Hi, you also need to make sure you eat enough... My personal trainer went through a typical week and noted I wasn't eating enough. Since adding protein rich snacks into my diet and weighing my food, I've gone down in weight for the first time in over a year. I've also noticed changes when I mix up cardio and weights. I…

I like running.. and it may not be as effective at HIIT in losing weight, but I've still lost weight/ body fat and I'm enjoying it, so kindly keep your opinions to yourself. I'd rather do something I enjoy than something I don't.

Hi, I am seeing a trainer at the moment. She's really good, has numerous qualifications etc and has sorted out my nutrition as it was poor. (Mainly as I wasn't eating enough) For the first time in ages my weight is dropping and I've lost some inches, she also did a gym plan for me for when I'm training by myself. I'd…

Also try to change up your fitness routine. Working different muscle groups at differing intensities can help you burn more calories. If you do the same thing every day, your body gets used to it and becomes more efficient at it, and you burn less calories. .... Agreed I've noticed much more changes in my shape and body…

From my own experience I would! I love cardio- mainly because I feel when I sweat and I'm exhausted I've done something. But I've been seeing a personal trainer for the past four months and have noticed more changes in my body since doing more weights. (My body fat dropped by 3% in two months) If you enjoy cardio I…

Ah lack of fat could be why I've been so daft lately! :-)

I think people might have confused me with the author of this post. I'm not the vegan! I'm just as frustrated as her though and have more weight to lose. I couldn't be a vegan I like eggs and meat too much!

Thanks for the advice! I have been thinking about getting a heart rate monitor- currently debating whether I want that or a garmin more! It is frustrating as I avoid a wide range of foods due to them being high in fat- peanut butter, cashew nuts, cheese have all been kicked to the curb and things don't seem to be changing…

or even weigh my food! d'oh

Please see my last post... But I will endeavour to weight my food and see if that makes a difference next week. Thanks for the tips! I didn't mean to come across as nasty!

I don't really eat processed foods... Granola has too much sugar in it. I'm trying to have a clean diet, so cheese is out! If I was 300 cals say out that would take calories up to 2000 a day, I exercise 5/6 days a week burning between 300-900 cals a session which would take me back well within the TDEE recommended weight…

I don't weigh my food, no, but surely there can't be much difference in a chicken breast on here in calories, I normally add a bit extra on to the data as I fill this in anyway! I eat three meals a day all of which have protein in them, and carbs are included if I've trained. I try and have three protein snacks and a…

Very... and you're a lot lighter than me!

I do understand that I will be building my muscle and muscle weights more than fat.. I've had that lecture about a zillion times, I know I shouldn't look at the scales and look at inches etc...( which last month wasn't very much) but it still gets you down. Particularly when you're classed as borderline obese on the BMI…

I'm a bit stuck too! Have upped my protein, reduced carbs to when I'm training, I'm doing more weights and resistance work mixed with cardio and in a year I've lost whole 1.5 kg... Frustrating!
