After 10months of very, very precicsly weighing and logging everything, I've gotten really sick of it - it did start to take more control, I would choose food and amount for the sake of logging, rather than how much I actually wanted/needed, or what made sense in the context. Situations where I could not keep up my precise…

Bread, in general, I find crazy that it has so many calories. Because it's such a normal thing to eat! It's not something we are 'taught' to only have in moderation, most the time we hear it's what we should settle our hunger in. And most shocking is, imo, that it's so rarely worth it. Except if it like gourmet bread, it's…

I freaked out a lot when I lost my period as well, but my doc wasn't worried at all: I insisted on getting more check ups, so he sent me to a gynocologist, who also just told me there was nothing to worry about, it's quite normal when losing weight, and congrats on my progress. I asked if I should slow it down, or not lose…

You know what, that actually sounds pretty good. I've been logging more so 'for the week', anyways, meaning I usually do have days where MFP tells me I'm eating to little, only to have it even out after the weekend etc. So I think it would work quite well for me to do low, logged days, and then reasonable, unlogged ones. I…

I made it a game for me too, so I've fun with it while it lasted :) I'm probably a bit too 'competetive' with myself though, so the game turned exhausting.

I know, but it's hard :( Essentially, there's nothing wrong with the logging and tracking, just something wrong with how I get stressed out about it. So I think I'll follow what someone else suggested, to do some 6 days/week of accurate logging, and the 1 without, then 5/2, then 4/3 etc. Phasing out, while still still…

So essentially, not weighing, and just over-estimating? That's what I do when I'm somewhere I can't measure - like eating at work (I cook at a restaurant), or at familys' etc. And the overestimation stresses me out. For instance, I teach at camps, so I had a whole weekend of just estimating food (since I ate what was…

I don't understand, could you try to rephrase?

This, exacty! :)

I want to stop logging, because I get caught up in 'how to log' rather than 'how to eat' - for instance, if I'm cooking, rather than adding ingredients however I see fit, I add only the amount I've carefully weighed out, even if it turns out that I cooked too many lentils, for instance: it's "too much trouble" to try to…

I did 77lbs while logging :) I do plan to keep tabs on my weight, and if it even starts to go up a little bit, I'll just log for a week or 2 to keep it down - So I'm not planning to delete my MFP app or anything, I know I will 'have' to keep it as my secret weapon ;) I have considered losing an extra 10 by doing just below…

It is very possible. I do tend to either be not interested at all, or to be obsessed in all aspects of life: When the switch went away from not-interested-at-all in regards to weightloss, I used that to keep up my drive. Thus, I do think I've been a bit obsessed with it: As I said, it does feel like my life has been on…

Cutting it down one day per. week at a time sound pretty good. Then the 'completionist' in me could say I did 10months of complete logging, one month of easing out of logging, and one month of loss with no logging, adding up the total to 12months before being completely at maintance. I'm a bit scared to trust my own…

No, I lost 77lbs while logging these 10months, I had already lost 43lbs in 6 months before I created my MFP account :)

The way the 'limits' are set up currently kind of sucks. Basically, you have to know beforehand which are meant as 'minimums' and which are 'maximums', as MFP just makes everything a 'goal', and gives you minus points for going over. The saturated fat is meant as a maximum. So essentially, MFP meant to say, the lower the…

Because I'm genuinly excited to be doing it - it's not a duty, it's not because I 'should'. It's a great challenge I'm thrilled to take on.

She deffinitely needs B12 as a supplement. As for protein, I've been really surprised by how many foods that we don't think of as the protein on our plate actually has a lot of protein. So it's important to not only think of swabs for meat, but rethink the whole plate. For instance, a small serving of rice with a tomato…

I just googled around a bit, and found a recipe for sour marinade for cod, so I think it could work! I'm going off the shrimp idea, though, raw shrimp probably isn't something I want to experiment with, and I deffinitely want to use raw seafood. If it works out well, I'll be so happy :b

Oh hey, I'm 5'8" :D This is me at 265lbs: And this is me last weekend, at 150lbs: I'm almost at my half-weight mark, hoping to be there before december! It will be my Christmas present to myself ;)

I thought of that too, that it could be the LDL pushing it up, but when I read about normal total values, I didn't see it listed as a possible reason, so I thought it must be accounted for in some way. I don't think he tested for the further breakdown of the fats in my blood, so I think it would be a guess from him too.…

It will always be true on as a basic principle. Though, estimating how many calories we take in and how many goes out especially, is not simple at all. Estimating what a calorie is biologically is incredible difficult, and something that is still being refined all the time. I study food science, and our professors hate…

I just wish more entries had vitamins and minerals listed : / Labels here don't have vitamins and minerals listed. So my reports are always showing I get a **** ton of vit C, from the fresh vegs I add, but very little calcium, as most my calcium would come from yoghurts, and those entries don't have minerals.

At the moment, I'm kind of sick and tired of it... But I think that's also because I like to be super accurate, while at the same time, I'd be mortified if anyone found out I weigh my food.... So it's does make things difficult. Once I reach my goal, which is soon, I think I'll be VERY relaxed about logging, I won't weigh…

Buying fancy boxes of expensified foods when asking for cheap meals? As far as I can tell, those are tiny servings of snacks, only some of the dried fruit ones are big enough to even be counted as a whole serving of fruit. Pretty sure OP can get 4 servings of fruit for a lot less than $6.49

I just started to write down meal plans for myself. Do it on my computer, though. It's mainly to make sure to use what ingredients and leftovers I have, so I know how to cook for the next few weeks with buying the least possible extra ingredients. Money are a bit tight atm, which is silly, since I have a pretty well…

I still feel like I'm lying when I go to the straight sizes rather than plus! And since I like tighter fits, I even own several items in SMALL now!!! wtf!

The pic on the left is actually my favorite pic of me, "even though" it's from my heaviest - this picture is from the day after, and the 265 doesn't sit as well ;)

I actually don't think of myself as much of a dress-person, but since I'm very picky with the fit of jeans (and frugal!), I've had to give them up during my weight loss :b I get most my clothes from H&M, which is far more my price range, than these dresses - I've just discovered that I love this shop Gudrun Sjoden - I was…

Thank you everyone :D Among people I know in real life, I like to keep kinda quiet about this whole thing, but's it's nice to have someone here, who are on similar journeys, congratulating each others progress :)

I'll wear green forevaaaaaaar :b I love green, if something comes in green, I get it in green. You can see a bit of my green drawers and green bedding in the background too!
