Well, the majority of my loss comes from not downing a liter of vodka per week, so I don't think I have any reason to be uncertain of that method...
-
Exactly. I feel like weight talk here on MFP is "invited" - In real life, I haven't asked anyone to *kitten* my size!
-
^This too! I had a family member make a big show of "omg, you've lost so much weight since I last saw you!" at a time where I HADN'T lost anything - just made me think "well, remind me to trow out the dress I wore last time, if it made me look that much heavier!!"
-
When I'm visiting my mom, every time I get up from a chair she goes "Oh, don't sit back down, I want to keep looking at you properly!" etc. And it's even worse if my grandma is around, she will clap on my stomach, and keep asking about how many carbs I'm eating.
-
That's what I very often feel too! Here the other day my brother found a year old pic of me, and just raised his brows in a disapproving way and said 'well, it's good you've lost weight now!'
-
Luckily the people who comment the most on me, don't do it as publicly! I would die!
-
Oh, I don't mean on here, I meant in real life - I don't mind people clicking 'like' etc. here, because they don't know me.

Hmm, tough one, I suppose you could always add the M&M's to something healthy and then just accept that it's now less healthy... Plain, water based oatmeal could probably be a nice snack spiced up with some chocolate... Though then you should realize it leaves the 'breakfast' category, and goes into the 'It's OK to indulge…

I've dropped 41lbs, and 4 pants sizes (though 0-1 dress sizes, my boobs and arms haven't shrunk!). It can really depend - where are your jeans snug, for example? If they are snug in the waist, but you lose from your thighs first, well, then it's going to be a while!
-
Ever since I discovered eggwhites, I've been set! I have a veggie omelet a few times a week, and then I'm pretty much set for my protein goal!

We don't have low fat dairy in my country :( Generally, we don't really have low cal versions of things. The food culture here is that people will rather have it less often, but then have the real, full fat, full sugar versions of it.
-
@Mamafunky - I do actually put a lot of those in my stir frys etc! But I did that when drinking more milk too, so I worry that it might not be enough to make up for it! Must make more stir frys then :D
-
I know fat is not inherently bad, but I'd still like to be in the comfortable middle of the recommended 25-35% :) Thanks for the list! These don't seem to be sorted by calcium absorption though, as I'm seeing a lot of things with very high content of oxelate - I worry it might do worse for my calcium absoprtion, which is…

It will deffinitely make a difference for the tiramisu! Eggs + sugar makes a very distinct consistency, that you can't get without the sugar..

I used to always be hungry too, now I'm training myself to stand longer periods of times between eating - maybe start with one hour 'pauses', and then just make sure to have something healthy and/or low cal available for your next bite. Fruits, and veggies and stuff. And make sure to drink lots! Fills you up for a bit, so…

Sort of. I used to be the first to suggest to get hammered, but now, having calculated that the amount I used to drink on a night out tskes up more than my daily calorie allowance, I'm not so inclined. I think I've been drunk three times since I started MFP in late december.

I was diagnosed with it when I was quite young, like, a child. I had a light box for while which helped a bit, but I don't have it anymore. It's not every year that it gets really really bad, but when it does, I have to say, I am indeed very bad off. I suffer a lot. But I try to be prepared for it, and take measures to…

Oh wow, such great suggestions! :D Thank you, I will deffinitely put these on my meal plan (:

Ugghhh, I'm so sad that we don't have any faux food products in my country :( And the only "American Store" in the area just closed!! I tried to buy some stuff off amazon, but the shipping price was higher than the products, which were already very expensive! Do any of you know of some European faux foods, or maybe a…

Thank you! :D It really was amazing! I love making stir frys, so easy to throw in what ever veggies you haveHere you go: (+some spices, like curry, paprika, chili powder etc.) MFP says there's no saturated fat in it, but I looked up the fatty ingredients, and calculated that really there is 2.1g in the whole thing, 0.7g…

I had one about 2 years ago, though not under standard conditions. At my university, I often volenteer to be a test person at the medical department or the hospital - Not drug trials or anything like that, but quite often they need people as 'standard data' to compare with ill people, or they need to see how one lifestyle…

I don't think it's net - I had one day with no excersize where I got that message, and then the next day, I ate more, but worked out so that the net calories were lower than the day before - and no message. Plus, what if someone is really short and inactive? Sure there are a lot of people where 1200 is not too little

A conservative estimate (of 250g loss pr week) should land me at my goal weight on the 6th of August. Though I've calculated that my net calories per week since december would actually equal an average 291g/week, which would then get me to my goal on the 2nd of July. If I could stick to what I've been at for this past…

My starting weight was 254, current weight is 216, and I'm going for 200lbs (so - 54lbs), though my end goal is 163 (so 91 from start weight, 53 from now) I will deffinitely send you a friend request! I feel like it's difficult to relate to those who either need to lose very little, or who were already just in the upper…

I'm eating the most delicious stir fry right now!! That whole skillet it filled with over 1220 grams of ingredients! And yet there's only 716 calories in the whole thing! I took 1/3rd of it (which filled my whole dinner plate!), and it's 233 calories, 42.5% from carb, 32.7% from protein, and 22.7% from fat. Plus 8g of…

I've lived in the US for many years, and I'd say in the north, like Minnesota (where I'm born!), you can get a lot of the Scandinavian foods, though a lot of it tends to be a bit old fashioned - think Christmas dinner and grandmas cooking. In the South (where I went to High School) - no such luck! I missed liquirce and…

It' means like "Red porridge without cream", a famous Danish desert. The original is "red porridge with cream", and it's kind of a joke in Denmark because pretty much only locals can pronounce it
-
Haha :b
-
I log most of them - I know how far it is and I know how long it takes me, so I just add it by the end of the day. I don't usually log trips to the post office or grocery store though - Besides, I'll rather "risk" logging too little excersize, so I don't get a false idea of how much I can eat!
-
I've tasted them, used to live in the US: I think they are alright - of course not the same as the real stuff, but I do tend to get a chocolate craving that could be stopped by any sort of vaguly chocolate-y desert :b
