  • I have moments where I walk past a mirror and see my reflection and I stop and stare, because I didn't realize that's what I look like now....I've lost 16lbs. It's like it startled me, I just don't think that I look like that so my brain tries to catch up and take it all in...so I get it :)
  • Oddly enough if I'm trying to lose weight (like now trying to lose baby weight) yes, but once I hit my goal I can maintain for years (until another pregnancy happens :D ) without tracking. I'm great at maintenance, but suck at losing it intuitively.
  • Welcome! You can do this...I have 3 kiddos ( ages 7, 3, 2) so I get not having a lot of personal time, logging accurately and consistently will be your best help, even if you can't work in exercise just yet, you will still lose just by maintaining your deficit.
  • Well if it's a weekly splurge I fast the day of. Saturday night's I eat out and will fast prior, this helps me stay on track week to week, because I still maintain a deficit. Then there are weekends like this one....where I had Mothers Day and my birthday...I ate a ton of food over the course of 3 days. I didn't track a…
  • Breakfast - 45 (coffee creamer lol) Lunch- ehh...230-350 Dinner- 500-++ Snacks- 100- 250 depending on morning or afternoon snack.
  • For me I typically fast the day of and then splurge on that cheat meal. If that doesn't work for one reason or another I simply try not to worry. It's one meal...my deficit was solid the other 6 days out the week...we got this :D
  • I definitely eat more (restaurant food) and drink (the dranks) ;) on the weekends. I typically fast those days though prior to going out...I haven't been over maintenance this way and sometimes even keep a deficit, but if it's working for you keep moving along :)
  • Wow...I'm really jealous of everyone's step count....sitting here between 10-15k daily :D
  • OP go easy on yourself. I'm the same height and I *wish* around the same weight. Since you are upset/concerned try the above advice and eat just a few days at maintenance. I find this helps break my rut and I'm ready to refocus and lose again after a couple days.
  • I find my fitbit pretty accurate now, but it took about 2 weeks to get that way. Stats will make a difference though.. No way I could burn that many calories with 20k steps...maybe 3000 and that would be a stretch for me at my height and weight.
  • Well before I was on the pill I would go up in weight a day or 2 before and then after a few days during it would drop. I had terribly heavy cycles and the "light" feeling of the water weight dropping was always a sign the end was near and relief would come :D On the pill my cycles are lighter but I go up a freaking week…
  • Which version is this? I have a Charge and I've never noticed ? (walking is my primary form of exercising)
  • I honestly can't eat anything before an intense workout :s ....maybe sugar free jello for me would work. I feel too pukey if I try to eat too much.
  • This is great! I've had some of those things, but more because I wanted too...and the ACV, well a friend and I drank it for 40 days as a Lenten penance once :D
  • Yeah I'm with patience on this one...I'm down to my final 7lbs until I reevaluate my goal, but I'm taking my time getting there :)
  • Will apple cider vinegar at 2TBL a day mixed with water, lemon, cayenne pepper, or anything else I have in my kitchen help me lose weight faster??
  • Well for me at 5'2, I can say after a 15lb loss everyone I work with has noticed...I didn't have a lot to lose though, but this week seemed to really be when it clicked for my workmates :)
  • Well...I'm 5.2 and a half....I was a size 0-2 at 118lbs....I'm a size 6-8 dress at 134lbs....not sure if that helps you but somewhere in that range I'd guess would be your target. I am most definitely an Apple shape too :D
  • I have struggled with anorexia a large portion of my life, please seek professional help (therapist, not on the forums). I am older and wiser now and I STILL struggle and fight some demons daily. Please try to get help, there is more at play here than just a calorie deficit.
  • Are you setting it to maintenance at your current weight? Like, as in a mini deficit break? If so, then, yes I have days I eat at maintenance at my current weight just because I want to...then I get back to a deficit and things track downward from that point. :)
  • This happens to me, I find the grease in the meal has to do with it. I fast on Saturdays and eat out at a restaurant on Saturday night. I end up feeling sick if I eat something too greasy...not sure why but it happens every time :D
  • You look fantastic! This is just the motivation I needed for today. Mom of three and working off the baby weight I've held onto for too long :D
  • You can do this...don't give up! :) There is a learning curve and it took me some time to figure out weighing food and to realize how important it is.
  • My best friend has PCOS. She was overweight for quite a while (and was convinced she couldn't lose weight) until she found out she was also in renal failure (unrelated). She is on a kidney friendly diet, and has lost a ton of weight. I'm not saying you need to follow a low phosphorous diet like her, but that a calorie…
  • Are you on the pill? Just wondering if that helps at all?? I just got on a low dose after my third baby, because I had ridiculously heavy cycles since I was 12....I'm honestly sorry I waited so long for relief, the low dose pill has changed my life
  • I log once I see the same weight on the scale consecutively 2 days in a row, both on here and then on fitbit app...but it's like if I don't see the same weight on the scale at least twice the first low number was just a dream and never happened :D
  • For me if I was you I would firstly take a deep breath...then eat at maintenance calories for a few days while adjusting to quitting smoking. Once you feel a bit better THEN introduce a calorie deficit. It just seems like a lot of change all at once, maybe breaking it down into stages will help?
  • I only IF on weekends because I eat calorically heavy later in the day (ex. eating out, meals not prepared by myself), so that probably doesn't mean I'm a true IF'er, but it does help me maintain my deficit for the day and I keep a steady loss for the week :)
  • I'm not sure of your stats but I'm 5'2.5 weigh 134lbs and lose on 1500 calories, so 1600 is very possible
  • If it's one meal don't stress and just enjoy it. As long as splurging calorically isn't a daily habit where you're having to guess wildly about calories then you'll be fine....now sodium and water retention may cause a jump on the scale. I know for me if I even smell soy sauce I have a temporary gain on the scale for 2…
