  • Your horse reminds me of a mare I had years ago. There is a ton of info out there, but barn work has always worked for me. Only time I can lose weight easily.

  • My new thought for the day - make the whole world go on a diet whether they need it or not, deprive them of their fave foods for a couple of days and then eat them in front of them and see how they feel. I
  • Talk about sisterhood and can I join. Birth control contributed and 60 days later it is finally starting to go away. I have about another 60-90 days before all the hormones are out of my system. I am hoping to see a big difference. In the meantime, my butcher knife looks really good on certain days. Why pay a doctor to cut…
  • The ones who let their little darlings do whatever they want and get mad when your mommy instincts go on overdrive and you dare to correct them. Case in point the boy who was grabbing my son and trying to bite him at the park and mommy dearest just sat watching. After asking him to keep his hands to himself and him trying…
  • I have back, knee and shoulder problems and live my life within my limits. They may be less than some, but more than others. If your doc has given the o.k. do whatever you can do. If you join a gym, schedule sessions with a personal trainer, just let them know about your situation so they can give you the best input.
  • Sounds like a plan. I had my scales, not challenge related, just serious ocd with them. So the last time I weighed: 217. Goal: 15 lbs. Goal: 10 inches
  • o.k. Propel is another good one which I like especially when it gets warm and I am working hard. Dr. will tell you better what may be going on. Isn't that why they get paid the big bucks??

  • change up your toning program.
  • Mine doesn't care about weight or anything. He is another that is turned off by not enough weight. I know he looks, but ditto, he comes home to me and the look in his eyes is for me and me alone.
  • Just a reminder. When you are craving things, most of the time it is because of a defiency. They always tell all moms to be to let there OB know if they start craving dirt, etc. Obviously if you are craving a twinkie thats a head thing, but craving protein, carbs, salt, etc can indicate the body is not getting enough of…

  • Yes, yes and yes again. Supply and demand have got us all by the !!!!. How many have you have gotten the email that if you frequent the lowest price you will force gas prices down? Yeah, that came out when gas hit $2/gallon. It really worked. I am the real evil person who thinks a whole lot about all the different social…
  • Don't feel guilty, but are you going every night after work or only a couple. Although I am doing the stay at home thing now, I have the same problem. I don't like the wait times at the gym for daycare, so I go two nights a week and first thing in the am on the weekends. This gives me my time, daddy gets "daddy time" and…
  • Yeah, isn't it fun when they are in that mood and then they look at you and go "what's your problem"!

  • If you are really feeling hostile, follow the lead from the scene in the Prince of Tides and take a can of Alpo, an onion, some seasonings and little potato and give him that. I am still of the opinion if you don't like what is served I will either serve you something waaaaaaaay worse or get you own food. Hang in there. My…

  • Other than my husband and my kids and my family, -watching a thunderstorm build up and playing in the rain and everything else nature can bring other than bugs -the smell of lumber (brings back great memories of my dad) -galloping across an open field on a perfect day and realizing that I get paid to do this -a really good…
  • My kids, after my first cup of coffee in the morning and my husband. They all rank up there.
  • Do you have to lose 20 lbs in a month? You say you have before which means you gained it back and then some? Shoot for 10lbs and losing inches. Much healthier
  • Treadmill. My elliptical is about shot and I love to walk, but the PacNW is not always conducive to walking, plus no good hills. I would rather do the elliptical at the gym and still get my 4 miles done on rainy days instead of sitting contemplating what looks good in the house to eat. The rest in savings and a little for…
  • Watching the tiny kids in the neighborhood playing in the street and no parents around. People who sneak in 30-40 items in the express lane for 10-15 items. People driving slow in ALL lanes, or the ones afraid to go by tractor trailers. My thin friends saying, "I am too fat, or these are my fat jeans and they are at most a…
  • Never pathetic. Where is he training out of? If it is close and you need help!?! When Chris and I got married, my mom and stepfather came out, my now step-daughter, his mom, his sister and two nieces. His dad, other sister, brother in law, their kids, his brother and wife and the rest of my family couldn't make it and…
  • Also, you will go through days when you are too upset to eat/exercise and everything else. I know it is hard not to breakdown, but it is normal. When my husband is gone I can't even watch anything over Memorial Day or I spend all day in tears. This is one of the hardest things to deal with, married or not. On the…
  • Have him ask the battalion chaplain if he will marry you. There are really good flight deals going on now. Fly out, get married and let you both have some peace of mind. Convoys are scary. My husband was with the 106th Trans. Batt at Fort Campbell and was with a trans batt in Desert Storm. Scares the hell out of you. You…
  • It is not easiest. I understand the "what if" factor. There may be some other issues at hand. There are so many true, moderately true and downright wrong stories that go around about what happens during deployments, both stateside and overseas and if he is listening to some of those, he may be getting wigged out. Ask him…
  • I do lunges and squats when I vacuum and I scrub my kitchen floors once a week in basic plank position, calf raises when I dust or do windows, along with parking as far out as possible.
  • Good luck with it all. Is waiting what you both want or does it seem easiest.
  • Just wasn't sure. I was in the same weight cat though. I walked, a lot. I can imagine what a handful they are now. My boys are 11 months 6 days apart. Not the same, but close.
  • Does it have the monitor? Most of them do. If not, pop on a pedometer and go on your distance covered and log it under walking. That is the exercise it most closely resembles.
  • A little personal, the babies are gorgeous. Are they still newborn and are you breastfeeding or pumping. That does change your caloric intake. If you are, make sure you eat at least 400-500 extra per day for milk supply and really watch what you eat, as in very well balanced.
