I had the same problem, I love to exercise but it drastically cuts my calories and caused big issues for me. I've decided to do exercise x3 per week and maybe low impact cardio on the other days and also putting my deficit a lot smaller (1550-1600). I've also incorporated foods I'd enjoy and are within my range so it…

I used to be like this at home studying for A-Levels - I'm the complete opposite now. What I did was develop a lot of productivity habits and start focusing on Uni work explicitly i.e. no distractions whilst doing so. The food may be there for your comfort - fix the problem itself and you'll feel no need to comfort-eat

In the same position I aim for another 7lbs to go - I've started strength training which I haven't done consistently but is definitely challenging me! Keep it going!

Wow you look absolutely fantastic!! You've given me hope it can happen as it seems very difficult thing to do right this minute. Thanks for posting this!!

Nobody's asked you to do anything.

This is said in a patronising way but is true, however I vouch for exercise as a big factor to keeping the weight along with becoming fitter so shouldn't be ignored so lightly

I agree! When people used to talk down to me it made me comfort eat a lot more but I got to a point after I came out of severe depression to make a change and exercise was the biggest factor that helped with that, since then it's all been internal although I get comments all the time (positive and negative). You'll always…

The gain in my face has been present ever since I've stepped up my calories and started eating a lot better than the low calorie side. My calorie range is within 1550-1720 (loses about 0.5 per week) I'm eating around 1600 and have maintained a good weight since I've come home so a tiny deficit should work. Also I'm not…

I'm not sure my calorie intake from food was low but became a deficit due to exercise. Like I said I'm fine now.

Gained 1lb I think, first time I've managed to not eat so much in Xmas holidays
 -
I get that but pushing on me STATING I have an eating disorder as a fact is very insulting. I fixed my diet as soon as possible and my body is fine, my hair grown back fully in less than a month and I'm eating >1500 calories per day. Right now I have a small calorie deficit and exercise doing cardio and started strength…

Weight before: 161 Weight now: 142 Caloric intake now: 1400-1700 Weight goal: 135

And why is that miss psychologist? I honestly am fine. I give up on the forums, if anything since coming here is when I started getting frustrated with it. Anorexia is when you don't eat due to body image - I cut out snacking completely but still ate three meals a day, my lunch which was very very healthy was low in…

Jeez I don't have any problems. I wasn't eating that low by purpose, the foods I ate we're generally low in calories and I did lots of exercise as I was stressed about other things.
 -
No I wasn't eating enough fat I was very low calories 600-800 per day and also exercising a lot...

Same boat - rest of body is fine except my belly but it'll go with time. Try to combine cardio and strength training, I'm going to try that as various fitness videos (fitnessblender is a personal favourite) has said that is really effective for losing belly fat as well as staying in a caloric deficit. Good luck!

Want to say I experienced this yesterday - I was the appetite of an elephant and now I've had good sleep my appetite has gone back to normal...tip: get good sleep.
 -
Ate a lot less than normal - needed it as I've had junk food the past few days within limits though..
 -
Yeah I think so too, just don't see it happening in a few weeks or whatever. I'll be happy as long as I progress. Alright thanks guys, I'm going to focus on the workouts, continue eating right and doing everything as I do, measure weekly and most importantly, wait.

I've been eating poorly the last three days especially. I did exercise today but ended up eating a junk food meal :/ I blame lack of sleep and chocolate, chocolate is my ultimate downfall. OP as long as you don't get upset by it and know you can work it off, you're good!!

Forgot to say thanks to everyone who took their time to reply :) Is doing cardio and strength training x3 per week enough to see a difference whilst eating at a deficit over a long period of time? I'm busy with university work amongst other things so even this is a high priority, it's not my highest.
 -
Is the strength training videos on FitnessBlender good for the goal?
 -
Don't think it is, it's whenever I eat junk food for a while it shows in my face or maybe I gain and my face is the first place it comes. It's weird but my face fat hasn't gone down as it used to before.
 -
That I have no idea. I'm 142lbs now, lost 19lbs so far. Right now my arms and thighs are the biggest changes seen and now I have belly fat. My face also goes a bit big if I eat things like chocolate, crisps etc. I'll probably need to up my exercise routine if anything and see how it works. Strength training has made a bit…

I have started seeing slightly changes but very slowly. I haven't eaten 'bad' this christmas holidays until Friday when we had a few days we had to go out and even then I tried to keep it to a minimum.
 -
As lack of sleep causes my emotional state to spiral, I find myself a little hungrier than normal to make myself feel better. Seems like a big deal to me personally.
 -
Planning to do x3 of Strength Training workouts and other days - just cardio

Doubt anyone really cared if they weren't losing weight, wouldn't even think twice about it..
 -
That's exactly how I think of it. I truly believe the next 5-7lbs will make a MASSIVE difference, everything has gone down except my belly.
