  • Hi Everyone! Thanks Kristen for organizing this group. The chart looks awesome. I'm Susan...41 yrs old. Mom of two girls 18 & 9. I'm very excited about this challenge. I joined MFP 6 mths ago. Did great during March and April, then May was not so great. Got back on track June and July, then August was not so great. So here…
  • I think spreading your visits to your favorite restaurants every few weeks is a great idea! This is exactly why I joined a challenge. Being in a group is definitely going to motivate me and help keep me accountable. Congrats on reaching 30lbs!!
  • Hi, I'm so glad there is a little flexibility with the weigh in day. My normal day is Friday so I'll probably stick with that and get my weight in a little early. I've never done a challenge before so I am really looking foward to this. Also looking foward to meeting new friends. I can use all the support I can get. :)…
  • I'd love to join! I would like to lose 20lbs by 12/24. I will have to weigh myself and get back with my numbers.
  • I'd love to join! This is my first challenge.
  • Bump - peanut butter and chocolate... my favorite:love: !
  • Amazing transformation! Seriously my jaw dropped. Good for you!!! :)
  • I use Youtube for my strength training. Do a search for leg exercises. I do my legs twice a week and I have definitely seen great results. :) Edit: I forgot to say.... I can't run so I walk on the treadmill at a high incline. All of this combined my thighs have thinned out. Like someone said you can't spot reduce but the…

  • Welcome! I turned 41 in May and I couldn't agree with you more. My body just stopped working the way it used to when I was younger. It's so much harder to get results now-a-days. Working out with a trainer should help you BIG time. My trainer is Youtube....lol. It has tons of workout 'how-to's' that I use for strength…
  • Thank you so much! I have NEVER been able to do push ups. I do strength training for my arms twice a week so Saturday when I was doing my arms I thought I'd take a stab at push ups again to see if it was any easier now that I have been working out. Nope! I couldn't even do one and I was on my knees. I would REALLY like to…
  • I'm in the same boat too. I am working out doing strength training and cardio but he scale doesn't move however my body is changing. My clothes fit loser. My thighs look better and the best part is I actually have somewhat of a tush now that I have been doing squats and lunges. I am hoping the scale will reflect my progess…
  • Oh....My....God!!!! You look so amazing. Like a new person. So inspiring!!
  • Great story. Thank you for sharing. It comforts me to know that others have the same struggles especially when it comes to motivation. Why does the motivation disappear when we need it the most? You'll get those 20lbs off. You are here talking about it which proves you are ready and mean business. Good luck! Sending a…
  • I think what she is saying is that in order to fix what you have screwed up with the years of yo-yo dieting (read it again people) is to take your current weight x 12 and stick to that for 1-2 months to fix your body; then you can start with a deficit and start losing weight the healthy way. I think she hit the nail on the…
  • I usually have almonds, greek yogurt or a banana. Sometimes I will drink a cup of 1% milk which is a little over a 100 calories and 8g protein.
  • I thought it looked like too much work until I read this. Doesn't look too bad now...lol. Thanks for sharing!
  • When I signed up I put 160 but but I'm still a long ways from that so I'll see when I get closer. 155 might achievable for my frame/build.
  • You look fabulous! Thanks for sharing.
  • I'm with both of you and this is why I might change mine to private. Mine is open to friends but to be honest I have never been comfortable with it being open. I think because I am a private person and my eating habits are SO personal. I ususally eat well but the days I don't, I will not log. I'm thinking if I had it set…
  • Wow! You are doing great! I could definitely benefit from a motivated friend...especially one who has been as successful as you. Please add me. :)

  • I think the best thing to do is try a few different brands. The ones with fruit are much better however the plain is good for shakes, recipes, etc. I agree with everyone, chobani is good, but the Dannon happens to be good too and it's a little cheaper. Dannon blueberry with a little spenda mixed in.... yummy!
  • Looking good!!! And don't be embarrassed for posting these pics...you have no idea how much motivation you bring to others here by posting them. Before and after pics are what keep me going. :) Keep up the awesome work!!! :)
  • I get mine from the deli and it's a normal slice (not too thin or too thick) usually each slice is about 1 ounce.
  • Not only do you look amazing, you look SO happy! Thanks for sharing. :)
  • I switched from: peanut butter to almond butter 1% milk to unsweetened almond milk chips and dip to carrots and hummus ice cream to skinny cow bars If I crave sweets or candy I make chocolate covered strawberries as a special treat every once in a while. Makes me feel better to incorporate the chocolate with fruit…lol.
  • haha...I loved Hot Tub Time Machine too!! Usually if I don't like a movie I can't even remember it because I had no interest, but one that I do remember hating was Lovely Bones. I hated everything about it.
  • We own a home repair and remodeling company. It's actually a bunch of headaches but what I absolutely love about it is going to work with my man every day. A lot of couples can't spend 24/7 together but it works for us. The flexibility is also a big perk!
