Just now I ran into a (male) neighbor, whom I hadn't seen for a few months. Him: You are the half of what you used to be! (Greek expression for "You are shrinking") Me: Thanks! Him: I didn't mean that as a good thing! (Because we all know that being obese is a good thing...:noway: ) Me:.... I'm losing it on…

Same here! 5'2" (158 cm), started this journey on September 28th 2013 when I weighed 177lbs (around 80,5 kilos - BMI: 32.2). Now, at about 6 months into this, I'm really close to (re)entering the healthy BMI range (I'm about 3 lbs away  )! My goal is 118 lbs, because I really looked good at that weight (11 years ago…

Sure, you can't avoid your favourite foods for ever! For me, it took me a couple of months to get into the right shape of mind and feel comfortable to start eating again some foods, without feeling I might "relapse". I think I'm making much more healthier choices now (my blood exams have really improved) and now I always…

If you read my first post, you will see that I've started eating again in small portions the foods I avoided. I'm getting back into it slowly. Except junk food, I 'll try to avoid it as much as I can.

Yes, but you can't be obese & fail forever. When someone's having health problems (for instance high glucose, high blood pressure), there are some foods that he needs to eat in much smaller portions or not eat at all.

Well, every time I tried moderation when I started a new diet, I failed miserably. It was like I was a recovering alcoholic who had a few shots now and then. I'm sure there are a few other people out there who feel the same. I do plan to start eating all foods in moderation when I reach my goal weight.

I am kinda of a masochist, I like to watch Top Chef when I'm working out :blushing: I loveee food and this is the only way to watch Top Chef without stepping into the kitchen and emptying the fridge  (Just finished season 17 actually, I think I'm gonna watch again some of the previous seasons... )

Coffee is the only thing I decided NOT to quit when I started this diet 4 months ago. 2 cups everyday with 4 tsp of sugar in total. I am on a really strict diet and think I would die without coffee! (Well, I know I wouldn't die and I guess I can live without coffee, but I do not even want to try :p!!!)

I have the same height, but started my journey from a BMI~32. I'm currently at 27.4 trying to get to ~22 by eating healthy and exercising. I am very commited and do not even do cheat days.
