You can also use empty gallon milk jugs as dumbbells. Fill with water and they become approximately 8 lbs each (if you need to upgrade from the 4 lb weights you already have). There are all kinds of "dumbbell exercises you can do to strengthen your arms, shoulders, back, etc. Hope this helps! Good Luck! :-)
