Ok I am type 2 diabetic since Feb. of this year. Here's what worked for me 1) eat lower carb and whole grain (so 1 piece of bread in a lunch sandwich, 1 TBP of rice if it is being served, measure out my oatmeal, etc.) 2) portion control and counting calories 3) walk 5/7 days at least 1/2 hour a time. A fitness tracker (the…

*Non scale victory And mine is yoga related. I have been doing a pose 'Legs up the wall" all summer and now my heels can touch during downward dog. Yoga classes started again on Mon. Not only did my friends comment on the smaller me, I had more flexible hamstrings.

Rocked the dress I wore at a wedding Sat. Many people I haven't seen for awhile and lots of compliments.. It felt great.

Ha to the fingers around wrist. One thumb and finger meet - so I am medium boned. One thumb and finger do not meet so I am large boned. I know I have large ships and shoulders. I was not heavy-actually on the too skinny side until mid forties.

crutch walking as an exercise burns a lot of calories. Can you go for walks?

Both are better than not running. Treadmill can be anytime, never gets dark, unlikely to be mugged etc, can be ok with seasonal allergies Outside you can do almost anywhere, is better mentallt/spiritually, is harder physciaclly due to uneven ground etc. The important thing is to run!

If you do it again swap your tires out for smoother ones. First time I did that I was amazed by the less effort required.

I was able to share some clothes with a friend on a tight budget. Friend A and I swapped out some clothes. I gave her my "too big" clothes and she gave me a bag full of "too small" which I then shared with Friend B. All 3 of us ended up with new to us stuff.

Peanut butter and banana sandwiches on whole wheat (brown) bread

NSV is non-scale victory the things that show our progress as we become healthier and fitter Our journey is about more than just the numbers on the scale

slowing your weightloss to 1lb a week is ok. Yes it will take you longer but losing 4 lbs a month is still mighty good progress. Be patient the weight is continuing to decrease.

Legs up the wall. It's a yoga move . I do it most nights. I can feel the muscles stretching out. Then I wait and can actually feel the fascia releasing too. Try 10 minutes 2x a day,

It happened again. A co worker saw me after 8 weeks "Love your hair" REALLY ??!!It was messy and uncombed but she couldn't see the real reason I look so much better. It's the weightloss. It shows in the face and body.

You must be pregnant.

as everyone else says. Hike as often as possible-with boots and a pack with stuff in it. Do stairs if you have no hills easy to access and walk 5 days a week, for 30-60 minutes.
-
tru upping your exercise as doing the same ones as you did before now burn less calories because you are smaller
-
Only eat back about 1/2 of your exercise calories . That is what worked for me.
-
Oh come on. YOU are the one who said you wanted to lose weight. Your spouse is actually being supportive!

My exercise is stuff that I enjoy. Sometimes with friends sometimes alone. Walking, biking, paddling-they all bring me joy as well as helping with the weight loss. I'm not super focused on the food but I do pay attention to it. Seems to work for me.

I have noticed that I do my close by walking routes much quicker now. I'm both fitter and lighter. It feels great doesn't it!

I'd stay at the gym. I'd politely say to boss-I do a better update after I check the file. What's a good time to stop by your office with that info? Or a sorry my mind isn't on that right now. When's a good time for an update? Your boss will get the message.

Yopu can do a MS bike ride on almost any bike. I have done many (often with my kids and sometimes my Dad). It is easiest if you have smoother tires. Easiest on road bike. Doable on a hybrid-just swap on tires for smoother ones. I prefer to do it on my road bike with my clip in shoes. Can do it on my 21 year old bike with…

Use sunscreen before. Don't bring it with you. I don't put it on forehead as when you sweat it drips in eyes. Sunglasses as well as hat. Water as you said and maybe sport beans or a package of sesame snacks for a snack. Have fun!

Yes try wearing a heart rate monitor while skating

Google lacing shoes or ask at a running shoe store-you want loose in toe box but then snug over top of foot. Quite doable. Maybe a gait analysis with a physio therapist is in order.
-
Bruising at the top of foot would suggest the shoes are laced too tight.
-
Change your exercise. Now you are lighter you burn less calories doing the things you did before so do something different. Walk further, add some stairs, etc.
-
Eat less and move more Keep to the calories MFP gives you. Sounds easy but it's not. It is worth it and I have lost 44 lbs.

I am sewing myself a pair of stretchy shorts. I dug out the multi size pattern i used last time. Wow. There's the visula for me. I can see how my size has shrunk as I cut out on new smaller line!

start tracking what you are eating.
