  • These have been fun to read. Here are a few of mine: On Greenbeans: Ketchup On Baked Potatoes: Steak Sauce & Pepper In a bowl: Peanut Butter mixed with maple syrup At the movies: Skittles in the popcorn The Sandwich: Pickles, Chips, & Mustard on White Bread. When no one is looking: Lemon wedges pressed in sugar. (No, I…
  • Hii :) Had VSG 12/20/17. 56lbs down since then. Would love to have new friends here who have had also had wls- please feel free to friend me as well :)
  • I have 50 to lose too. Twice :) I'll send you a request and welcome friends as well. I'm just re-starting.
  • Also diagnosed apx 10 years ago. I went to many doctors trying to get diagnosed with anything else, because FM seems so miserable and hopeless! Eating very clean helps tremendously (unfortunately, I fall off the wagon there alot. A few years ago, I saw a DO who recommended elevating Vit D levels. This was the absolute…
  • I agree with everyone here that the whole breakfast thing is a myth. If you're up late and you're having your last meals late, you might not really need breakfast to keep you going. I have my last meal around 6PM, so by 8AM, I'm hungry. I never skip it :O
  • I would and I will :) I thought Chris' post was brilliant - I've been trying to figure out an easy way to measure recipe portions more accurately. I think that method really simplifies it. Glad I peeked into this post. Thanks! (and GL to you, OP! You can do this :) )
  • I meal plan a week in advance and shop on Saturday morning- less likely to go the whole weekend being lazy and letting McD's and Domino's do my cooking! Friday evening is for splurging though. :)
  • the shots are a definite commitment. I've only just restarted - but, I know from previous experience I get quite a bit of relief after about 6 months. I've never followed through with a full plan, which can take anywhere from 2-5 years! Seems like a long time, but it's nothing really considering all the years you'll be…
  • I definitely gained weight with Zyrtec. I still take it daily though, along with 3 other (and sometimes 4!) meds to 'control allergies' - basically keeps them from killing me, I think. I had to quit taking all of the meds for a few days recently for some testing and I noticed when I was off, my head was much clearer and I…
  • I've had this. A lot. I don't work out (though I should) and I eat plenty of fat/calories (too much, to be sure). I was advised it was due to PCOS when I was diagnosed with that last year. I was put on Yasmin to resolve it. So far, so good. I like the Yasmin quite a lot, as it also helps with water retention, which I also…
  • I do weigh and I probably shouldn't, as it discourages me! I always gain a bit and lose it all within a few days. And I know this. But hormones make me weep over it and kick walls anyway. AND. I don't just get hungry. I get ravenous. For carby, nutrionless JUNK. Like french fries. And a whole chocolate cake! No advice…
  • Couch to 5k sounds like a crazy idea and my crazy mind is in whole-hearted agreement that I should jump on board and do it too! (My body is in disagreement and will take some convincing, but I can be pretty persuasive.) I'll add you. ;)
  • Whoop! Me too! I was all 'Hell yeahhhh! I'm in!' How about Big *kitten* with a tendency towards the occasional Bad Assery, but a full time supply of AssHattery?
