  • It really depends on what you're doing. It sounds like you're doing a lot of reps so you'd have to have smaller weights. I do less reps so I use quite a bit more weight. If you can see a difference and it's a struggle, then you're doing it right! When it ceases to be a struggle, up the weights :)
  • That's so awesome! I love hearing stories like this :) Dieting doesn't have to mean you're hungry all the time! Keep at it!
  • I wouldn't worry too much. Your diary looks ok anyways. It's most like water weight. If you had a lot of sodium, your body would be clinging to water. Also... women just naturally fluctuate with our cycle. Don't get down on yourself! Just keep at it :)
  • I also eat about that amount of protein--MFP original setting is just a guide anyways, not the end all be all. The three best sources of protein are egg whites, chicken breast and whey. Pork, beef whole eggs and other fatty sources are good too but only once in a while. If you keep these items well stocked it should be…
  • Exercise. Sounds awful but when I feel like snacking from boredom I work out. Keeps me busy and suppressed the appetite! Even just going for a walk helps, but usually I just throw on workout clothes and a workout video and keep busy with that! Works every time :)
  • I know how you feel! I work out 45mins to an hour a day, six days a week and while that really revs the metabolism, it also means I get hungry all the time! To combat my hunger, I eat 20g of protein per meal (I eat 1500kcal per day in five to six meals). If I don't have that protein, I find I'm hungry not even an hour…
  • My eyes bulged a little at the Red Bull comment haha. That's awesome then! If you can do it, do it!! :)
  • omg I did the same exact thing!! I sat there eating with a spoon day after day... then finally I threw it away with the lid on. And of course the next day I was back at it... so I had to stuff trash into it and put it upside down in my trashcan! lol! Also, cookies of any sort for me! Particularly chocolate chip... yum!
  • That sounds about right. If your goal is weight loss, I would recommend NOT eating back those calories. Just stick with the 1700 calories and go from there.
  • I find that I'm too lazy or tired to work out after work--so I was up at 6am every morning and do my workout. It was tough at first but I haven't missed a work out in months and I feel amazing. When you wake up, there's no time to think ughhh I don't want to do this. You get up, put your clothes on and start working out.…
  • Lately I've been into these Breakfast Cookies: http://www.eatbetteramerica.com/recipes/healthified-oatmeal-peanut-butter-breakfast-cookies/bc789e3a-1a87-44f0-a24d-cdb18a89155d I left out the honey completely, subbed the milk powder for whey powder and added a little milk to get it moist and VOILA! No sugar, delicious…
  • That sounds really tough! I'm not sure what kind of exercising you're doing now, but I would avoid anything high impact at all and instead do exercises that are gentle on your body. Swimming, yoga and pilates are really good options. Also, try some moderate to light weight lifting with your upper body. There are definitely…
  • My recommendation is changing your macronutrient amounts. I think you're eating way too much fat and too little protein. I would up your protein intake to closer to 40% of your diet and lower your fat to around 20%. Just that should help kick your body into fat burning mode--but to really top it off I'd also reduce your…
  • If you keep on track with your diet--eating healthy and smaller portions--the numbers will naturally decrease into the normal range. I looked at your diary, and I would really recommend reducing your carbs and increasing your protein. If you lower your carbs, your body will have to get energy from another source--aka your…
  • That looks great! I think the only thing I would change is how much you do HIIT training. Considering how intense it is, you really shouldn't do it everyday. Instead, maybe do it every other day with other steady cardio in between. Especially if you're doing it twice a day... how do you have the energy for that lol. That's…
  • 1. The weekends because I'm never at home... so many temptations! 2. Feeling so restricted when it comes to food. 3. Not being able to cook any recipe! I love cooking!
