Well my first swim is planned for tomorrow. I'm having a well deserved rest day today... and I plan on making it count!! Lots of naps, watching films, etc. :D Aaaaah

Great stuff Ejourneys, katrinadulce, SammieJustMe, FitFroglet, Kellryn, Steve_Rance, xcalygrl, and Healthfulnow!!! And without meaning to sound patronising good try bdgfn, luvsunshine1, salevy, and harthron. Did you make it JillPEvans? The great thing is we were all active!! :D

01.09 - 0 mins - much needed rest day! Total time for September: 0 hrs Total time left: 24 hrs Have decided as it's the last day of my holidays I'm going to take today off. I'll start the new school year as I mean to go on with a nice long swim tomorrow. :)

Don't have any advice regarding the fitbit flex, but just wanted to say enjoy your swim :)
-
:) Thanks!! :) I've no idea if this is achievable (for me)... but I'll try!
-
And it's nice to see some familiar names from the August thread as well as some new faces :)
-
I think you can just set your own rules :) That's what's so great about this challenge. Personally I only count formal exercise. But plenty of others count everything. :) No right way - just whatever pushes you to be more active :)
-
Lol after my success of August I'll sign up but I seriously doubt I'll be able to reach this this month. (I'll be back in school).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsBon3DTwIY This video made me chuckle. I wish it was a gif!! Dad uses reverse psychology to persuade his child to walk.

Just double check your spelling of Elliptical Trainer because it's definitely there, I use it. :) Edit to say - your thread title is spelt wrong - it has two Ls in it. You spelt it right in your original post though :)

Anyone who says walking isn't good exercise needs a slap. I went to visit a friend in the holidays who doesn't have a car... we walked MILES for HOURS! Literally. Now I am fit. Or at least I am in the sports/activities I regularly take part in. (Swimming, ellipitcal etc)... but OMG my body has not ached so much and for so…

. (Didn't see this was in the chit chat thread and mine began with B- Broccoli).

Also to say it doesn't help that at this weight I get lots of compliments because my weight loss is noticable. That always boosts me up (and also fools me into thinking I don't need to carry on).... and in the past when I have said I'm carrying on those comments turn into the typical 'don't' type of comments which leads me…

No you aren't alone. I'm at my 'wow I'm fab' weight. What I mean is, on previous weight loss sections of my journey, when I've lost around 1-2stone I've gotten to 10st7, and thought yay I look great. I can see my hips (when I lay down), my clothes look fab, I'm a UK size 10/12 (I'm also an hour glass so I can hide fat…

If you've set MFP up to lose 2lbs a week, that is a 1000 calorie deficit a day, 7000 calorie deficit a week. So if your pizza was 7000 calories then you've just eaten at maintenance for this week. If it was less, you're still in a deficit and will still lose weight (although this might be small and not measure able by your…

Great stuff everyone! Even if you didn't reach your goals we still tried, and are (from my quick glance) smaller than we were when we started!! Hurrah! :) Good luck for September! X

Just had a brainwave... I have a diving slate... I could just write on there my drills and leave it on the side of the pool. Genius! That way I won't have to remember the workout :)
-
:) thanks! I've been looking on speedos pace club website and they've got a "development" section with workouts/drills for freestyle so I've got a few more to play with :) my aim once I'm back at school is to do 30 mins breaststroke, however many lengths, just to get my heart up at a consistent rate, then spend 10-15 mins…

How did the first workout go?
-
:D Will be interesting to know how someone else is doing... although I am prepared you'll kick my *kitten* given your male and I'm not. :) I just want to be the strongest I can be :D

I just wanted to sing my own praises here really. I am SOOO proud of the effort I've put in to this, especially the last few days where I've upped it just so I can say I have done 24hr of formal exercise. :D 01.08 - 60min - Elliptical Trainer 02.08 - 30min - Elliptical Trainer 03.08 - 60min - Elliptical Trainer 04.08 -…

Hurrah had no technical issues today! Comparing to the first day since the last one I had issues with the App. Week 2 Day 1 (Arms Day) Classic Push-Ups - Ladders - 43 (increase of 3). I managed 7 on the 2nd step, unfortunately my form began to slip so I moved it up to Step 4 for the last 10 Let Me Ins With knees - Ladders…

Awww thank you x I am pleased - I set myself the task of losing 3lbs this month - just because I knew I was going away twice and would struggle to lose anything those times, I settled for maintaining, and even though I did have some water weight gain it was lost quickly. :) I'm pleased that I've hit my goal for the end of…

WOW! Considering you haven't swam competitively for so long that is amazing and definitely inspirational!

I always have a post-evening meal pre-bed snack :) It's the only thing that keeps me on this 'diet' lol. I have around 200-300 calories each night, and it's always some form of chocolate/biscuit/cake thing. Tonight's is 210 calories worth of Lindt Lindor. Mmm! It doesn't matter when you eat. :)
-
Just seen this - looks good - loving the tutorials about different drills. Shame there doesn't appear to be an iPad app to go with it.

Oh no!! How was the race?
