The way your clothes fir is subjective. Take measurements with a tape measure. Measure every 2 weeks or so. If your weight continues to go down your measurements will change.

It's been my main form of exercise (I add in some biking and swimming and yoga). 45 lbs down since Feb. I now walk faster and further than I used to. I add in stairs or hills frequently. Don't limit yourself to 30 minutes. Go longer sometimes. And if you want to take up running start slow. Run 10 steps once on your walk.…

Good job. You now have a road bike that you like. Great for triathlons. I actually have 3 bikes one a decent road bike, one a very good mountain bike and a third bike that is 21 years old, no suspension and I just love it for running about town and doing errands. I can lock it up outside stores and not worry about it. I…

It's ok in spin class not to stand when the others do. Just tell instructor ahead of time. You can modify activities to suit your body.

I had fun. When I first started losing I donated a box of clothes to my mom and older sister. They were pleased and could just ft into them. Some nice hardly worn outfits went to another friend-who is tall. Perfect fit I did ask this friend first. Last box just went to a friend who is here from England for 6 months. 'Take…

I'm on it 3x day for diabetes. I started with 1/2 pill 3x day. I take mine during my meals. Initially lots of diarrhea and nausea, that has settled now It does help me manage my diet because I don't feel as starved and have smaller cravings. I can meet my calorie goal of 1400 calories. I eat lower carb. Try nuts as a…

You have done it before and you know you can do it again. Enjoy the extra time with your kids as the weight comes off. It will come off. I've gone from 204 to 159 in 7 months but if I upped my exercise and tightened up my eating it could have taken less time.

@ strebor337 She has SEPARATED from her husband. Use your brain. She doesn't WANT him as her drill sargeant.

that 2 people commented on my weight loss "You are wasting away to nothing " said one. I looked at her and said " I have gone from obese to overweight, my goal is a healthy body weight". That ended the conversation quickly.

too many vairaibles to be accurate anyhow. Are you on a lake or river with a current? Wind behind you or agianst you? Type of kayak? size of blade? It's only going to be an estimate so use the standard and consider a harder workout a bonus.

Not worth counting but is worth doing!

wow. I've meanged my blood sugars and dropped 45 lbs and upped my exercise. Still on metformin 3 x a day. Yesterday though my blood sugars dropped-first time ever that low. Had to eat a lifesaver. Maybe the doctor is right and next month we'll reduce the metformin.

so quit beating yourself up and move on. You can't change the past but you can choose what you eat and do today.

It may not do much but I like green tea, and so it is my breakfast tea. No calories and I have tea anyways. It's the calorie counting and exercise that leads to weightloss.

a couple of comments How close to goal weight are you? Weight loss slows down when you have less to lose If all that walking is hurting your back switch it up. Try some biking, a fitnes class, tennis etc. Try changing the intensity of your work outs. Right now it seems like low intensity, high amount of time. Add some…

Recent type 2 here. It's not just sugars folks. It's also carbs you have to watch because carbs break down into sugars. 45 lbs gone. Great blood sugars. Doc is considering no meds for me in sept .

GET TO A Doctor. My eyes changed with high blood sugars-needed new glasses. With my sugars under control they improved (but not quite to my old prescription). Never heard of sugar curing blurry eyes. What is your blood sugar first thing in the morning? You are supposed to take it 2 hours after a meal. Diabetes for Dummies…

I count calories for weight loss. I also watch carbs for my diabetes. I limit both calories and carbs. It's working for me with 45 lbs gone.

Ok this thread motivated me to go through my clothes. A bunch of pants are on their way out of this house-and under them are several pairs that now fit well.

and what you are doing is working. 3 lbs down. Keep at it!
