The Golden Girls and Seinfeld are my favorite shows, period. :)

I'm a bigger gal, and I use the gym at my university ( and you probably know how college guys can be). I just put in my headphones and do my workout, ignoring everyone around me. Even if they're thinking whatever you're afraid of them thinking, they're not going to say anything. And if they do, you won't hear them because…

This is my own experience, and it could be a fluke, but I weigh myself every day. I notice that I am more likely to have lost a little weight if I drank a green tea the day before than if I didn't. I'm in no way an expert, that's just a pattern I've noticed with myself. Even if it doesn't have any metabolic benefits, green…

I'm a senior college student in WV, also leaving next December! Been on MFP for two years. Feel free to add me. :)

What she said. It's all about attitude!

I usually have a bit of nonfat yogurt as a snack if I need to bump my calories up over 1200. I wouldn't worry too much about being over on protein - worry about your fats and your sodium. That said, welcome to the site! It's a great place to lose weight. Especially if you've got some friends to talk to on here and post…

I agree with the person above me. Also, consider this: According to your ticker, you have lost 46 pounds. That's great! The thing is, as you lose weight, your body becomes lighter and you don't get as much weight resistance. Basically, you don't have to burn as much energy to propel yourself, and your exercises will burn…

I hope so, too! And I do hope he finds the time to start exercising. :)

I tend to find that love comes before attraction. I'm not saying attraction isn't important; what I am saying is that when you begin to really, truly love someone, you begin to love the way they look because that is who they are. Even though my boyfriend is in good shape and I am not (yet), he has said that he finds me…

I'm mostly the same. The only difference is that I tend to "talk" more online because I communicate better in writing than I do verbally. Plus, I am an introvert, and online interactions with people don't register as overstimulating to my brain for some reason.

Cute haircut!

Mine is my username for other sites spelled backwards. I upload artwork and post on forums under that name, and I don't want anyone googling me and finding my weight loss stuff. So I just put it in backwards. :)

I'm in! Start weight - 189 lbs Goal weight - 175 lbs

Marrying my high school sweetheart in two years. We were together for about a year, broke up for four years, grew into the people we needed to be, and got back together a year ago this coming Saturday. :) Even though we're totally meant to be together, the long breakup gave us time to sort out the things that we didn't…

You might have to work a little bit harder than some of us youngsters (though admittedly, not me.. my metabolism is already pretty much zero), but you can do it! My mom lost a BUNCH of weight in her mid-40's.

Had this problem with my ex when I started losing. We were both very overweight, and I started exercising and I wanted him to stop playing WoW and eating Cheetos long enough to take walks with me. He wouldn't do it. We broke up for other reasons, and now I'm with a guy who is in good shape, supports me all the way, and has…

I get Drew Barrymore quite often, especially from the side.

Hi, I'm a good bit younger than you, but I log pretty much every day, and I have a pretty good idea of how this all works. Feel free to add me (anyone else can, too!)

I plateaued MAJORLY after losing 15 pounds. I was stuck at 199 for months. I just kept working at it, and eventually I shed another ten pounds. And now I'm stuck at 189, haha. Seems like every 10-15 pounds, my body stops for a little bit.

I drink about two cups for lunch every day. It really gives me a boost!

Also, another note: I am not a morning person, either. I find that taking a nice walk outside at around sunset for about an hour really relieves stress, which is a killer for weight loss. Give it a try. :)

Seriously, don't give up. Here's the way I look at it: Even if I don't lose the weight I want, exercise is good for my body. There is no way around that. And it definitely doesn't hurt to keep doing it, even if you're not losing right now. Keep plugging away at it, and try to modify your diet a bit to see what makes you…

I agree with these folks - check your inches! Also, you may want to be aware of your time of the month... My weight fluctuates wildly around that time, usually from a day or two before up until a day or two after it's gone. I can gain 4 pounds overnight during that time of the month, but it always goes away after it's all…

Partially genetics, partially growing up in West Virginia (one of the highest obesity rates in the country), partially my parents not caring about portion sizes and letting me eat whatever junk I wanted. And now their negligence and my ignorance during my childhood are making me pay.

I love this site. I've lost 25 pounds so far thanks to it. :) You'll do great!

I'm also 23, I've lost 25 and I have at least 50 more I have to lose to be healthy. :) Let's do this!

I cheat/rest every Saturday, but I stick below "Maintenance" (2000) calories, but eat way more than my 1200 calorie limit. I've found that I lose weight better if I allow for a cheat/rest day rather than going hard every single day.

Eat some almonds. Low in calories, and the fat they contain is the "good" kind. :) If that doesn't help, have your blood sugar checked. You may have an underlying problem (diabetes or other disease) that you don't know about. Hope you feel better!

23. Go right ahead and add. :)

Thanks for the well-wishes, everyone. I certainly hope it's at least mildly addictive. I tend to lose interest in things easily. But hopefully not this!
