I recommend watching this documentary. It's from the 80s, so it's a little old. But it's pretty crazy to think that we knew all of this about sugar BACK THEN and still it's widely ignored. http://www.fathead-movie.com/index.php/2011/08/21/before-sugar-the-bitter-truth/

So you weigh 2lbs more now than you did on Monday, is that correct? My advice is not to worry about what the scales say so much. Besides the fact that our weight can fluctuate DAILY by 3-7 lbs, depending on what we've eaten, had to drink, how we worked out, etc., I highly doubt you've eaten 7000 extra calories in the past…

I'm not sure about the UK, but in Canada I've only ever seen Stevia in the Organics sections. From what I've read, you need to be careful that you're getting actual Stevia and not the brands created by big food companies that have none of the actual benefits of Stevia, while being branded as Stevia products, such as…

I have to agree with the poster who called BS on this one. You most certainly CAN change your lifestyle, at ANY TIME. It is YOUR LIFE. What you probably meant to say was "at this time in my life, I WON'T". I understand it's your job to be at bars and promote events, but I still fail to see why you HAVE to have 6-7 drinks…

I don't think you really need to adjust the amount of calories you eat, but after looking through your food diary you should try to adjust the quality of the calories you eat. Others have mentioned sodium, and I have to agree. Try watching your sodium intake! Recommended daily intake for adults is just 1500 mg a day. From…

What a beautiful little boy to keep you inspired and motivated! Best of luck although with a cute lil face like that, doesn't seem like you'll need any extra pushes!

Why just cardio? I think if you look through the forums, you'll find lots of examples and explanations as to why you should also think about incorporating Strength training in some form into your weekly routine. 2 hrs seems like a long time to do Cardio, 6 days a week to me. Please make sure you're fueling your body with…

Bump. Thanks for providing this great information. I haven't tried Truvia or PureVia, but I was thinking about it. Glad to know I should just avoid it altogether!

Without viewing your food diary, there isn't too much advice I can give you. For me I found the last 10 lbs depended more on my diet than how much I was working out. I suggest tracking your sodium and sugar, if you aren't already. Trying to stay under 1500 mg sodium a day (daily recommended intake for adults) helped me, as…

I've found it to be pretty accurate, I'm usually within a lb of what it predicts I will be. Sometimes I get to the weight it tells me before the 5 week mark. I try to be as accurate as I can with logging my foods and try to stay consistent with how much I eat from one day to the next. I like the motivation factor of the…

Hungry Girl recipes are low calorie, sure, but they are FULL of processed foods, including all of those 'diet' and 'light' versions of everything. 'Diet' foods usually have a lot of the nutritional value removed to save calories, and sugar and sodium added to make it taste good again. The whole point of making your own…

I also love coffee and I've pretty much done the same that clw_888 did. I slowly (SLOWLY) weened myself off adding the sugar in my coffee. I started by only adding 1 packet of sugar instead of two, and did that for like, a month. Now that I'm drinking it without the sugar, I found that I love coffee EVEN MORE because I can…

I used Wii Fit when I first started working out just to get me moving and I loved it. You do have to push yourself if you want to get a good calorie burn out of it. I still use it, but now I use it more for tracking my weight and progress and doing jogs on the spot. I dropped 20 of my 29 lbs using Wii Fit and following MFP…

I thought that the difference between Accu-measure and regular body fat calipers were that with the Accu-measure, you're only supposed to take one measurement as opposed to several. I read about it the other day but can't remember where I read it to link it! I don't have either though, so I could be wrong!
