  • Yea, I know :s But he feels like he would miss out on most of the day if he was to go to bed at like, 8pm or something, which I can kind of get. He wants to help out with the stuff I do around the home after dinner, or watch a movie toghether, or have date night etc. The reason I post this here, is because I think getting…
  • I try to tell him to go early to bed, but he often wants to stay up with me etc. Luckily I am not much of a night-owl, but still, I get to sleep in as much as I want (writing thesis, make my own hours), but he still deffinitely gets way less sleep than me. I also don't think he is a heavy sleeper, which is why I think it's…
  • I wasn't complaining - I just wasn't sure if my feeling of flabby-ness is due to having already build up fat, or if it's a 'symptom' of PMS. To me, gaining fat will (likely) be useful, and gaining muscle will be counter productive. I need a higher bodyfat%
  • Mine is 42. I don't do any exercize, but the highest it's been has been 55. Think it's genetic, my fathers and brothers' are well below 40

  • No, I've only been surplus-eating for 1½ weeks. The week before that, I had been told to log a week of eating for my doctor, so I started with a weigh-in, where I got the 116lbs. So even though I weighed in even lower than I thought, I continued to eating sort of my normal amounts and foods for the next week until my next…
  • I haven't weighed myself "accurately" - I weighed myself yesterday afternoon, not undressed and hadn't recently been to bathroom, and it was 11lbs higher than before the 1½ weeks (with early morning, post-bathroom, naked weigh-in)
  • I'm fine with continuing to gain, continuing to eat at surplus, and I'm not concerned about where it'll go, I liked the fat-distrubution I had when I was heavier, so I'm sure it'll go towards that. I was just wondering if I might be so lucky that the 'flabbyness' I felt now, could already be my period, or already be…
  • I'm 5'9", and my lowest was just 2½ weeks ago at 116lbs. Not an extremely low BMI, but the speed of which I lost weight might have affected it too - 2 years ago I was at 265lbs.
  • Thanks :) I'm hoping to lose the 'scrawny' look of my upper chest, back and arms soon, right now all the extra flab seems to have gone to my belly and boobs, lol :b As for clothes, I still have all the clothes from my weight loss, so I'll actually be able to fit more of it when I gain a bit!
  • That's true, I guess that makes more sense how it could turn to fat quickly, since it's just 'filling' the cells, rahter than actually having to build anything.
  • No - I just got too skinny. I had been losing weight (since I was morbidly obese), and I kind of 'forgot' how to eat at maintance rather than a deficit because I had been at it for so long. So I'm working on gaining, until I get better, and then work on 'learning' to maintain.
  • Because I pass out, my heart rate is dangerously low, my blood pressure is low, I'm freezing all the time, and I'm scared I've made myself infertile since it's been almost 2 years since I've had my period and much more. And my doctors' best theory right now is that it's due to too low body fat. So that's why gaining…
  • Yes, I'm not looking to get pregnant right now, but of course, if I never get my period, I'm infertile, which would make me very sad. So the sooner I get it back, the less of a concern that will be. And I also have other health problems that might be caused by too low fat% and consuming too little energy. My doc wanted me…
  • I never said I wanted to gain muscle. The 'options' I considered was if it was fat storage, or period-bloating. I would view both of those options as positive for my health.
  • I'm just hoping it's my period returning. 21 months is a long time, so everytime in over 1½ years I've felt a tummy ache, sensitive boobs, or irratable mood, I've begged for it to be my long missed period!
  • Yes, deffinitely more carbs. And salt, I think - I usually kind of forget to add salt in my cooking, but I've been eating a lot of food cooked by others now.
  • But do you know how fast? Like, I know that if I eat surplus 875 for 1 day, I'm not gonna have build a quarter lb fat on my boobs the next day.
  • Why does everyone think I want to gain muscle, lol, I have no interest in that. I just want to feel better and get my period back, and my doc thinks gaining fat and eating at a surplus might help that.
  • I'm not particulary interested in building muscle, I need to gain fat. My question was whether my feeling of 'flabbyness' and larger breasts could be attributed to having stored fat already or if I have to wait a little longer to see results, or, if it's because the surplus-eating has triggered my period to return, before…
  • Thank you! I never really set an aim for what to eat in the day, so it's been wildly inconsistant, some days eating above maintance, other days way below. But for those 11 months that I logged, it averaged out to just over 1200.
  • Did some weight lifting last spring, but not since. So I've only done my bicycle commute to and from uni, about 20min each way :)
  • I got a bit obsessed with counting at one point, meaning I would often not add spices (since I didn't want to omit logging them, but too much hassle to actually do!) which was a sad thing! It's easier to keep portion control with very few ingredients, so it's great to make a nuanced flavour pallette with spices! I'm…
  • What are you all paying for quest bars? I see them on sale here for $5, and that's just waaay too much for me to even consider!!
  • I bought them, and have now tried them out :) They were not expensive at all, even though they are organic, about the same as dried beans or bulks of grains. They look a bit like squashed corn-kernels, about the diameter of a pen. Raw, they had a bland but not unpleasant taste: It was kind of like chewing a whole…
  • Thank you for the concern :) Deffinitely feels like muscle pain, which is also why I wasn't super worried (as in, it doesn't feel like I'm damaging, breaking, or wearing down on anything by still moving as much as I can) and massage does help, the really digging, hard, kind - it hurts a lot, but if it gets just right, it…
  • :( I worried this might be the case. I still have to do some "exercise", since bicycling is my only means of transportation. My bike has a baggage rack though, exactly so I don't carry stuff on my back, but it still hurts to be in that position. My doc is open for un-booked appointments friday mornings, maybe I should go…
  • I'd never heard of it either, and the info I could find googling was sparse, hence why I asked here :) I'm also cooking more vegetarian meals, so if these are very versatile, though would sure help with that! I could maybe make meat-freee meat loafs?
  • Wow, your stats are so similar to mine! :D My goal weight is also the low 130's, and I'm in the high 130's now - sooo looking forward to being where you're at! :D
  • This is a really good question, thank you for bringing it up - it can really feed a new mentality :) For so long now, weightloss has been either nagging in the back of my head as something I 'should', or, for these past months, been pretty much a full time occupation (mentally). So where will I put all this focus next?…
  • I'm 5'8", started at 265, and just dipped under 140lbs, meaning passed the 125lbs lost mile-stone! My goal weight is half my weight - I'm so close I can taste it ;) I don't havy any pics from, like, right now, so here are some earlier ones: 265lbs: 150lbs: 145lbs:
