I'm 16lbs down...not sure how many left...maybe 10. I will know when I get there I guess. I'm in a healthy weight range for my height and I don't hate how I look...so this will probably take me a while

I totally agree...I used WW back in 2009 after my first son was born to lose weight, but since then things have changed 3x at least as far as the points go lol...it's just too much for me. Now I count calories and things are going well, I prefer this (Ci<CO) method long term for sure. :)

You look freaking AMAZING...I had 3 babies too and trying to bounce back and now you're my idol <3
-
You look amazing! Such an accomplishment! Thank you for the motivation :)

I think she was responding to the whole starvation mode thing which in this case simply does not apply....so she was right in her response. I'm not saying 1200 cal is right for OP, but the whole body starving and holding onto calories thing does not apply here

Nike Training Club app...it's free and it provides just enough exercise for me to maintain my strength /muscles (I can finally see!). I own so many beachbody DVDs and I do love them too :)

I hate the taste of most bottled water!!! I force myself to drink it everyday lol. My urine is typically pale yellow day to day without forcing myself to drink it. Honestly 32-48oz is freakishly plenty for me. This has not hindered my weight loss in any way :)

Controlling it is key I would think...why do you binge? Is it emotional? Did an event/situation cause this? Is it hormonal? (Not knowing gender) I tend to binge the week of my cycle and it's my hormones going freaking crazy. I do my best to pick foods that aren't calorie dense and wait it out because I know it'll pass :D

I miss Dallas...I was there temporarily after Hurricane Katrina and fell in love! I'm back in New Orleans, but hope to visit soon :)

I get not wanting to calorie count...I don't know your history, but for me it can be a trigger so I'm very careful. In this case I would add in a daily walk (exercise) and see if you notice improvement. Since I'm in recover from an ED I steer clear of steep calorie deficits and try to maintain some exercise calories…

Well...I chew probiotic gummies everyday and that helps, strong coffee helps...worst case scenario...milk of magnesia helps...good luck :D

You look amazing!!!

It may seem strict at first, but proper logging will show results. Make sure you accurately log your food recipes and you'll be good to go. :)

Oh Man...Low carb anything sounds difficult for me! To each their own though...have you considered your exercise causing water retention?...this happens to me anytime I switch up/begin a new routine and takes at least two weeks for my body to get with the damn program and drop it...Give it a couple weeks :)
-
^^^this....take measurements. I can go weeks without much change on the scale but inches are being lost...it keeps me going. Also when I started out I saw very little change the first 2-3weeks...then BAM I dropped a few lbs in week 4 which I honestly wasn't expecting, because I didn't have a lot to lose. It always takes…

I always exercise on a pretty empty stomach, but only because I feel nauseous otherwise. I haven't noticed "faster" weight loss....that would be nice though :D
-
I agree with the above statement...I would eat at maintenance for healing purposes, on the plus side of this you get to test out maintenance calories while being pretty sedentary so you know for future reference what you can eat :D
-
Can you bring your own food to work and then eat that, so no one tries to force you to eat the shift meal? If you absolutely have to eat that meal I would try to fast prior to save calories for that meal to maintain my deficit :)
-
For me...yes it's ok. I eat at a larger deficit throughout the week and a smaller or no deficit or even a mild surplus on the weekends (restaurant food) and still maintain a loss week to week

[quote= Thank you. The issue is my husband says to me literally daily " how much weight did you lose this week" and I find myself so anxious that I did it or a small loss I go off the rails and binge eat. He tells me I stopped caring how I look but I know he means well. He watched me gain weight for the last 10 years and…

You can do this! (Mom of 3... 7yrs old, 3yrs old 2yrs old)
-
Nope...exercise is NOT necessary, but nice if you want extra calories to eat. I have been anorexic in the past...."starvation mode" doesn't exist the way you think it does. I was very thin and almost hospitalized before I got help, and at no point did my body think "yep, turn on starvation mode now". I thought I had messed…

For weight loss purposes calories in vs calories out is it...macros (proteins, fat, carbs etc) won't change this. If you have trouble eating a certain food group then limit it as necessary...it won't affect your weight loss goal overall if your calories in are lower than your calories out.

Oh man...I prefer Hershey or Dove to the more "higher end" brand names of chocolate....but then again, I did grow up poor :/ either way I still look for/request my Hershey at holidays :)
-
I drink pretty regularly...and I've not had a problem working it in and still seeing the scale move in the right direction :)
-
Take a deep breath...you can do this. I didn't teach myself how to cook until I was 30 and wanted to surprise my hubby on Valentine's Day...seriously I had never cooked meat of any kind before this :D Now I'm the only cook in the house. I use food blogs for recipes with nutritional info to get me started. Skinnytaste.com,…

I second the above posts, but just to add it takes me a while to lose weight on the scales when I start back up. It took me about 3-4weeks to finally see the numbers going down steadily. Give it some time...log as accurately as you can and you will see the results ;)
-
Not sure I have "real" info because I haven't conducted any studies of my own...but I have personal info...I can eat and drink (yep...alcohol) any time I want (the clock is irrelevant for me) and as long as I'm under my calories....I lose for the week. Maybe I'm an anomaly to science maybe I'm not...maybe I can eat 300…

Oh I feel every ounce of your pain :| . If it wasn't for people telling me I lost weight I wouldn't believe it, then I catch a side eye glimpse in the mirror and I'm thinking ok...maybe I do look different, but can't pinpoint where. For me it's mental...it's one reason I struggled with an eating disorder most of my life,…

The same thing happened to me...it falls off in chunks lol
