Thermodynamics doesn't apply to the human body, in this aspect. It is often times not understood correctly on these boards. People stick by this, even though scientists (who aren't biased and payed off) have clearly stated our bodies to not burn the way the studies for thermodynamics are tested. It does NOT apply to the…

Trying to use the “Laws of Thermodynamics” to explain human biological functions is pure folly. Scientific laws only apply to laboratory situations where variables are controlled and systems are closed off from all other systems. The human body is NOT a closed system and our lives DO NOT take place in laboratories. To put…

taken plenty of science courses a theory isn't fact
-
lol it can be changed by many things, making it not 100%
-
Yes and different peoples bodies expel it differently. Some people burn more than others. So there is no real exact way to know anything. Its all a general estimate. My body might break down 1500 calories differently then someone elses body. People on these forums act like metabolisms don't exist.
-
Also since everyone has learned the term "strawman" its like a fad all over the internet. Every forum I go on now people are using that term to seem smart.....
-
Have you been on these forums? Its a cluster**** of misinformation and people denouncing everything medical professionals say.
-
I dont know. When I first started dieting, I did the salads, healthy smoothies, tons of healthy fats, fruits, vegetables, eggs, ect. Uhh I got burnt out on that crap really fast. I love avocado but I even got burnt out on that.
-
Yes each persons calories out is different. Making each person need a different calories in. So you could enter your basic specs into one of these websites to find your tdee and bmr, eat the way it says and still not lose....BECAUSE of variables. Its not 100%
-
hahahahahahahahaha lol Its a theory because it cant be proven...
-
I am saying calories in calories out is not 100%
-
lol I agree with you. Having to hunt down every single item when you try a new meal is very annoying.
-
?? Nothing I lost 30 pounds this year.
-
Do you guys honestly think its healthy that once you stop logging you stop losing? That shows that the logging wasn't teaching you much. When I logged for like 4 months I ate the same foods 3-5 days out of the week, I pretty much knew on days I forgot to log how much I ate at each meal because I ate the same stuff. I did…
-
I think that it does keep us in check a lot. But I just think people need to reach a point where they dont need to log
-
One is required and one isn't...If you attempt to lose weight for 30 years ok. But once you do it for 2 years, lose the weight, you should have a general idea of how much you are eating.
-
According to this forum, he must fidget 24/7
-
I think the inaccurate information on all the forums even calorie counter can be very discouraging.
-
Its not hard since this site saves most of your foods and if you eat the same stuff everyday its obviously easy. But when you first start out you have to build up the food inventory.
-
No one is making excuses. Its unrealistic to think you are going to have to log for the rest of your life. Not to mention how inaccurate it is. If I eat someone elses cooking I dont know every single spice they put on it, I can't weigh out every single squirt of ketchup that is like OCD. I understand to an extent but its…
-
And here you go with the 1000 of reasons, oh well they fidget or your not with them 24 hours a day blah blah blah. NO there are just naturally thin people. lol these fitness forums a joke..
-
So you are SAYING you had a scientific study done to back up how you couldn't gain weight? And in 6 weeks when you should of gained way more you gained 2 pounds...Hmmmmm
-
They were all over this topic with their stories but all you guys can do is denounce everything they say. So really what is the point? So every SINGLE person you know who doesn't measure is overweight? lol
-
I was going to say, that is clearly corset training. Her profile says she is tired of being the fat girl but she clearly isn't fat at all.
-
I think a lot of people binge eat. I have always had a love affair with soda from a very young age I LOVE pepsi only pepsi though. I was addicted like a straight fiend. When I decided I needed to cut the bull**** I couldn't just reward myself with pepsi, I had to cut it off cold turkey. That worked best for me. Like if you…
-
No they aren't actually very rare. Its also not uncommon to know someone who does nothing but drink beer, eat fast food and sit around, while not gaining one pound.
-
I dont know, you have people that swear by calorie in and calorie out and there is NO WAY those naturally skinny people are eating 4k of junk a day and just sitting around....Even though, you know, we all know people WHO DO THAT......... When I was a teenager I went to school half days, I sat in my room smoking weed ,…
