Do they say "no" like you're an idiot for asking or do they say it like they understand why you're asking but they just don't do it? Also, are they very fit? I'll bet most people don't count them, because they never had an issue with being overweight. I would guess that if I asked around, say, my office, most of the people…

I only have a shake on days when I am really low on protein by the end of the day. Those days I tend to be low on calories too, so it works out. Without yummy things like peanut butter, ice cream or oatmeal cookies added, they are too yucky to gag down, so I have to be really low on calories for that to be my solution.

And they're also pretty high in sodium.

I am a very boring eater/cook. I use nothing but black pepper and garlic powder 99.999% of the time.

And it's imperative for a person to be able to be alone. What better time to get to know yourself than as a little tiny one? This isn't just for the sake of Mommy getting time to exercise (or shower or have a conversation with a friend, etc etc). Start them young being able to entertain themselves, for their own…

So many experts. Potassium is helpful for battling high blood pressure as well.
-
And they are an excellent source of potassium, which matters more than the carbs or calories for people who really need the potassium. And for really not that many calories for how filling they are. And who could eat a whole cucumber? I couldn't . Blech. Orange juice is also a great source of potassium.

I have had kidney stones (passed them more than once) and I have had contractions while in labor and i can tell you, the pain is similar. The difference is that the kidney stone pain didn't come and go like labor pain, it came and stayed for hours and hours. And I have heard that it's worse for men and they can often pass…

Literally? I'd solve that issue first and then track and weigh all your food to make the weight go in the right direction.

Love it! You look great!! I love the progress shots! :flowerforyou:

Wow! Awesome! Love the donut shot!

Great job! I used to see myself in pictures and think it looked like i was in a fat suit, since I didn't feel THAT fat. Ha!

Ah! Oops! There I go *kitten*-u-me-ing! Well it works for guys too :blushing:

Ah! Your friends miss you! You certainly don't have to stop being fun to lose 5 pounds! I have lost 30 pounds (so far) and I have never once skipped an afternoon drink with the girls or a slice of office b-day cake. Go into the fitness forum and read the sticky post at the top about being a woman in the weight lifting…

Oh. Yeah. I know that place.I was just thinking about how I missed that happy place a little the other day. I had gotten home from shopping and went to grab a water and when I opened the fridge I felt that sensation of what it was like to be grabbing a Mtn. Dew and something salty to go with it and sitting down at my…

True dat.

Why do you need to convince anyone? It's nobody else's business.

This is the reason I wouldn't have surgery. I have nothing against it. I am just as brainwashed as the next person who thinks big and round is best, but hearing about potential loss of sensitivity makes this a no-brainer for me. Not a risk I am willing to take.

Less lunch lady! LOL  I have seen positive effects on my chest with lifting too... I think. I lost about 30 pounds before I started lifting and I was NOT liking what was happening to the chesticles. I started lifting about 2 months ago and they seem less deflated in the last couple of weeks. Maybe my skin is just…

Wow! You look FANtastic! :flowerforyou:

Well said! :drinker:

Up until about there I thought you were talking about cocktails and I was thinking that it was a great idea! :drinker:
-
I really find it very encouraging and I will take all I can get while I am still losing/changing (one on one - I would hate to have a group of people staring at and commenting on my body! Eek!) . I find the "what are you doing to lose weight?" question to be a weird one, because I don't think people really want to hear it.…

Very Keifer Sutherland! :drinker: Good for you for taking control so early in life! :flowerforyou:

and if you could, I wouldn't!

I have peanut butter on wheat toast every morning! I do avoid wheat bagels now, just because they aren't worth it to me calorically or sodium-wise, and I don't eat "just because" bread anymore like they give you at Longhorn before you even order. If I am eating bread now, it's as a part of my meal, like toast or a…

Really it comes down to this. ^ Eating too much or snacking too much has never been my problem (mine was more of an eating high cal unhealthy crap problem) but I was a 3 pack a day smoker way back in my 20's, so I do understand the problem. I did a few things when I quit smoking that I think helped a lot. I quit cold…

I'm not sick of eating it, but I am sick of cooking it! I created a yummy protein shake that gets me 42 grams of protein. It's high cal (about 600) but I find that when I am lacking protein I am also lacking calories. It has one scoop of the yucky chocolate whey protein powder with a handful of ice, a cup of milk (2…
