  • Protein/Carbs/Fat. I try to go over on protein and stay under on carbs, and I only have fat on there because I feel like I'm supposed to. I'm change my last category between sodium/fiber/sugar/potassium, until I've improved my eating habits concerning that macro, then I move on to a different one.
  • I have a sewing pattern for an Adipose plush tucked away somewhere. I think I'll make one for myself when I reach a weight loss goal!
  • I've declared the Adipose to be my mascot on my weight loss journey! I have some art of them on my weight ticker, even. I won't be putting the ticker in my signature until there's a bigger number on there, but it's still viewable on my profile! I'm definitely a big fan of Doctor Who. ^_^
  • I usually do Zumba/dance workouts, and many, many Black Eyed Peas songs have a good beat. They're not usually my style, but I cannot deny that their music is excellent for workouts.
  • I have over 150 pounds to lose and would love to have some new friends with similar goals. Anyone is more than welcome to add me!
  • I get really excited about preparing and eating meals now, because it isn't just mindlessly putting food in my face anymore. I have to actually think out my meals and calculate portions and calories, and it's always freaking AWESOME when I really can put those chocolate chips in my oatmeal, and that extra cheese in my…
  • I'm just a smidge above your friend's weight, and have had good luck with Zumba videos found on Youtube. I don't do most of the leg movements because it's hard on my knees, but instead go above and beyond on any hip/stomach/arm movements, and try to incorporate any leg movements that are comfortable. I always want my…
  • I still live at home with my mother, older brother, and my fiance. We live in a very small area and finding a job has been a serious headache. -__- My fiance and I just finished up at culinary school and returned to my home a few months ago, and because my mom has some health issues, we're expected to cook nearly every…
  • I took it just after my first session of Zumba! It's to remind me that I'm on the right track, and I was really proud of that perspiration glow, haha.
  • I had Italian Spinach Sausage pie tonight! I found the recipe in the Taste of Home magazine, so it's also on their website here: http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/italian-spinach-sausage-pie It says that it is 692 calories a slice, but I substitute the ricotta with light sour cream, and have also found that the filling is…
  • I don't have any big Christmas dinner to worry about, just the loads of cookies and candy I was given as gifts. (I only started counting calories 2 weeks ago, so people had already bought me loads of sweets.) I'm actually making my meal calories a bit lower than usual so I can indulge in all those cookie and candies today.…
  • I personally don't feel like sifting through 50+ items in the database just to add 30 calories of onion or broccoli or mushrooms, so I only add foods that have a calorie count of about 80 or higher. When my progress losing weight starts slowing down, I'll start really documenting everything carefully, but right now it's…
  • Hi! I sent you a friend request! I have over 100 pounds to lose, and am looking for people with similar goals! I'm just starting out here too. :)
  • It's been non-stop surprises for me! All the foods I'm trying to eat more of to be healthy have shockingly high calorie counts, like fruits and nuts. Potatoes! 100 calories for one dinky potato, are you serious? Eggs, too. About 60 of a large egg's 78 calories are all in the yolk. I was pleasantly surprised with tuna,…
  • Hello! I'm Stefani, 24, and engaged! I just joined the site and have a very, very large amount of weight to lose, so I'm looking for friends to lend support as well! I've tried losing weight on my own before, and I think the most I accomplished was a 12 pound loss. That has long since been buried under all my new weight.…
  • Oh wow. I really, really enjoyed finding this thread. I just joined the site this week, and had yet to comment anywhere, but seeing goal weights so similar to my own is really reassuring. I'm 5'10", and my goal weight is about 170. To be smack-dab in the middle of the "healthy" BMI range, I would need to get down 151, but…
