day now on LC diet!
  • I started on the 1st as well! So far my only temptation has been cheese... but I hear the craving fades. Hopefully that's true!
  • I'm on Day 3 of a slightly modified Whole30 - I don't eat meat, so I am allowing a little bit of peanut butter and tofu (though honestly, I have not had either yet). I'm also giving myself 1 day a week to have a vodka soda because otherwise I will go crazy. :) So far, so good... I even behaved at a wine and cheese party…
  • This was going to be my suggestion! I've been pescetarian for 14 years, and have done several rounds of LC dieting without issue. I still only eat seafood 2-3 times per week, not every day, because eating any animal product too much just makes me feel... guilty and weird and like, excessive. I think you should listen to…
  • I did the 30DS last year and started my second round yesterday. The arm exercises are just as painful as I remembered, but other than that I am ready to go and feel great!
  • Started Level 3 last night after skipping about 4 days of Level 2... I slacked off majorly and was beginning to feel it. Feels good to be back on track. Level 3 is no joke, lots of high jumps and planks, but I am relieved by the reduction in hand weight-related arm strength exercises. Those are always the worst for me and…
  • I fell off the wagon yesterday. I'm a little sick and got braces put on my teeth yesterday morning so I was just feeling crummy in general. Will be back on it tonight. In total I have skipped 1 day of Level 1 and now 2 days of Level 2. The fact that I was feeling discouraged earlier this week didn't help, nor does the fact…
  • I have been MIA recently but last night was Day 5 of Level 2, Day 15/30. I actually skipped 2 days -- Saturday and Monday -- but backed my end date up by 1 to account for Saturday and am just cutting my losses with Monday. It was a crazy weekend. However my end date is now the day before I leave for a trip, so I really…
  • I thought the same thing at the beginning of the Level 2! I was like, okay, I think I can handle this... and then... NOPE! haha. I feel like in Level 1, the circuits went hardest to easiest, and it's the opposite for Level 2... starts out easier and then gets harder. I'm sure this is different for everyone though since we…
  • Huge congrats! That's amazing!! What are you going to do now? :)
  • Incredible!! I can't wait to be where you are. Just did my first day of Level 2. It was rough but I got through the whole video without quitting -- though I did have to take a few breaks, which is something I didn't have to do in Level 1. I'm a little discouraged, but hopeful. But those V-shaped arm things are BRUTAL… eye…
  • How was it?! I start Level 2 tonight too!
  • I have a good bit of trouble with the side lunges too, but I think it's due more to my inability to coordinate my arm/leg movements… I'm sure I look like a complete spaz (same issue with jump rope movement, I feel like I'm just flailing around…). I have a lot of trouble with the pushups too. Just did Day 9 Level 1 and I…
  • Thank you! I think that's what I needed to hear -- that I'd be prepared for it. I'm OK with being challenged, obviously that's what it's all about. :) Just wanted to know I wouldn't be way out of my league!
  • Awesome! That sounds about how Level 1 went for me, by Day 4 I felt a lot more confident and strong. This should be interesting...!
  • Day 8 Level 1 tonight... I watched the Level 2 video last night and it scared the crap outta me!! Can someone tell me how difficult the transition from Level 1 to Level 2 was for them and how long it took you to get comfortable with Level 2? I feel like I got spoiled with Level 1.
  • Day 4/Level 1 completed yesterday and it was a TON easier than Days 1 and 2! I did not expect to see such an improvement so soon. Still sore but nowhere near as bad as the first couple of days. Let's hope I feel the same tonight when I complete Day 5. :) I think it helps that the things which are most difficult for me…
  • Today will be Day 3 / Level 1 for me... it's rough, but the fact that it's only 20 minutes keeps me going. The worst part for me is the weights/arm exercises and the easiest part for me is the abs... but I assume this is very different for everyone!
  • I read on another site (I think it was Pinterest perhaps) that someone did the workouts twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Is that part of the program, or just their variation of the 30 Day Shred? I will be beginning this late next month and want to make sure I'm doing it properly to maximize results.
