Definitely go take measurements! It's totally worth it.
-
Are you tracking your measurements? I'm in the recovery week and just took mine today. I'm down a combined 8 inches from arms, thighs, calves, waist, hips and chest. Also down 2% body fat. I've only lost two pounds. I'm happy with the results so far, plus I still have an entire month ahead of me. :)

I thought I was 7.5% bigger. Not too much of a difference but still a bit of a surprise!

This is fantastic. I told my girlfriend about it and now whenever Ariel gets focused on she yells, "Go back to the ocean Ariel, you shouldn't even have legs!"

If you're eating paleo there's a ton of recipes out there that will cater to your diet. :3 I eat paleo and I try to work in one new recipe a week to see how I like it. Last week was turkey meatloaf (which was amazing) and tonight is Mexican chicken in the crock pot. I've been finding my recipes on blogs, or by searching…

My girlfriend and I eat paleo, so no grain or dairy...when I packed her lunch for today it looked like this: Leftover beef stew Chicken drumsticks Sauteed asparagus Steamed broccoli Sweet potato hash 4 hard boiled eggs Ants on a log (Celery with sun nut butter and raisins. Almond butter works too, but sun nut butter was…

Red meat has gone up in price, so if you eat it watch your spending on it.

Finished the entire Insanity warm up without stopping or pausing to catch a breath. (It's harder than it sounds!)

Technically you can do anything you want. But doubling up on Insanity workouts is not really advisable... If you want to do something in the evenings, go for something with low impact or no impact, like swimming. But really, your body needs a break. If you overwork it you're pushing for an injury, and then you won't be…

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. :)

I'm sorry to hear your son had cancer too. I've heard the weight issues can go either way. For me, I had such a severe nausea reaction to my chemo medicine that I would literally eat nothing but one Ensure a day and as much water as I could keep down for two and a half weeks at a time. This might be TMI but I was throwing…

I start week 4 tomorrow! I can already see a difference in the mirror, so I'm pretty pleased with things so far. Not looking forward to month 2 though. Month 1 is hard enough for me as it is, haha.

If you're gluten free and dairy free, look into paleo recipes. =) There's a ton of delicious ones out there. My girlfriend and I eat paleo so I know how tricky it can be when you're not sure where to look. But a few Google searches and you should be good!

Thanks everyone. :) Vardaeml -- I have a color run planned, but not until October. Jessie -- Thanks! The follow up tests can be pretty nerve wracking, but for the most part I should be in the clear. They removed the offending bone that caused all of the issues in the first place, so chances of it popping back up are pretty…

Week 8 Day 1. Instead of pushing through my CD until I felt like stopping like I did last week, I decided to pick up my pace today and maintain it. So the 32 minute run I did last week I finished in 28 minutes today.

Day 23 done
-
Week 7 Day 2. Once again didn't feel like stopping when the 25 minute run was over, so I went an extra 10 minutes. Feels great. :)
-
Just finished Week 7 Day 1. I feel amazing. When my 25 minutes were up, I realized I didn't want to stop running. So I didn't. Then my cool down timer went off, letting me know another five minutes had passed. I still didn't feel like stopping. So I didn't. ...then two minutes later I hit the end of the road. I still…

Did Week 6 Day 2 again today. Kept the same pace as before. Got through it just fine. Only difference was I wasn't sick this time. :)
-
I know it seems crazy but it's actually not that bad! Just make sure to go slow and you should be able to get though it just fine. I was worried about it too (it was just last week for me) but I surprised myself when I was able to finish it.
-
Woke up this morning not feeling too great...but thought I'd give it a try anyway. Today was Week 6 Day 2. I made it through the first ten minute run session fine, the 3 minute walk fine...but when I hit that second ten minute run, about 5 minutes in my body told me that if I didn't start walking immediately I was going to…

Finished Week 6 Day 1. Felt harder to me than Week 5 Day 3, but I'm pretty sure it's because I had picked up my pace a bit.
-
That's fantastic! Great job!

Starting today!

A friend who is starting c25k next week and I are going to do a Color Me Rad run in October. But my girlfriend and I might do the Color Run in June. I'm pretty excited for both.
-
Finished week 5 day 3!! Thought I was going to die at one point so I checked my phone to see how long I had left and realized I'd already run for 16 minutes. Realized I could totally finish this and knocked it out. I feel awesome and I'm super proud of myself.

Day ten done!
-
Are you able to go early in the morning when it's not warm yet?
-
W5D1 today. It was pouring rain, but it was oddly nice to run in. Although when I got home I spent some time wringing my hoodie out into the sink. Looking forward to the rest of this week.

I'm in.
