  • I bought a SPORTLINE (no chest strap) and was very disappointed. Contacted the company by e-mail and was told that it is basically a glorified pedometer so it will not accurately record calorie burn for workouts that don't involve a constant walking/running motion....I can't remember what "style" I had....gave it away. But…
  • My daughter and I started INSANITY a few months back....our feet were killing us from wearing our regular "sneakers". We immediately went out and purchased NIKE Frees....Crosstrainer type sneaker. Gives alot of stability for side-to-side. We both love them.....and they are very light weight!
  • You definitely need a HRM with a chest strap...I have a Polar FT 7. I first purchased a HRM that was just a watch by Sportline....it was very deceiving...it was more of a pedometer...I burned more calories folding laundry and running back and forth to bedrooms to put it away (according to the HRM) than I did in my hour…
  • I have several of Leslie's videos but FOUR FAST MILES is my go-to one! about 45 minutes in length...great workout. I bought mine at Walmart...
  • Make sure you keep hydrated!
  • Just purchased a Polar FT7 with chest strap....love it!
  • Good job! Keep it up.....and keep rockin' them guns! :-)
  • My "aha" moment was yogurt...especially the ones labeled ORGANIC & low-fat (has to be healthy right?) But the sugar content!!!! Oh MY!!!! Have made the switch to CHOBANI'S plain no-fat Greek yogurt.....still "acquiring" a taste for it....but since I mix it with my Kashi GoLean and frozen wild blueberries....it isn't too…
  • Make sure that you eat your net calorie totals everyday....meet those calorie goals with healthy choices and you will see a difference.
  • I don't on here...though because of it I don't always appear to have drank enough. I know that WW never allowed you to count coffee/tea/etc until a year or so ago they changed that rule and you can no count it. Water is better but fluid is fluid,.....we even get alot of "hydration" from our fruits and veggies.
  • Oatmeal with added fruit (ie. blueberries, craisins, banana plus 1/8 -1/4 cup chopped walnuts) = very filling. Kashi GoLean cereal (1 cup) mixed with 1 cup of Greek non-fat yogurt and add fruit...will hold you for a long time.
  • INSANITY is an intense BEACH BODY workout.....extreme.
  • Hi...I'm 43 years old and just completed the INSANITY 60 day challenge last Saturday...(started round 2 ....it does make you INSANE:-) I started the program at 160....currently 155. Didn't see the results in weight that I would have hoped for...but lost inches and the toning is wonderful. I did not follow the food…
  • I have Skeecher Shape-ups (the original). I agree that they help with posture...I "feel" the back of my thighs....and they are very very comfortable. But I don't believe they do anything to "enhance" your walking workout.
  • Which model SPORTLINE do you have? I just purchased the 925 ....and it registered 70 calories burned after a killer INSANITY workout?????
  • I just purchased the SPORTLINE 925 WOMENS HRM this past weekend...It was my first HRM. I was loving the thought of no chest strap.....I did a 45 Minute INSANITY workout ....this is my second time through so I can keep up pretty good....calories burn calculated .....70!!!! Wrote to SPORTLINE and their response was that my…
  • Way to go .... stay motivated! I work/ed with youth @ our church....You are doing a great thing there too! Some of us ladies in my church are doing a study called MADE TO CRAVE....good "food for thought". It deals alot with emotional eating to fill a void and self control.....you might find some good advice there. (We did…
  • My hubby told me a short time ago that he thanks God for me each day and he also thanks God that he "likes" me! Love is soo much sweeter when you are "in-like" too :-)
  • Hey D! I add "ingredients" too...doesn't take too long. Then I "found" the recipe option and entered my smoothie into that so now I only have to click on my "smoothie"...Have fun!
